I'm sure you could do way more than a passable job on any minis. I may even end up doing a few checkerboard patterns on some EC like you did on some of your bases. And your freehand skills are just crazy. The work that you put into your TSons!!! Wow.

do it forte go the way of the crazy checkerboard laugh.png and thanx for the comments

funny you should mention the tsons as i have turned back to these guys as i want to increase the warband so here is the start of

the bleeding sun chapter

funnily this shot reminds me of the usual suspects for some reason

Fantastic work again mate, so much detail to each individual marine..makes my eyes hurt looking at them haha

Love the cleanstyle of painting on the imperial marines and the subtle conversions!

This thread has so much talent

Cant wait to see more

And paint more imperials rather than chaos scum haha

chaplain mortis@ not sure imperials is my thing as i was just trying something different

ppotts@ could you please explain what looks rushed and not fitting and maybe i can do something ,as after all they are just really followers and not really meant to blend in to the rest of the force

thanx all DC

Cool, I can't wait to see some paint on rhis resin, as it's a little hard atm to make out all the details.

the eyes on some of the cultists and some of the bands ,in particular the champion with the sword

I'm sure You've noticed miss ppotts, that it is customary within this forum to quote the statement you are referring too/commenting on, otherwise it makes close to no sense.

lolblush.png must stop enlarging pix as it shows up my mistakeswhistlingW.gif but these will be addressedblush.png

ch@oz will hopefully get some paint on soon as i ran out of turquoise and am awaiting some more

in the meantime i decided to have a stab at the empychildren (i blame fortes awesome models for tempting and derailing me laugh.png )

i tried a paler purple and am unsure if the crest looks ok in green or should i go another colour?

this is just a tester at the moment before i tackle the kakophoni

Really like it. I'd say do another highlight on the crest and add some shadows around the details on the shoulders to help them stand out a bit more. The bloody Slaanesh symbol is a nice touch too.

Thanks for the blame too btw. I'm sure the temptation came from somewhere else ;)

Seeing all these threads with airbrush work really makes me want to get one. Better start saving eh.

cheers forte i will try your suggestions

as for the airbrush they are so time saving on the basing of miniatures and you get such a smooth coat to work on i would never go back to painting on the base layers .

and pale colours like creams and whites and yellows can be done in one spray session without having to spend ages building up the layers.

i was unsure at first but after taking the plunge i would highly recommend it ,if you look around you can get some good cheaper deals too.

I've had a go before with a single action gas can job. Definitely quicker on the base coat. But after looking into it more recently I'd end up aiming for the whole zenithal routine. And still getting the brush out.

Do look forward to seeing this mini finished. Been trying to get the motivation back and this has helped loads.

forte @ i too still use the good old paintbrush ,and dont think i will ever be able to airbrush as thin as a paintbrush laugh.png

i searched around ebay and found a little setup for nailpainting of all thingswhistlingW.gif .it had a small compressor and basic airbrush which i find suits me well.

i know others spend a fortune on airbrushes but i am happy with my 20 quid brush .

A while back i started a thread on spacewolves which like most my ideas hit a wall suffice to say i have decided to incorporate said models in this thread.

i have decided to change the black though and go for the baby blue boys wallbash.gif as i wanted to try my hand at paler colours

here is a razorback i put together and has been gathering dust

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN9266_zps4aebad56.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN9267_zps3daab326.jpg

it was an experiment with battle damage
