I'm gunna toss in a vote for the gritty marines, it fits the we've been wageing unceasing war for the last 200 years feel of a pre-heresy great crusade army. The only thing that your army is missing is an actual Dorn model, may I suggest: this model based of this artwork from the Heresy Art books: The mini is found from eBay seller, the models available week to week vary, but are in some type of rotation. If you'd like a scale shot check out my Thousand Sons WIP, as it has a Magnus of the same scale. The Marines will be dirtier once I have weathered them. I plan to paint this rhino first, finish the rest of the squad (Bolters should be arriving soon) and then start to weather them. I have made some progress on the Rhino over the past few days. Only downside is your amazing dorn is not very fluffy.. He has always been described with boltlike weapon and a sword.. Beside..those old rhino resin parts you showed? Where can I find? Its Burnt Umber oil paint mixed with some rust pigment and a bit of scorched brown and chaos black thinned with white spirit. Done a little work today with the airbrush. Its very work in progress. Certainly one of the most fun models that I've painted. I shall certainly be getting another kit.
