Horus Heresy Movie Fictitious

Chow Yun Fat as Khan? That's just lazy thinking. How about we go for a guy who's played Genghis Khan in real life in the film Mongol. Namely this guy;

Anyone who's seen the film will testify that he turned out one hell of a performance.

Also I reckon that Kevin McKidd would make a good Guilliman as long as he played as he played Lucius Vorenus in the early episodes of Rome. I imagine Guilliman to to as rigid, inflexible and humourless as Lucius in these episodes but also like Lucius having just some sort of presence about him that would make people follow him.

Sanguinius: Bradd Pitt

Lion'el: Colin Farrel

Jaghato Khan: Chow yun Fat

Mortarion: Sir Ian Mckellen

Magnus the Red: Russel Crowe

Lorgar: Gerard Butler

Corax: Richard Roxburgh

Konrad Curze: James Purefoy

Alpharius/Omegon: Jason Statham (I was random with this, I remember him in football factory and he seemed mysterious and secretive)

Excellent call on Mortarion! However, I wish people would stop suggesting Jackman as Angron or Russ. He's a poor Wolverine and he'd be a poor Russ/Angron. He can't do berserk believabley.

Christoper Walken might make a good Curze.

Haven't got actors for a lot of them yet, but I do have:

Horus: Laurence Fishburne

Fulgrim: Jason Isaacs

Khan: Chow Yun-Fat

Lion El'Jonson: Brad Pitt

Mortarion: Patrick Stewart

Vulkan: Samuel L Jackson

Rogal Dorn: Liam Neeson

Angron: Jason Statham

Ferrus Manus: Vinnie Jones (does huge, crude and tough very well)

More to come as I think of them!

Hello, by the way, first post and all.

Hello, by the way, first post and all.

I laughed so hard when I saw Samuel L Jackson, I can imagine it now ;)

'Enough is enough! I have had it with these goddamn snakes on this goddamn battle barge!'

Though I like Liam Neeson for Rogal and Vinnie as Ferrus

Now quite tempted by:

Bill Nighy as Mortarion,

Gerard Butler as Russ (based purely on his performance of Leonidas in 300)

Patrick Stewart as Magnus

Jude Law as Sanguinius (don't be too harsh, Sanguinius fans, I know he's a :cuss, I just think he could get the character right)

Christian Bale as Corax

Still need Guilliman, Lorgar, Perturabo, Konrad Curze and Alpharius, but I'm getting there!

Oh, and would Malcolm McDowell be too old for Dorn?

I think Serkis has exactly the right look, and we know he can do the demeanour through acting Gollum in LOTR, dark man indeed. I think Christopher Lee would make a good Mortarion too, except i dont want to be stuck in the LOTR cycle of actors haha..
He's a bit old, but otherwise he'd be brilliant. I'm still going with Bill Nighy though.

Yeah thats why i was reluctant, and yeah he would be good, except i have him typecast as the guy with a dry wit from various british films haha...

I think Jared Leto may make a good Corax too?

The Emperor - Timothy Dalton

El Jonson - Eric Banner

Sanguinius - Orlando Bloom

Guilliman - Stephen Lang

Dorn - Tom Beringer

Vulkan - Djimon Honsou

Corax - Paul Bettany

Khan - Ken Watanabe

Leman Russ - Liev Shreiber

Ferrus Mannus - Jason Statham

Alparius/Omegeon - the Olsen Twins (just kidding, Vin Diesel)

Night Haunter - Bill Nighy

Magnus - William Dafoe

Angron - Vinnie Jones

Fulgrim - Jason Issacs (easy)

Mortarion - Kevin Spacey

Purturabo - Arnie

Horus - Viggio Mortensen

Lorgar - Gabriel Byrne

Malcador - John Hurt

Valdor - Daniel Craig

The complete list at last!

Primarchs

Lion El'Jonson: Brad Pitt

Fulgrim: Jason Isaacs

Perturabo: Gerard Butler

Jaghatai Khan: Chow Yun-Fat

Leman Russ: Liev Schreiber

Rogal Dorn: Malcolm McDowell (I imagine Dorn looking like Tolian Soran - Google him if you're not sure)

Konrad Curze: Andy Serkis

Sanguinius: Jude Law or Toby Stephens

Ferrus Manus: Vinnie Jones or Jeff Bridges

Angron: Jason Statham

Roboute Guilliman: Kevin McKidd

Mortarion: Bill Nighy

Magnus the Red: Hugh Jackman

Horus Lupercal: Laurence Fishburne

Lorgar: Liam Neeson

Vulkan: Michael Dorn

Corax: Hugo Weaving

Alpharius Omegon: Vin Diesel

Marines will be played by the same actor as their Primarch unless they’re specifically described as looking different. All Alpha Legionnaires will be played by Vin Diesel.

Malcador: John Hurt

Kyril Sindermann: Jim Broadbent

Euphrati Keeler: Emily Blunt

Mersadie Oliton: Kerry Washington

NOTE: You may be surprised about my choice for the Emperor. It's stated that the Emperor was born in Anatolia, which is part of Turkey, so I chose a Turkish actor for the role.

EDIT: Removed the actor for the Emperor. It wasn't a great choice.

Your reasoning for a Turkish actor is obvious but he doesn't look much like he would suit the role. Especially with that voice, what a bad mix up. :tu:

Michael Dorn is a good choice for Vulkan i have to admit, why though do people assume the role of Vulkan has to be taken by a man that is coloured? I suppose it helps people relate. :)
