  1. I've been look forward to seeing you paint am exocrine, they're my favourite model in the tyranid range.
  2. Here's another link, this time it's shrikes http://imgur.com/gallery/LQuS1bx
  3. I've got a large back log of painting to get done. Been having some luck finding cheap second hand models. Currently have a toxicrene, 5 warriors, 6 hive guard, 3 biovores, 1 prime, 10 genestealers, 4 zoanthropes, 6 venomthropes, 1 neurothrope, 2 walking hive tyrants, 3 converted Pyrovores, 5 shrikes, ton of spores and 1 hormagaunt to paint.
  4. Love contrast paints, they really speed things up. That broodlord looks great.
  5. I'd consider swapping the raveners and red terror. (Unless they're working for you) I've always struggled with those units. What other units do you own?
  6. Thanks, it's nice of you to say, It's taken a lot of practice and patience and I'm still learning and improving.
  7. Very inventive ways to build both units from the thrope kit Xenith. I quite like the gargoyle body used as the zoans tail. I can't work out how to post pictures from my mobile, so here's a link to my latest work.. It's a maleceptor http://imgur.com/gallery/lUOoo9y Here's a malanthrope i created last month.. http://imgur.com/gallery/6gPgIrD Here's a link to my custom pyrovores.. https://i.imgur.com/hsdfkxP.jpg Here's a link to my custom tervigon.. http://imgur.com/gallery/oEJ7JDY
  8. Jbaeza94 that paint job is beautiful! Thank you very much for going through the trouble to bring us that photo. It's smaller than i was expecting, which I'm pleased with. The modifications you've added work really nicely. Looks closer to the GW range and less like a 3rd party piece. Thanks again
  9. That's a big help thank you for digging that photo up for me. It definitely looks like its toughness 5, which is the issue i have with the prime we can build from the box.
  10. Again im really interested in your prime conversion. I've seen the alpha warrior from hydra cast. But I found it hard to scale the size. How does it measure up with warriors?
  11. I've been looking for a good prime conversion, i might just steal this design for my own. I was planning pn repurposing my 3rd edition tyrant for the prime role, but I think it might be too tall. The lictor lower half works really nice.
  12. So I've been working hard in restoring some old forgotten models. Im planning on making some pyrovores out of some warriors I've stripped back. I was hoping for every one to share they're best conversions, big and small, so i can find aome inspiration for my next project.
  13. Hi there, my first thoughts on your list are that you need more termagants, 20 isnt enough to justify a tervigon for respawns. Id say minimem would be 2 units of 30 (with fleshborers, devourers are only for deep striking shenanigans) Secondly, dont pay for upgrades on the stealers. They're very powerful already a very powerful unit, they're also quite expensive and fragile, spend points on more models rather than upgrades. Warriors should always take death spitters over devourers. Devs are 4p each and DS are 5p. For 1p more you get S5 over S4 and ap1 over ap0. 100% worth the investment here. Honeslty I'd say follow any direction you want in expanding your collection, its about enjoying the hobby.. That said, lictors are in a bad place at the moment. Death leaper will fill your lictor needs, but i really believe they are the new pyrovores in 8th edition. Try and fill out the genestealers, termagants and hormagaunts. It's surprising how long it can take down a full unit of 30 gants. Swarmlord is as close to an auto include there is in my army. He works so well with stealers. He might get some work out of the haruspex too.
  14. Honestly I wouldn't get a second starter set. 1 trygon is a good transport, a second becomes an sub par choice. A shame because more stealers are always welcome and a secone broodlord is a sound choice. Could be worth it if you go for 1 trygon and 1 mawloc?? Id advice to start getting the individual boxes and take your swarm in your own direction.
  15. Keep all of your gribblies stock, horms, terms, stealers they all do they're work best as cheap as possible. Tervigons can be viable in a list with mass termagants. There is a case to just spend the points on more gants, but there is no right or wrong way. To answer on how many Tervigons, I have one tervigon for every 3X30 units of termagants and I'm happy with that. I haven't crunched the numbers for peak efficiency, I try to avoid mathhammer and keep things fun.
