Tactica: World EatersI have yet to see anything regarding tactics for the Eaters of Worlds in the Horus Heresy. Just about every other legion has their own thread, but not us. I believe it is time to change that. Unfortunately, I'm an aspirant to the world of 30k, and due to unforeseen warp storms my copy of the rule books wont be here for quite some time (read UPS doesn't deliver to FPO/APO addresses). What is a fledgling god of the arena to do? I can write fluff till the cows come home, and assemble models till my fingers bleed (I'm sure a certain god would just love that), but I have no direction, no insight into what works best for the bloody VIIth. I'm calling on all the brothers of the World Eaters Legion. This is your chance to create a comprehensive depository on how to best rampage your way through the galaxy. For when the day comes that you must fall in the heat of battle, lying dead atop a mountain of the enemy, it does the rest of us no good if you take all your knowledge and leadership skills with you. ...And go!

So, i haven't had a chance to play anything but a couple Crusade games with the Indomitus box set, so i haven't had a chance to try and really see what's good so far in 9th and the new codex. (and my copy still hasnt shipped from GW, so i've yet to even read it, sad face). What i was hoping i could get from you fine folks, is some ideas on some 1000pt, and 2000pt lists using the Crimson Fists models in my collection. And some suggestions on a couple purchases to add in would be appreciated as well. Mainly, i've just bought what looked interesting to build and paint. So bear in mind, my collection might not be optimized, ergo the request for help here. But i would like to at least use most of what i already own, and not have to go out and buy $300+ of new content, if possible. Though when the new gladiator and primaris speeder come out, i would like one of each kit, cause they look interesting model-wise. so with the preamble done, this is what i currently own: edit: i goofed making my list, my invictor has the flamer, not the autocannon.

Brand new Guard player speaking. As of now I have 301pts worth of Guard: A tank commander, a commissar and two infantry squads. I have a lascannon team but I don't use them. Right now I have $127 Canadian in my student bank account and I'll get 30-40 more bucks on my birthday and I'm asking what units should I get to add to my list. Company Commander is already on my list, but I've also been recommended Psykers (usually the Primaris or Astropath), Armoured Sentinel, more Leman Russes (I kind of want a executioner, even if it's range isn't as good as the battle cannon) etcetera. I feel like these are good suggestions but is there anymore? I'm very clueless when it comes to list building.
