(OOC) Verus Imperator Adventum

Inquisitor =D=

Recommended Posts

As per general request this is the Out of Character discussion on the Roleplay storyline of the same name. If you have questions about the RP or recent events in it this is the place. If you have comments or just want to compliment us on our work this is the place. However this is not the place to insult or argue and you know what the B&C probably feels that way too. So please be polite to everybody here so we can keep this constructive.

While this may be an OOC discussion lets try and keep in on topic as best we can. (or you get one of these > :P )

And without further adue, Discuss!

Oh and for Shunch's return I think we should try and fill him in while we're at it. :P

As for storyline starting from when Shunch left us.

-An Ork pirate fleet with hologram technologies invades system, fleet is drawn up and reinforcements ordered.

- Tyrak orders evacuation of all non-essential personnel from Firebird rising and moves his own things to new flagship.

- Tyrak promotes Hayes to Inquisitor and gives him command of the Firebird.

- Assembled inquisitors meet at landing site and begin to "fortify" it against orkishness.

- Guardian of the Covenant marine group tread through jungle and destroy jamming beacon before being forced to retreat when an inquisitor orders general orbital barrage into jungle.

- Tyrak attempts to kill Hayes in the destruction of the Firebird. Hayes missed his appointment and thus escaped destruction but with minimal supplies. Tyrak then leaves the system fleet in tow.

- Ryas is voted to lead conclave from orbit and organize fleet actions, Decklan is given command of ground forces and spearhead to kill Basavriuk who is believed to be in large temple structure found in jungle near former jamming beacon.

- On route to temple (riding in the thunderhawk) an armored group is caught on the auspex(Inquisitor Hannibal's group). Talks fail to reveal anything other than an Astartes group is under inquisitorial orders in the jungle.

- Decklan's spearhead reaches temple complex and meets up with Imperial guard Captain Taylor.

- Its revealed that Basavriuk may not be there at all by an assassin(ripath's), Decklan reorganizes guard elements to ambush the orks who will reach the temple complex soon. (post 421, Page 17)

- Renegade Inquisitor Draken informs the Conclave of the presence of a daemon book with the ability to warp the whole planet if it isn't stopped and soon.

There's a LOT that I'm missing here but this is the part I remember... I will update as you all inform me.

Like I said before... it would probably help if either one or both of these (the OOC and RP) were stickied... while there are enough of us that actually use it that i doubt it would go very far from the first page, If we do one more than the other, the thread less wrote on might get bogged down far enough that it'd be difficult to locate again.
All Levinski saw was you turning towards your transport ;)

Oh I know.... It's kinda like the whole deal of no one actually thought about the 4 twin heavy bolters trained on various targets from both the transport and gunship.... but they are indeed there... which will probably come in handy against the Rok full of Orks coming our way :tu:

Thanks a bunch for taking the initiative and doing this Inquisitor =D=. You saved me a whole lot of hair-pulling and whatnot. I hope you gave an accurate synopsis, because I'm using that as my base from here on in. I'm never going back to the dark bowels of that other thread ever again, oh no. **huddles in a corner and caresses his arm whilst muttering under his breath**.

Anyways, I'm not planning on participating in the remainder of the current thread. If and when a new chapter is started (I think we should convene on this thread and discuss), I'll begin anew. I think Basavriuk would be very interested in attempting to recruit this newer, sexier version of Tyrak (he did go radical, right?) - it doesn't matter though, as this is all for a later time.

In fact, while we're here, we should discuss other things too, like how to formalize the time system. I'll get the ball rolling....

396.M41 (I put this in because there's no reason the story can't have a multi-year interlude. Note the actual year is random and open to discussion)

Day [x]

[xxxx] Hours

[Location] (being as specific as possible. if you find a new location, you get the honor of naming it)

Other ideas? Criticism?

Assuming we all accept to start a new chapter of the story, we'll get all the new ideas and a shiny new synopsis together, you lot can settle the original thread in a suitably climactic way at your own convenience, and someone can get the new thread rolling. Once again though, this is all for a later time.

I apologize if I seem all brisk and domineering (reading over this, that's what it feels like). I'm just really anxious to get back into the story. I'm surprised how much I missed doing this.

Sure, I'm up for a new chapter, although Captain Taylor is going to be pushing hard for her guard platoon to gain R&R after this. most of the twenty six survivors (25 + Taylor) have been fighting for 7 years straight. first against a wave of chaos cultists, then against an Ork WAAAGH!, then against chaos rebels and their Traitor Marine masters, then against an incoming Tyranid swarm.

If they get the reprieve from fighting they want, I'll just make a new character, which I'm certainly glad to do.

Day 5 really? A lots happened but I've been trying to keep the time accurate and I was still on day 3. lol...

Well, I did that to explain how Tyrak's fleet could have left and Inquisitor Ryas' fleet arrived without there being either a major battle or major traffic accident at the system jump point.

I

think Basavriuk would be very interested in attempting to recruit this newer, sexier version of Tyrak (he did go radical, right?)

He did, but there are some caveats to that. His self-justification stems from the fact that he is not breaking his oaths to the Ordo Malleus - he's still hunting Daemons, not using them. That blinds him to the fact that he has betrayed his oaths to the wider Imperium (and also why he's been declared Excommunicate Traitoris and not Diabolus). Since Tyrak's still anti-daemon, linking up with Basavriuk is a no-no. Besides, he's got enough on his plate at his rendezvous point with the rest of his fleet - the Imperial Navy and the Exorcists Chapter are heading to intercept.

I think starting a new chapter is a necessary development at this point :whistling:

Shunch, I need to PM communicate with you on a few details of the militant cultists from the initial landing that Inquisitor Pyykkönen and Inquisitor Crown have discovered and are currently investigating... it'd make a nice first post for a new chapter for us. So watch your mailbox for development

Inquisitors Pyykkönen and Crown are one to two days hike northwest of the initial landing site upon Maeroc IV, in a limestone cave complex/fort formerly occupied by rebel militants, the same branch who had attacked the initial Conclave landing party upon the planet. They have several rebels to psychically interrogate, as well as a small arms catch, mostly las weapons. They have sustained some losses, but Nicole still possesses her retinue (Kenneth, William, Sister Helena, Bosco the cyber-mastiff and one servo skull), as well as 18 Stormtroopers (4 of which are wounded).

There is also Inquisitor Gabriel Crown and Sergeant Dyna Polarion present in the limestone caves.

The last timestamped posting for them was late day 2/early day 3 when the information about Tyrak's activities and the Orks were going over various comm channels.

Admiral Drayson is inbound with the small fleet that Inquisitor Pyykkönen arrived and was inserted from. They should be arriving probably around day 7 to 9 IC'ly to help secure the system. The "Fleet" currently numbers about 4 to 6 cruisers and a handful of escorts. Notable forces aboard include the Cadian 84th Shock Trooper regiment (with varied attached forces), a couple of squads of Blood Ravens Space Marines, some Sisters of the Order of the Sacred Rose, and one squad of Grey Knight terminators. These forces are veterans of the last summer campaign on route to their various destinations that were together when Nicole borrowed the Mars-class Battlecruiser Cavalier to help track down Basavriuk.

lets see... three thunderhawks, a bunch of Inquisitors and co., a slew of guardsmen(and woman), a total of a (very) small task force of marines, a few tanks of an armored company, and on very irate daemonshost vs. coutless amounts of orks.... sounds like good odds to me! B)
