This event is the culmination of our Cataclysm of Iron series, you do not need to have attended any of the other Cataclysm of Iron events to participate in this one.
We are anticipating that all factions will have new rules with the re-launch of the Horus Heresy by Games Workshop at this point - for this event we will be using the new Warhammer Horus Heresy rules released by Games Workshop, along with any supplements, FAQs, Errata etc. .
The event will consist of a choice between large scale games of Age of Darkness, games of centurion style Age of Darkness, games of Adeptus Titanicus and games of our in house void battle system - Imperialis Armada. Players can choose which games they would like to play by selecting the relevant ticket. Large scale games will last the entirety of the day where as the smaller games will each have three games throughout the day. Additional rules for how these games will be played is contained within the player pack.
For this event we also have character roles available - these people will interact with players throughout the event, in character. Included in their ticket is a costume (which they can take home as a souvenir and a complimentary BBQ ticket (and Camping ticket if desired). Note these tickets are weekend tickets so ticket holders will need to be present on both the Saturday and the Sunday (see the Saturday event page for tickets).
The site car park is a short walk from the venue (there is no parking outside the hall itself) the cost of this in approx. £2.50 for a day, there are two machines for payment on the site, both accept contactless payment, one is situated in the car park and the other outside the coffee shop. The coffee shop is seasonal and may or may not be open during the event – they carry a small selection of snacks and drinks when open.
Players will need to park in the carpark and walk to the venue – however if you do require the facility to ‘drop off’ any items this can be arranged on the day if required. Please let us know.
As the closest shop/off license is a short drive away we would recommend that players bring with them anything they would want during the event such as refreshments and snacks.
This is a FUN narrative gaming weekend, where you are encouraged to leave tournament lists at home and instead focus on the game as telling a story rather than checking off another victory, having said that for this event we encourage the use of alternative Force Organisation charts and the larger items in your collection. For Imperialis Armada tickets the event organisers will be providing all the models and sundries required to play the game. The games will be objective based and as such you're investment in the wider hobby is much more of an aim than simply winning games.
