Angels of Death: Heavy intercessor and the values

Ok, assault intercessors drunk a lot of my blood and nerves while I trying shoot them with proper level of detail AND the same colors I see on them and put on them.

Hysterical googling gives nothing except few photography guidelines which ain't help cause my phone camera has almost no settings.

After some more research I found solution thanks to book published in 1937... It's about painting scenery. But it's helps.  If applied to our hobby, main thing is average value. And since miniature alone on photo would be too bright or too dark depends on you background you need backdrop with same grayscale values as your mini.

Beholds for I bring you glorious news god walks among us..

Sorry wrong blog...

There is WIP Heavy intercessor without weathering and without part of shadows and highlights.

But he has all details and all colours as i see them.

Also painting backdrop is fun by itself.

For I don't believe in my expression power there is hive on there very back and sanguinary bastion on front (with little ugly angel atop)

Two  blots near the gate should be titans river and warhound for gate scale but I couldn't (yet) paint titan recognizable in 3mm(

Now I wanna finish backdrop with this kill team and make one for each kill team I have.
