Hi folks, As a small project framed into my 12 MoH pledge for December, here comes 2 extra models for my Adeptus Mechanicus army: a Axiarch and an Archeotechnologist. These 2 lads will bring my head counts for Marshalls and Archeotechnologists to 3 for each category, reaching the full max number for the rooster. Low to no incentive to had any extra model from the HH series when the Skitarii Battle Pilgrim Marshall will be released… The Archeotechnologist is the model that was coming with the Servitor Battle Clade box for KT. It is the typical model you receive but do not really need (unless you are building a KT for KT…). I have applied the same type of scheme as for my previous Archeologist, even if I made some variants in the colors for the color for example. The Axiarch has been bought before summer and was waiting for getting some love. Which is now done. The Titanshard armor, depicted as a Shield on the model, has been made out of bright red, so that it fits with the scheme of Legio Honorum that is usually fighting along Stygies forces. I had planned black stripes too, but it was not that good so I covered them wholly in red. I am not really Stygies but I like presenting the army as a rogue party that left Stygies VIII as an exploratory fleet and partly broke its bound with its forgeworld. It makes easier justifying that they are on that purpose closely monitored by various =][= ordos (and as such the Inquisitorial retinues I am working on and my kitbashed Inquisitor can come along and maybe some of my Deathwatch Marines too). An Arcuitor from Mars might even join the frey some day… While waiting for an Arcuitor, I am the Inquisitor in charge... Here come the models: Next steps for Mecanicum will be any of the remaining units: Pteraxii, Serberis or Ironstriders Ballistarus; unless it will be the Moiraxes. But it will be for next year now. Hi Folks, I though I was done with AdMech, owning now enough models to field a good sized army even at larger game size. Yet it appeared that my project to complete the painting of the last Sicarians ans Sulphurhounds lefts is not going to be the ultimate task related to this faction. I have indeed fallen again into the sin of compulsive buying and have just added these two lads: The Skatros itself is not that useful in my army structure, as I already have 5 skitarii rangers and vanguards with their own Transuranic arquebuses. Sniper side is therefore covered. But the model is so odd and characterful that, even on its ridiculous tilts, it brings that cyberpunk taste to the army... That I could not miss or leave aside. But the lad will go radium long rifle. Enough arquebuses. The Axiarch is going to be used as a proxy Marshal. A comon choice that enrich the range of midrange characters and allow getting less static and uniform distribution of models for this very useful type of subcharacter. So what now? Assembly and painting? Probably not too soon, as these 2 lads can bring some entries and pledges in the CtA25 at Imperiulms side if I pledge here (10pts if rating is left as past years). And these models are probably best prepainted before assembly than more bulky and less detailled ones. I will therefore keep them jealously on my shelves for a couple of months... Hi folks, After a while developping my AdMech Aemy, I've reached a point where I can consider that the mustering is now completed. It means that I am now entering in the cycle of Blobbing the army: buying more stuff that I do not necesary need but that I need for FOMO. Or, as an excuse anyone can believe, in order to get more options in order to gain flexibility and align new units adversary are not used too. A typical example might be 3 Armingers instead of 1l Styrix Knight... Surprise! Yet I will start with something more humble. A Skitarii Marshal. But this second one wil be kit bashed. So that I have a little bit more of visual variety. Most of the stuff is still taken from the standard Marshal blister. Some weapon swaps, using the multi barel Rad pistol, a spare Axe from my previously kitbashed Engine Seer... Et voilà! With the gun swap, some spare antenas and a head from Serberys riders gives this lad a nice touch of a potential former enlistment. l It is now time to paint this chap. He will march to war along some Secutarii Peltasts I have WIP too. May be the cut servoskull of the Marshal will find any use to personnalize the Alpha Peltats which is a little bit bland. Hi Folks, As a star bearing Marshal never rides alone, he comes down to town with his mobsters. A gang of black trench coated cyborgs fitted to sting you with their dart blasters. The kit bashed Marshal has been painted as per my now standardized paint scheme so that he (it?) fits in the aesthetic of the rest of the army. The Secutarii Peltasts were on my rooster for a while now. I took the opportunity of a big hole in my schedule in order to build and paint them. These lads are one of the few exception to my paint scheme: being bound to Titan Legions and not to the Skitarii armed branch of the Adeptus Mechanicus, I get them with a slightly different colour: Black Trench with red inner liner and metal armour. Not something so new as they are as per my Hoplites previously disclosed. The squad's Alpha has been personnalized usinfg the servoskull clipped from the Marshal set. I indeed felt that I needed something to make him visible as the pointy finger provided with the FW resin upgrade kit found a better use. A Scanner holding Peltast, an option left opened in the Legend Datasheet, is indeed a nice tool in a Peltats unit. See you latter with a next project for AdMech. I still ahve 2 Magos, 3 Serberys, 5 Pteraxii and 5 Stalkers to be painted. So, some work in persperctive.
