@ Lord Ragnarok, sorry about that. I'll try my best to be as uninspiring as possible in future...

Well here's the predator. Just finished the weathering on it so the pigments will change colour slightly once the glue has dried out.

Well I supose it's time I started finialisng the details on my TDA Wolf Guard bodyguard... on the plus side I already have one painted so it's only 3 models... should take me about a year lol.

@ Wulfenbane- I did not drill the exhaust pipes. Never have done and never thought about doing until now lol.

@ -Volsung- I used this vid as a guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx1e6ooh8PA...re=results_main

I may have lied when I said I'd add pics of painted wolf guard (I got bored with green stuffing bits so I've left them to dry) but I did finish my rune Priest (excluding base which I have got a plan for).

Was very pleased with the face and the bit of glow around the gem on the skull. He has the Great Wolf's symbol on his shoulder (as all priests are from the Great Wolf's 'company') but he does have my great company's symbol on his knee although the cloak hides it a bit.

Let me know what you guys think.

Where's the bird from?

I think it's from the old Chaos Nurgle Lord on Daemonic Steed, there was a signpost with a raven on it... I know I had to greenstuff the feet so it was probably from where I snipped it off of that. Sorry I'm a bit vague it was something I'd had in my bits box for ages and I converted this guy a while ago.

I will post better pictures once I've sorted out the snow storm effect on his base...

Otherwise, thanks to everyone for the kind words

Time for another update guys. No painting this time round but I have been working on another character. This is the first shot of my Wolf Priest, the cloak is only half done (and the GS isn't dry hence the glare).

As always let me know what you think.

it be a lovely re-model, jw. what head have you used?

Looks like it might be Logan Grimnar's...

Top model you got there Stinkinheim. Kudos.

It's the old OOP Long Fang sergeant with his beard shaved off. You can tell by the ocular device and the signature 3 claw marks on his scalp.

@ Token- I just use one of my sculpting tools for the runes. I find that with some of the GW ones they are quite blunt so I've filed them down a dit to make them sharper, it means the end is slightlty thinner allowing me to do the runes quite nicely. I don't see why a blunt modelling knife wouldn't work just as well, the sharper the impliment the thinner the line will be so you need a happy medium between thin enough that it looks good and wide enough that it won't be obscured by paint.

As for the plasticard I just bent that around the end of a paint brush. It springs back a bit so you need to make the bend tighter than you want it. It's also helped by the fact that the armour has a trim on it which holds it in place quite well.

@Lord Ragnarok It might sit slightly higher than usual, plus with the gorget it elongates the neck area a bit. I'll admit it doesn't sit quite how I wanted it but I'm not going to mess about with it now lol.

@ Brother Mjollner I feel the same mix of emotions when I look at people like Blackadder and his wonderous scratch building projects... I'm fairly certain there isn't a court in the land that would convict someone for a crime commited out of envy and frustration. Especially when we can show them our attempts at replicating some of the models people have made 'But how can they do it!?!' has to be a bulletproof motive.

@ Russ Brother 92, Wulfebane & Olisredan It is indeed the head from the old metal long fang pack leader. Good shout.

@Maverik Cheers dude. rying to get my act together on these guys because I'm too poor to buy new models I figure I should then finish the ones I have... besides when they are painted I could sell them for a butt load on ebay :)

Bit of a pic heavy one this but bear with me.

I finsihed the wolf cloak (including sculpting the wolf head, very pleased with how this turned out even if it is slightly too small and the ears a bit too long)

The backpack with a little bit of scultping work done just to break up the (soon to be) black areas.

These are the legs of the Wolf Guard PAck Leader for my Swiftclaws. All my PA WG have the old metal dev/long fang legs with extra armour plates around the bottom so I thought the biker would need the same. Still WIP but not a bad start.

Some (hopefully) better shots of my RP including the snow storm effect on his base. I've lost my static grass/clump foliage so I can't complete it yet but I made the blizzard bit using some scenic snow, glue and coke can to hold the shape while it dried. It's a bit comic book/anime in feel but I wanted the RP to look like he was generating the storm, the focus being the staff. Let me know what you guys think (the little bit on the front of the rock I'm not convinced by so may take off).

Oh man, the terminator wolf guard with the teeth gorget and the two axe WG :P

The Rune Priest continue to impress. I've been lazy with my converting since they released our bits in 2009. You are making me want to go beyond using what comes in the box. (not that I am anywhere near as good).
