bevulf
I thought that I will finish the Azrael' Command Squad first but after looking at the roaring Ravenwing from the box cover I couldn't resist the temptation of painting some bikes :D I had to postpone the command squad in favour of the marines from the 2nd company, so here they are: hope you like them ! exsulis81
WOW :D those look fantastic!!!! Â My only comment is on the rear tail pipes, IRL you tend to get more of a bronzing on the tips. Cactus
The subtlety of your highlighting is amazing. Great work. Are those Forge World bases? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177316-dark-angels-strikeforce/page/7/#findComment-2786852 Share on other sites
bevulf
Thank you guys for your kind comments. Â I did the bases myself from the cork, sand and some plastic parts that I drilled to look like some old pipes showing from the rubble. Gillyfish
Very nice indeed - positioning of the purity seals helps ad to the sense of movement, although the one on the sergeant's banner pole could have been angled to match the one lower down. Â That's just nit-picking though - these are very good indeed. MRCHAOS
These are simply the best Dark Angels I have ever seen! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177316-dark-angels-strikeforce/page/7/#findComment-2787191 Share on other sites
Gillyfish
:) You could indeed, but it really isn't worth the effort and it doesn't massively detract from the excellent models. Â I do like the rich reds you have for the inner robe on the sergeant, by the way. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177316-dark-angels-strikeforce/page/7/#findComment-2787228 Share on other sites
Rod Hull
These are all really nicely done. If you don't mind my asking, how do you do the black on your Ravenwing ? They're very crisp looking. reckoning
Some of the best models Ive ever seen. I hope to one day be half as good at painting as you are. Keep up the amazing work. bevulf
Thank you guys :o  the black is rather simple:  1. Chaos Black Undercoat 2. Chaos Black + Astronomicon Grey ( 1 : 0,25) - just a little drop of astronomicon grey - you need to achieve a lighter shade of black - if you add too much you will end up with a model looking greyish :) 3. Chaos black + Astronomicon Grey (1:1) - first highlight 4. Astronomicon Grey as second Highlight 5. Wash model with Badab Black 6. Repeat 2nd highlight with Astronomicon grey  that's all :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177316-dark-angels-strikeforce/page/7/#findComment-2795243 Share on other sites

Isiah
The Ravenwing is looking epic. Great colour for the armour plate and bikes and dirty too :tu:. I like the bases. bevulf
Hi guys, just another picture of my ravenwing: Now I am working on the finecast company master and he should be ready in a few days. I have also bought recently some of the latest space hulk termies which I'll be converting (chop chop chop ^_^) onto the Deathwing in the future ! Brother-Captain Sharp
Wow! Dark Angels are really getting some painting love right now. I go to the Hall of Honor, and a lot of times it's "yeah, I can see what they were trying to do" or "meh, pretty good." Every time I click on a Dark Angels WIP, it's "Wow! That's awesome!" it seems. :D Â Incredible Ravenwing! Pavement Artist
Bevulf, your work is simply staggering. I habitually find myself wandering on to chaps like you and ODM's threads just so i can feel the wave of inadequacy slap me in the face. Â Excellent work mate.
