I thought that I will finish the Azrael' Command Squad first but after looking at the roaring Ravenwing from the box cover I couldn't resist the temptation of painting some bikes :D

I had to postpone the command squad in favour of the marines from the 2nd company, so here they are:

Thank you guys for your kind comments.

I did the bases myself from the cork, sand and some plastic parts that I drilled to look like some old pipes showing from the rubble.

Very nice indeed - positioning of the purity seals helps ad to the sense of movement, although the one on the sergeant's banner pole could have been angled to match the one lower down.

That's just nit-picking though - these are very good indeed.

The one on the banner pole was already on it:

I could of course remove it and glue with different angle but decided to leave it.

:) You could indeed, but it really isn't worth the effort and it doesn't massively detract from the excellent models.

I do like the rich reds you have for the inner robe on the sergeant, by the way. :)

Thank you guys :o

the black is rather simple:

1. Chaos Black Undercoat

2. Chaos Black + Astronomicon Grey ( 1 : 0,25) - just a little drop of astronomicon grey - you need to achieve a lighter shade of black - if you add too much you will end up with a model looking greyish :)

3. Chaos black + Astronomicon Grey (1:1) - first highlight

4. Astronomicon Grey as second Highlight

5. Wash model with Badab Black

6. Repeat 2nd highlight with Astronomicon grey

that's all :)

now you know what to expect next <_<

and my 2 cents about the finecast Company master - the level of detail is amazing ! Even the bare head which I never liked looks great. Definite buy for all the Unforgiven. Can't wait now for the resin Sammael.

The Ravenwing is looking epic. Great colour for the armour plate and bikes and dirty too :tu:. I like the bases.

Hi guys, just another picture of my ravenwing:

Now I am working on the finecast company master and he should be ready in a few days. I have also bought recently some of the latest space hulk termies which I'll be converting (chop chop chop ^_^) onto the Deathwing in the future !

Wow! Dark Angels are really getting some painting love right now. I go to the Hall of Honor, and a lot of times it's "yeah, I can see what they were trying to do" or "meh, pretty good." Every time I click on a Dark Angels WIP, it's "Wow! That's awesome!" it seems. :D

Incredible Ravenwing!

Fantastic work on that Master, Master Bevulf :)

I can't wait to see your DW, probably blow my mind though.

Do you photoshop the black background in your photos or use some sort of blacker than black cloth?

Wicked stuff mate
