Some of those links you sent were INCREDIBLE.... especially the one with the guy who is making the pre heirsay (sp?) army w/ Russ.... LOL as naive as this sounds but ideally that is what I'm going for, an army where every character is customized/individualized and a great paint job but as I said before seein' as this is my first army.. I doubt I'll come close to that... some of the pics I'm still trying to figure out what parts he used to achieve it. stinkenheim Posted March 26, 2010 Author Share Posted March 26, 2010 ok guys, got really distracted yesterday because some bits arrived from forgeworld... and i played a small guard game, and then the lure of nandos proved too strong so i went out in the evening too so unfortunately i didn't get the two guys finished. instead i got this... http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/DSC01201.jpg http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/DSC01200.jpg now that looks more like an armoured tank to me ;) next time i get paid i'm torn between the pre-heresy land raider kit or adding some land speeders... arrgh too many choices... @ Lord Ragnarok I've been tempted by the Mr.Dandy T-Wolves so i may get one to be a WGBL for smaller or larger point battles than normal... will be a couple of months before i get round to it though. @ Max Dammit next mini i paint up i'll do a mini step by step on the scratches if you want. its pretty simple, i nicked it from an old WD. @ Milmaa thanks dude @ Thalur the dozer blade was the only bit i had tried to weather with the powders partly because i haven't painted any of the metalics, and also because I have an old forgeworld vindi somewhere so if i messed up i could have just nicked the dozer from that. I'm pleased with it, but i may have to get some proper powders, these were just ground up artists pastels and whilst it doesn't show up in the photos some of the flecks are quite large. I mixed up several different coloured pastels to get the desired shade and some of the yellow/ochre left lare lumps... its good enough but maybe some finer dust will be one of my alter purchases when this lot runs out.
