(OOC) Verus Imperator Adventum

Inquisitor =D=

Recommended Posts

No it's not, they've been all over in the debate thread as well as the first half of chapter 1 ;) Writing characters is easy, the gender of the character makes no difference. Of course, I'm a veteran old hat RPer from over 20 years of experience with RPGs and everything else.. writing fiction is as easy or easier because you have more time to work with.

If you're curious re-read chapter 1 from the beginning.. Nicole is all over up until about page 12.

Edit: Ha, I love being right. Last post in chapter 1 from me was page 13 <_<

Oh, no worries then <_<

Yeah, it's a lot of fun getting back into Nicole's head.. it's such a dark ruthless place to be. I always joked around she was like a prettier version of Darth Vader.

Now it's just going back over really old posts and PMs to figure out what would show up in a psychic interrogation of redshirts ;)

Great post, Nicole. You're a snazzy writer.

Anyways, I was just considering making another post, and I found I was at loss of where to start. You see, I haven't even noticed it, but I've basically been talking to myself for the entirety of the role-play. Until there's some kind of confrontation, Basavriuk is essentially playing lone wolf, and it makes plot development a bit forced and mechanical for me.

For those of you who aren't picking up on the vibe, I need a friend ;) . That is to say, Basavriuk needs an ally of sorts in the story, someone he can collaborate with. Does it need to be another Inquisitor? No, but I'm basically throwing out a call to anyone who's up for joining the RP and playing a bad guy. I guess not many people aside from those who already have a role in the story read this thread, but I figured it was worth a shot.

Wallowing in my own loneliness,

Shunch

PS - I feel genuinely disturbed at using the word 'snazzy' over the internet.

Try doing a couple of posts that explore a bit more of Basavriuk's character. I did quite a few of those when Tyrak was still around, and have ended up pasting them wholesale into my fluff document. It can be just minor things, like what does he read, what does he do when he has some time alone etc. It really does help give your character some depth, both to us as readers, and to you as the creator. You can use some of my posts for Tyrak as a template if you like.

it's all good shunch, right now, Draken is kinda playuing both sides at this point. It doesn't matter who helps him, as long as his purpose here sees completion.

Also, don't mind my lurking for the moment, got alot of stuff on my mind right now, particularly in RPing right now. It really doesn't help that I've basically put this character into a position to do nothing until something happens.

Hey Shunch, you could always try a little bit of trying to corrupt the loyalists :Elite: A little dream invasion here,

That's a problem, since the only one whose had any sleep so far is Hayes, back on Day 1. :D

Actually, I figured we'd all just been doing it between our IC posts. I know that's what Levinski's been doing at any rate, just didn't think it important enough to post.

I've been doing the same really. Lol... Well cept for when Decklan was in his "Trance". Lol...

If I get some more time to post I'll see about making you an evil companion Shunch. :D (I can be pretty twisted too)

I'm worried that we've all forgotten this is an investigation, anyone who wants to play it like an investigation and not a war should let my character know somehow so we can go off separately.

I'll stick my hand up for that, Hayes has already had to scrounge for ammunition following the Firebird's destruction. For a start it'll give me something to do . . .

*throws apples at the Nicole living in my head* Yes yes, gloat with your seeming foresight, silly Inquisitor... see if I let you come out and write, ha!

Edit- Tyrak, until my next post I'll be simply sitting around waiting for my pilot, so if Hayes wants to come and talk to Levinski now would be a good time ;)

OK. I'm sure we can find something to do, like comparing notes, or hurling yet more abuse at my Astropath. :)

I don't know who wrote the post where my Astropath vomits at the sight of blood, I think it might've been Melissia, but that just hit the nail on the head - it's gone straight into the fluff. I now have a perfect excuse as to why Tyrak was so happy to give up one of his Astropaths when he made Hayes an Inquisitor. :tu:

Does anyone else have no idea what Nicky's talking about? :tu:

In the very first IC post of the RP with Nicole, she talked about pursuing Basavriuk outside of the Conclave as she didn't want them messing up the works for her and working independantly and coming from an unknown direction. Similar to the principle of "too many cooks."

She's gloating in my head now.. it's very disconcerting.

count me in, it will be a nice change of pace

I'm in for the whole investigation-deal thingy.

Here's what I'll do:

Basavriuk will, very shortly, uncover the last thing he needs for his "master plan". Upon getting it, he is going to leave Maeroc entirely. From there, you will be able to quit the planet as soon as the orks allow, and we can re-establish the whole "hunting for witches" routine.

Also, I'm very much into how a lot of people are just quitting the Conclave entirely, as other Inquisitors are getting in their way. Divide and conquer from my perspective

Awwwwwww so your all going to really be nice and kind and let Stanislaus have his way with the planet? Also I would like to point out that the locals have kind of already been turned by chaos. Sorry for not checking in on this lately either had some friends come in from out of town and they hadn't seen me since I was about two feet shorter.

Ryas your astropath should be picking up stanislauses shield too. Or is my Inquisitor sitting on some kind of node or layline?

well damn, I'd forgotten about Stanislaus completely (no offense :D). Hmm.

Well, what are his motivations?

I say that because maybe, depending on what he's after, he could gather up his followers and pursue the Conclave, hunting the hunters.

Also - no shame for missing out on the RP for a little while. After all, I'm the king of that.

Hell the second Basavriuk abandons the planet (and we know it) i'm Exterminatusing the dirty ball. Its covered in Chaos Worshippers and Orks, we'll stay long enough to withdraw the Imperial Guard and then I'm destroying that rock. (As said earlier.)

EDIT: Notes.

On the Warp Activity.

To my mind the moving one represents the Nurgle Artifacts, the six equidistant ones represent the sites Basavriuk had to/has to visit in order to do whatever it is he's doing. (Shunch, if you could PM me the rough details, as Moderator for this I don't want to write something drastically wrong.) The six sites are also what finalises my Order to Exterminatus the planet.

The orks aren't actually confined (as you probably already expected) but are currently tied up by the Dead Orks being raised by the Nurgle Artifacts curse.

I am sure Draken would be much appreciative to know the location of the "moving target" as it were, but, as Decklan is the only one with access to his base and ship frequencies, methinks getting that information would be a tad difficult as of now... not to mention Ryas probably does not know of Draken's presence on the planet yet.
Well... your more than welcome to ask Decklan. Funny thing about projecting yourself, no matter how careful you are another psyker could still see you if they were looking. Hmm... forgot to ask Shunch about any defenses in the temple itself... Oh wait!! I've got a better idea. Now I can be as twisted as I want. :P This is gonna be fun.
