  3. Custom dark angels successor chapter called the Templars of Caliban http://i.imgur.com/hWWXVml.jpg http://i.imgur.com/LxsCQTg.jpg
  4. Hi guys.im restarting my imperial army for the fourth and final time. Currently I've been simply painting Marines, but other imperial forces will be added. Trying to focus on less well known chapters, so any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. To start, some pictures of what I have so far: 2 Custodes, one being a conversion. Dark Angels tactical squad and librarian. Emperor's warbringers tac squad. (My phone may not let me add img tags. If it doesn't, I will come in later and edit) http://i.imgur.com/MGGdHwR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6EYZkcS.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6K6cRHw.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wjVUUlg.jpg http://i.imgur.com/rYWhkNn.jpg http://i.imgur.com/dqmPvR7.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Yz8pRyo.jpg http://i.imgur.com/XOWkW54.jpg I'm looking to add more Contingents from various chapters, so if you have any interest in seeing a chapter painted up, share your suggestions with me! The basic premise of the army is that while Guiliman attempts to return the dark imperium to terra's light on the other side of the great rift, a defensive crusade has been launched to beat back major uprisings and attacks.
  5. I swear I've asked this before, but how did you get certain images to the left or right side of your post?
  6. Looking cool! Especially like the feet being reinforced.
  7. I'm actually part of an international jousting group, called stichting HEI: we recently started delving into the 13th century and last weekend did our first 13th century show: (just ignore the non historical beginning)this is what inspired me to use the codex manesse as inspiration for a knight, given how much the 40k knights are based on the high medieval period. it also allowed me to field something more original than just another house terryn or whatever knight... the build will definetly take its time, as during the unpacking it became clear the pauldrons got damaged during transport, and pieces of their reinforments broke off. the question is if i'll now try to repair them using plasticard and greenstuff, or destroy them even more, representing damage inflicted upon the knight. not to mention the usual bending in some resin pieces. not that i would dare to complain, given how cheap i picked this one up! I also managed to forget to get a jar of leadbelcher metal today at the LGS so will need to head back there. (their gamecolor paints on sale at half the price distracted me too much...) Immersturm, i'm definetly looking forward to your magnetisation tutorial! Very cool! I'm part of the Society for Creative Anachronism: http://sca.org/
  8. Very cool. if you need more medieval art for inspiration let me know. :D I am part of a historical research and recreation group.
  9. I'm liking your warshrine mutant conversions. great idea!
  10. I like to see these brothers of bygone times. hail ryza, and great paintwork.
  11. I was unaware of the over-writing of the previous codex. thank you for that tidbit commodus.
  12. Thank you for your thoughts.
  13. please tell me you are going to find bear miniatures at reaper or some such to add to the base! That would be epic!
  14. Out of curiosity did you buy the original codex IK? What are your thoughts on the new dex after a year? Sorry for the possible thread derail. Just curious.
