I know I won’t for a while, I’m still building up black Templars, but I like the way they look. the spiky and evil looking Chaos Knights have just a better vibe then Imperial Knights and I like their rules better. but I only know how to build semi elite armies (Templars) so when I see the fact you use less models then a Crusader squad is a bit intimidating. do I run big boys or a lot of small boys. And how do I paint them? Is it like chaos marines where their gods matter or is it “paint them any color but make it bloody and dirty” I also see a lot of people mention magnetizing and how would I go about that? I don’t want to have to choose between Cool looking and practicality.

I'm very new to B&C, though I know the general swing of things, and I had a question: I plan to expand the lore and info of the official White Templars space marine chapter, as I find them interesting and we know very little about them, but I'm not sure if I would be able to post such expansion(s) as an Index Astartes post, as that section of B&C is dedicated to homebrew chapters, not official ones. (I would format it very similarly to a homebrew chapter post) So, would that be against the rules/guidelines of Index Astartes? If this is is already answered somewhere else, then I apologize for not finding it.

Hello everyone. So I kind of created this account to pick all of your brains about a question which has been driving me mental. Does anyone remember seeing or even better have a series of portraits of the Primarchs by an artist that has seemingly scrubbed their presence from the face of the Internet? The style was, as best I can describe, somewhere between stained glass and a tarot card. With each of the primarchs in profile shot like the bust of a head on a coin. The backgrounds were thematic, for instance Lorgar's background had the grey flowers of his homework, the Lion's had a forest with eyes of the beasts of Caliban peering through the branches and so on and so forth. I swear I'm not insane, and sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section, but I'd really like to see if I can find it.

Hello everyone, especially those much more experienced with sisters than I. I'm building up a small force of "counts-as" sisters to represent an elite Imperial Army regiment. So far I've gathered that you should go with smaller units unless you go max squad size, but I'm wondering what people would recommend. Due to budget constraints, I'm mostly working with currently owned materials, so the specialist RH1N0s variants are out, though regular RH1N0s would be fine. Currently, I have: 8 sisters with 2 Flamers 8 sisters with 2 meltas 8 celestians with 2 meltas 8 retributors with 4 heavy bolsters 2 Canoness, one power sword one eviscerator 2 dialogus 3 imagifiers 4 RH1N0s 8 death cult assassins 8 arcoflagellants I have bodies to build 10 more infantry, and may be getting 20 more soon. I know a lot of people push for dominions, and I'm not necessarily against that. I'm just wondering what the more experienced would add or change. I have enough parts that pretty much any weapon loadout should not be any problem. Please help :-)

Fortunately it's very easy to remove some water effect once it has set by poking a knife underneath and peeling it off: I don't mind the odd bubble (it looks great when you're going for the tar/oil type look) but I don't want a bubble party like I have here, does anyone know what went wrong so I can avoid it again? I'm sure that one at the least was well dry before I applied any, is it a case of how it is applied or prep for the bottle I need? All tips welcome!

I have some of the old GW lush type grass and want to use this in developing a very grassy basing scheme - not the more patched affair you usually see but rather predominately grass, something you might imagine on a Maiden World. Obviously it can't be 100% grass as that will look weird, I have some 6mm flowers to spread around and can look at little stones and the like for rocks to spice it up - I'm stumped on what goes under the grass. I don't want it to be completely flat or look lazy by going straight on the base, but I can't figure out what will work. I've thought about some modelling sand but it might make the grass appear too high next to the model? Or should I be looking at one of the texture paints? Any help would be appreciated, all the more so with examples and such
