Alrite Kik!

Glad to see that your back to your IH, am impressed with your word bearers though, especially the dread your working on at the moment, great conversion.

NOW WHIP TIME! Where is the librarian... ;) im kidding, i think that the MotF is an excellent distraction for us... for now... hehehe!

Really like the skulpting that you have done on the MotF's helmet, it looks very appropriate for that character. Are we allowed some pre-paint pics of the completed bike?

S.O.N.

Ooh, and bluewolf74727 if you have a look back through the previous pages of this thread there is a tut on p2, but just have a thorough look as i may be wrong!

Thanks for the comments!

@Terminatorinhell

Glad ya like 'em :).

@ben rolls

Trike could be nice, but I'll stick with regural bike :P .

@I AM THE AWESOME

Ode to me, oh my :D .

@Firenze

I checked Vassakovs tracked bike, I was trying to make exactly like his, but how does the bike turn? Maybe older ed. ork bikes had tracked rearside...

@Wraithwing

I actually own a attack bike, but I'll save him for maybe future bike squad, if I have time to do it.

@bluewolf74727

As SoN mentioned my previos black tutorial is somewhere on this thread, but recently I've had thoughts doing all-around Iron Hand tutorial including how to do bionics + painting them. We'll see ;) .

@SoN & TAS

Damn it! I thought that everybody had forgotten librarian!! MotF wasn't as good distraction as I thought :lol: . So I decided to do a little suprise for you guys... mwahahaaa :) .

What suprise? BIG suprise!

It was easier to do body circling flames than circling energy thing. Flames are still WIP though.

Darn it! We ALMOST had you in trouble!! :lol:

Nice work on the Lib Kik, glad to see the Lib model hadn't been sidelined completely in favor of the MotF.

I swear any time i see your minis (WB or IH) it gives me cravings, and i don't like that!! :lol:

Thanks bluewolf74727 and TAS :).

Ah, monday... one of those days, when everything goes wrong :lol: .

God dammit, I was trying go for blue robes again, but it didn't work at all, so tried going white instead. It still doesn't look right. Either my dark blue paint sucks or lower tabard sculpt sucks or both. And why does black shine so much even after badab wash? Rant rant rant, whine whine whine... Bleegh :P

He looks fine to me. Your previous blue robes were fine i think. The only thing that was really needed was a darker blue in the folds (half way between your black and existing blue) and a lighter blue for high lights and ta-da. If you can i still think you should try and work on the blue again. Otherwise, he's looking good :D

Good points there TAS, but the problem was the paint itself, as it from vallejo range, even if I shake properly it still comes with that unnatural gloss, which doesn't go away neither with mixing it GW ranges colors or GW washes. Time to invest on new dark blue :D . Also I painted the psychic flames light blue, so there would have been too much blue on the model. Bluewolf74727, you mentioned the dark red for robes, as it would give really unique look on libbie. But I'll stick with current color as I want the color palette to be "cold" so red would need lot of work not to be "warm" color. (Ok, there's red on the base. Looks better than the previos gray over brown bases.)

Update:

Basecoat for sword and parchments. Oh, question about the base, should I tone it done, or leave it like that?

There's good chance I'll finish this one finally during the weekend. If there's time I'll start doing the all-around Iron Hand tutorial. :)

Cheers for the comments :).

@Cassarus

Before I participate in swedish tournaments, I should participate in finnish tournaments first :lol: . And also my swedish sucks, even after 6-7 years of learning it :P .

@daemonclaw

Yep, glowing eyes are coming. :) (I hope that I did them proberly though...)

@dustermaster

Thanks mate!

@TAS

Thanks man. I hope that the tutorial makes you to do your own Iron Hands force ;) .

Woohoo, librarian finally finished!

gallery_25055_1634_101276.jpg

And the tutorial is coming along nicely, converting part is 80% completed, also I'll be representing 2 ways of painting the black.

@TAS

Who said that I forgot the weapons ;)? Nah kidding, I thought I had spare bolters, but I didn't :lol:.

@Iron Corsair

Thanks, I have you shown you the way of Ferrus Manus, so you can follow the path :P.

I remember someone say that MotFs conversion beamer was too small... hahaaa

gallery_25055_1634_118296.jpg

Should be big enough now!

Suffice to say that Conversion Beamer looks like it's quite capable of shooting out the pain.

Kudos to you on actually increasing the weapon's mass without actually going overboard. Although it looks big now, it doesn't look over-big. Well done :D

@rezeki

Yeah, bigger means better :P .

@Ironblood

Mwahaha :) , should be a sight so see!

@TAS

Thanks TAS, I was already addin' some more to gun, but I'll just do gun mouth and leave it like that.

@Shortsonfire79

Either you overestimate size of my beamer, or you have freakishly small thumb :) . My beamer's lenght is around thumbs height.

Verbal update this time. Started to do the base, the current base, which you can see from previous pic, was too small, so I'm buildin' a new base for him. I ran in to a small problem with MotF and the beamer, if I want to put the beamer in exact center of rear of the bike, MotFs backpack gets in the way. I have already cutted the bike in half and increased its length by adding some sprue between the bike parts, but backpack still gets in the way by little... oh boy.
