Captain Malachi
Ripath, we were trying to find a way to actually continue this story, we're well aware that Basavriuk is the current objective, however, with Shunch not here anymore it's a little hard to go get him, don't you think? Hence, hunt for Stanislaus. That is what about half that page was about. Brother Delias
OOC: well... if you want to actively hunt my arc, I could move mine along further to the point that I have actually found ties to the Libram Mortis. though having the planet further infested by nurgle daemons and plague zombies might be very bad for the rather "small" numbers on the planet. I also don't want to completely give everyone all of the details of stanislaus before the time is right ;) its called being theatrical. Back to topic why don't we just have basavriuk mysteriously disappear like shunch did. That way if shunch comes back he can continue with his character, and if he doesn't he can still use him later on in any other RPs or stories. That way if shunch comes back he can continue with his character, and if he doesn't he can still use him later on in any other RPs or stories. Â What if he was never here at all? ripath
OOC got the go ahead from tyrak. Â IC The rain fell lightly as a lone figure walked from the temple towards the readying inquisitorial party. The figure was wearing a black body glove and was moving forward at a slow and even pace. as she approached the inquisitors and retinue she was in plain sight with no cover near her, and the temple was still behind her. Before permission to engage was granted she walked to the leading inquisitor "I need to speak with you about Basavriuk." was all that she said. Inquisitor Fox
Captain Malachi Posted Today, 03:21 PM *OOC* How about we just say Basavriuk escaped off planet and someone makes up a new immediate threat that we all know about (so that we don't go after Basavriuk). That way if Shunch ever does come back he can. Not looking likely right now I know, but it seems the easiest option anyway.  Could we tie that in with the Ork Hulk? Part of Tyrak's rationale for leaving as he did was that the Conclave couldn't spare a ship to follow him without breaking the planetary blockade and losing Basavriuk. Plus, I think someone had a fleet inbound. Under Admiral Dress, I believe?  OOC: That fleets already arrived, its mine and is where Ryas is currently commanding from. (The Battleship) (OOC)  Tyrak is referring to the Cadian fleet under the command of Admiral Drayson (controlled by me) approximately oh, probably 5 days out now or so, which is where Inquisitor Lady Nicole Pyykkönen got down to the planet from, with Inquisitor Crown in tow. The two were going after Basavriuk seperate from the Conclave before the RP kind of exploded in proportion and became significantly different than their original mission objectives. The two and troops are currently holed up in a former local milita cave, investigating traces of heresy and awaiting their writers to figure out how to explain their continued presence with a distinct lack of Basavriuk or daemonic forces... incoming orks are the specialty of neither of the pair. Inquisitor =D=
"I need to speak with you about Basavriuk." was all that she said. {Day 3, 1305 TST- Basavriuk's temple} Â Inquisitor Decklan eyed the woman up and down her bodysuit glistening in the rain. She carried few weapons but Decklan could easily guess that she didn't need them to do harm. He kept his mind open to possibilities around him his eyes glowing slightly in the rain. Satisfied that there was no immediate blood to be spilled he replied, "Speak your mind then. I get the sense its gonna make me sad..." Brother Delias
OOC: well... because my arc is starting to slow down... again... Â IC:{in a town not far to the north} Â Adamus Kain tired of his plight, tired of the rain, he was simply, tired. Wasting away with the sickness that seemed to eat at his very soul, the town doctor had given him a few months to live at most. Now two years later, his faith in the Emperor was secretly starting to fail him. Yesterday, a strangely garbed person had come to his door, the person's face was hidden from Kain's aid. But the stranger had offered a gift to "give salvation" to the town leader. Kain was wary of the gift, something about it put him off greatly. Upon opening it, was a book bound in a quite disturbing leather, on the front of it were three circles, positioned in a triangle. The book itself seemed rather simple, though it carried the scent of dead fungus with it. Despite it's rather plain look, Kain preferred to keep it at arms length. Still, it might have knowledge within it that could help in ridding him with his ailment. Placing a hand on the book, his mind was filled with an immense presence, one so forceful it caused him to retract his hand. Placing his hand back on the book carefully, he began to open it. As the book opened, a warm, yet powerful voice came to him. Â "Do you wish to be free?" It asked, causing him to look around in confusion. "Free of what?" "Free of fear, of the sickness that is killing you." "Who are you?" "Someone that can help you..." "What can you do?" "I can show you how to turn sickness into strength." "And the price for such help?" "Help me bring my gifts to your world." "What must I do?" Â From somewhere deep in the Warp, a darkness smiled. Â ++++++++++ Â Pain shot through his chest. Hannibal knew something was terribly wrong, but couldn't place what. Placing a hand on the wall to steady himself, he looked around at the various Marines and Stormtroopers watching him as he shuddered from the pain. His vision was blurred horribly, ad he could barely make out the chaplin coming to his side to aide him. His old wound had flared up, it was clear to him now as he took stock of the situation. He couldn't place why, but he knew it to be the foul energies that had cursed him with taint. Looking at the chaplin, he started to speak, but the pain tore the air from his lungs, leaving him to rasp incoherently. The Chaplin shook his head. "There is no need Lord, I know the time is drawing close." He said, Standing back once he though the Inquisitor comfortable. "We shall need to hurry, or loose our chance again." Melissia
The guardswoman Captain naturally was left out of any important discussions-- oh no, the Inquisition would never hear what SHE had to say, which was actually probably a good thing, as she'd be so tempted to call them completely [censored] nuts herself. But then perhaps they'd understand and simply laugh. Ah well, her duties, first and foremost, lied with the survivors of the Umara Apocalypse anyway... not with some random shmuck giving her orders which she had no choice to obey. Inquisitor =D=
"Basavriuk was never here. I'm no inquisitor but it would seem that Tyrak led you astray. While your here though you may want to help me on my mission, Stanislaus." Â "I knew this was gonna make me sad..." Decklan sighed heavily holstering his pistols. "Alright then, one thing first though. Captain Taylor!" Decklan watched the surprised guard captain walk over the assembled inquisitors and marines. " Captain, set your troops in a half circle around the temple no more than 50 meters between, starting here and extending west send armored support with each and keep in contact at all times. The orks want this temple so bad they can die in it for all I care." As the captain started spreading orders to the awaiting guard elements he turned to the Space Marine Captain. " Captain Corvinus, I have a mission you might just enjoy. Take some explosives with you and rig the temple to explode at remote command. The orks will rush in like always we detonate the entrance and trap them in a ring of fire from the guard elements. We want to make sure none of them remain so we'll have to torch the place when this is over just to clear out the "spoor". The orks aren't too far off now so we need to get this right and fast." Â The trap would be set and the orks would burn, Decklan was happy with that, and who knows if the assassin had a good story behind her pretty physique he might get to kill some heretics too. The Emperor sure did give him a winding path to walk sometimes, but he knew it was worth it and more. Brother Delias
After gaining his bearings from the near deadly power of the warp shell embedded in his chest, Hannibal looked to the Chaplin. "Now we need help, An entire planet to search for and we only just set the base up." He said, standing up to full height again. "Much as it pains me to do so, we must seek out that Inquisitor that passed by." The Chaplin nodded to Hannibal's statement, not that he much liked the idea of being called a heretic and traitor. "If we must do so, then let us make haste. Judging by your actions, it has activated, and will begin to consume this planet as well." He replied, turning to regard his terminators. On his order, the group began to make their way down to the transports, With only the slight change in orders to board the thunderhawks instead. Hannibal then sought out the Host, letting it know their plans. "So we intend to march to our death in the hope that friend's old comrades are not fools?" It asked, grinning. "The plan is to dissolve a greater threat then any one of us can handle alone." The Inquisitor replied, turning nad heading out to the transport, the Host close behind. Â Two of the Thunderhawks were to be used, with the members of both squads of troopers, The Chaplin and his Entourage, and finally the Inquisitor himself with the Host boarded and ready to fly out. The flight was relatively short, although silence seemed to drown out the roar of the thunderhawk's engines' afterburners. Flying very low to the ground, possibly only a meter or two above the forest canopy, Many could hear the thunderhawks coming well before the two flyers could be seen. The landing sequence was suprisingly short, although slightly harder than usual. As the dust cleared from the combat landings, Inquisitor Decklan, his retinue, and all others of the Inquisitorial forces were greeted by the visage of six terminator armored warriors, four armored red and black, one in black wearing the Death Mask. Although there was no heraldry, each bore a cloth of some kind bearing the inquisitorial emblem, all but one, closely followed by a shambling figure wrought in chains. As the man stepped to tower over the Inquisitorial forces, he looked at each of them in turn. Â "Which here is Inquisitor Decklan, he and I must have words." Shunch
Maybe it’s the last person you would expect.  Before I get into anything, I just want to say how incredibly sorry I am for what has happened. I can fully understand if some of you aren’t ready to forgive me, and I can also understand if I no longer have a place in this role-play. But if you take in nothing else, please at least understand this: I am truly sorry for the unforgivably rude nature in which I handled this subject.  For those of you who are still with me, I should explain. During Winter Break, my family experienced a severe event. I hope you can understand if I don’t go into specifics, but my life had to change to come to terms with what had happened. In order to re-adjust, I needed to drop several things from my life. As much as I love my hobby, Warhammer 40k was one of those things. Unfortunately, my participation on the B&C was one the pieces of baggage that came along with it. I had to take a break from school and slow down my life entirely. Some things needed to be cut out, if only temporarily. With no offense to you all, B&C was one of the things that went out. In the grand scheme of things, something I’ve come to appreciate more as of late, my hobby just wasn’t that important. I know it seems callous, but I was in a bad spot at that time.  Even in light of what happened, nothing can really excuse my lack of courtesy in not even informing any of you that I would be taking a hiatus. If I could go back, I assure you I would not have forgotten all you guys.  A few weeks ago, things had settled down enough that I finally had some time to myself again. Almost by chance, I stumbled back upon the Bolter and Chainsword and remembered. For a few days, I simply haven’t even been able to muster up the courage to face you guys. Know that even now as I type this, my hands are trembling a little. I’m really ashamed about what I have done.  But imagine my surprise when I log onto the Inquisition section and find the RP, third most recently commented on and over 400 posts. Reading it, a genuine smile came to my face when I saw you guys had not abandoned the project in my absence, and forged ahead against nearly insurmountable odds. This makes me even more embarrassed, as it reminds me that this community is worth so much more then I had given it.  I don’t know if I can still really be a member of our story, but I just wanted to let you all know that I’m back, and I will be watching. I’m so proud of you guys, and I needed to get this off my chest.  To say it again, I am truly, genuinely, absolutely sorry. I hope you guys won’t hold it against me, even if I would have. I also hope my words can express the emotion I am feeling.   Penitently Yours, Shunch Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154402-rp-verus-imperator-adventum/page/17/#findComment-1907380 Share on other sites
Grand Master Tyrak
I don’t know if I can still really be a member of our story, but I just wanted to let you all know that I’m back, and I will be watching. I also hope my words can express the emotion I am feeling.  Don't be sorry. Nobody, repeat nobody, can be held responsible for outside events that they have no control over. It could have been any one of us.  It's good to have you back. :P     At least now I don't have to face working out exactly how Tyrak went to the wrong planet, it can all turn into an honest mistake, tinged by heresy in the eyes of the Inquisitors who watched him turn Radical. Yeah right. :)  Reading it, a genuine smile came to my face when I saw you guys had not abandoned the project in my absence, and forged ahead against nearly insurmountable odds.  Nah, we were just having too much fun. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/154402-rp-verus-imperator-adventum/page/17/#findComment-1907450 Share on other sites
