  1. Completely off topic but I went to the UK Forbidden Planet webstore to look at Joy Toy (they don't have much, just Blood Angels pre-orders) but did discover a load of really nice 40K (specifically 10th edition) gaming accessories from Ultra Pro - I'm guessing they are licensed products launching in March 2025 but hadn't heard of them. The dice scrolls are particularly nice.
  2. Syama Pederson has rebranded his YouTube channel (Digital Bones) and uploaded two new videos - one is the Astartes 2 teaser and the other is a showreel of his personal and professional work. Watching the showreel, I could be wrong, but there might be some more 40K stuff we haven't seen before? Has he done Grey Knights before?
  3. I think it goes without saying that both Amazon and GW will want Astartes front and centre in this. I suspect, for that reason, we will get a brand new, standalone story. If they were going to adapt an existing story though, for me, Dan Abnett's Grey Dawn: Undertaking to Baal Solock (part of the Brothers of the Snake) would make an interesting movie and a good introduction to 40K. In an ideal world though we'd get Gaunt's Ghosts presented as "Band of Brothers in Space" or Eisenhorn, but I just think Space marines will need to feature heavily in this, which is a shame as there are better stories to be told without them being front and centre. As for the deal itself, the deadline isn't up yet and it will be a long time before we hear anything.
  4. I really miss the Black Library advent calendars. Wish they would bring them back.
  5. So, the tokens are provided with the teams, rather than the cards? That's somewhat annoying. I have all of the teams already, don't want to buy them again to get the cards.
  6. Even looks to be wearing the same glove too?
  7. I have to say, from a technical stand point, GW really have upped their plastic game. The Mechanicum in plastic are barely indistinguishable from their resin counterparts and the Spyrers are amazing. The Solar Auxilia releases recently were also great.
  8. I'm wondering now if the floaty alien thing is actually a model for a Necromunda psi-grub? They are in Book of Judgement but you use tokens for them, and with GSC being the next big baddies could we start seeing lots more psykers?
  9. Yeah, I'd say they are definitely from the same model. The foot sort of, loosely, reminds me of a mini War Dog (Chaos Armiger). Daemon possessed Chaos robots of some sort I think.
  10. I'm starting to think my Catachan Face Eater prediction for an earlier rumour engine pic might not be so crazy now..... But, I seem to remember that the original plan for Warhammer Quest after Blackstone Fortress was to alternate between AoS and 40K. After Blackstone Fortress we had Cursed City so we are due (if that was true) a new 40K Warhammer Quest. I reckon that's what the new weird aliens are for. Or, Catachans....
  11. I would also lean towards Necromunda as a lot of the latest Necromunda models seem to be sporting 3 fingered augmetics. It's also quite beaten up in the same way. However, not sure it is Necromunda. Does look a bit more Chaos tbh. I was gonna say maybe Charonite Ogryns for Solar Auxilia but went back and looked at the original models and this looks nothing like their weapons.
  12. From a rules/gameplay perspective, potentially how different would these be to Drop Pods? I'm assuming they deepstrike? In the same way? I guess they have no weapons and can't take dreadnoughts, unlike Drop Pods This is purely an economical question, lol. They look like they will be better value financially but will they be completely different? Asking as a newbie with no experience using Termites in either Heresy or Epic. Edit: turns out it helps if I read the article.....
  13. Managed to get a copy, queue wasn't too bad (20 minutes) but price seems to be £85, not £80 as rumoured?
  14. It's getting very frustrating. I'm taking part in a slow grow (500pts per month) campaign at my local club. I now have 1,500pts which is 2 starter sets and some odds and sods I got on eBay. Next month I need to muster another 500pts but the only way I can do this is to add in Solar Auxilia to my Astartes, which I didn't want to do as I was hoping to sell them on. I think almost everyone in the campaign is having similar issues. It's also not ideal running lists using models I can find, rather than models I want and almost everyone I'm playing against has pretty much an identical list because that's all we can get hold of. It's making it difficult to invest both financially and mentally into the game.
  15. Cloak: check Artificer armour: check Fancy shield: check Fancy sword: check Great pose: check It's a great mini but makes me really wish this was more like what the Command Squad set should have looked like. But, it's a nice mini.
