These are some of the best wolves I've seen, let alone converted wolves! I'm a fellow Space Wolf and I'm working up some conversions of my own - I noticed that you're using Scribor shields; what do you think of them? Any good to work with? I'm scared to start posting up my own WIPs now :( That is some brilliant work! Love seeing the older models mixed in with the new, and then ehanced by some superb GS work. Apologies for this armies current state on neglecting but my priorities have been firmly away from the hobby recently. Basically I decide a while ago that I didn't like the person I was so I've been trying to improve the way I feel about myself by getting in shape. It's worked pretty well, I've done 5 stone in a year and I'm now preparing for my first half marathon in early September. On top of that I've moved house so money is a bit tight meaning that I haven't been able to purchase random pieces, also haven't had as much spare time as I would have liked to work on these guys. Fingers crossed that now things are settling down I should be able to start working on then again. The scibor shields seem pretty nice, the resin is pretty solid and I've only had one with an airbubble so good qc too. Biggest issue is that they are quite firmly attached to the sprue and if your not careful with the trimming I can see a slip leaving part of the shield behind. They fit well though, very nice sizes. Anyhow, I'm going to try and get some bits finished over the next week but it's going to be very patchy with pictorial updates because my computer is dead and the only way I can get online us with my phone (hence why I've nit been posting anywhere lately- still been lurking in the fang though). Lack of funds emans that despite me wanting a pre-heresy land raider for my army I was never going to get round to saving for the FW one so I am in the process of busting out the plasticard to convert my own. It also gives me the practice I think Im going to need when it comes to turning my Land Speeder Storm into a Typhoon (and for finishing off my poor, neglected venerable dread). Only a small update but one sponson is almost finished now. Looks great :P, and I always love the idea of "aging" our tanks and what-not (Older-style, even DIY type extra armour modding and the like), and then battering them up a bit. I've been assembling my grey hunters, and after much bits buying (including the odd forgeworld piece) I'm finally at the point where the 3 squads are fully assembled. Green stuffing will commence soon so they should be further indivdualised once thats finished. Then painting should commence. I'm going to do a squad at a time so hopefully the first squad will receive their first few layers by the end of next week. The assault cannons aren't glued in place (it's why the look wonky) but they will be able to pivot. The top plate needs a lot of detailing and the smoke stacks on the back will be started once I have purchased a mitre box (and some more plastic tubing). I mixed up a huge batch when I started these models a few years ago and haven't needed to mix any since (because I'm ridiculously slow at painting). I did notice that Tamiya have a colour very similar to it though, so I might try and get hold of some to see what it's like. Thanks for the compliments though. Always appreciated. The work on that landraider is REALLY inspirational and is making me want to paint and model my SW's and I can't at the moment.
