Celtic, eh?

Not a fan of the shield blinders, but the halberd does look like a power weapon...

Scibor is well known to sculpt GW stuff, but he name the sculpts to something else so he wont get the lawyers after him for copyright infringement.

this is Saul Remis' Space Wolves Great Wolf and it took the Forge World Best of Show award at Games Day France 2006.

check it out at http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/bosfra06.htm

Yeah, I've seen that one before. What was the base model used for that wolf? Scratch-build?

it was based on a juggernaught from daemons not the new ones obviously as it is 4 years old!

In response to that juggy wolf, here are some that were recently made by PLeasuredome that I really liked. They use the contemporary juggernaut models and have inspired me to do the same for my 13th co. T-wolves:

You can see some tourney pics and the like on this thread

I feel that using juggernauts is actually strangely fitting in its own way, and could easily portray really bionic'd up Thunderwolves without stretching it too much. I do however have one big problem with using juggers as my Thunderwolves: They're damn expensive too!

Yeah, but 20 bucks less than Canis =) (or abouts). I see them as a useful model for 13th co., because they have no qualms about using chaos tech (stuck in the warp will do that) and making their own. I think if we get a TWC model it will be about the same price as the juggies - same size and whatnot.

could be just me, but the smooth hindquarters seems out of place with the crazy fluffy mane and the busy tail. The model overall looks good. GS work looks great, but I think the empty area could use some GS work even if only a light coating of fur.

Right, my russian ebay wolves arrive over the weekend. They look freakin' awesome, only thing is they have 1 pose, so I'm thinking of repositioning two of them slightly with GS. My other wolf (also from ebay) hasn't turned up yet.

I already did the basic conversion for my Wolf Lord TWM tonight, shame I've already lost one set of legs tho . . . :P

I'll be using a pack of hunting hounds with the huntsmen in tow. They'll be a mix of the plastic Goblin wolves and Dire Wolves as the exposed bone is perfect to show that most of them are bio-mech monstrosities. Some will have 2 heads aswell. In order for the Marines to keep up with their charges they will wear jump packs (I've finally found a use for those sucky Skyclaws) and be armed with what the actual Marine is equipped with.

Something like this? http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_fxjUg4AnZnw/S2D5aBAgSiI/AAAAAAAAAU8/g1YKCywTrcU/s1600/DSCN3113.JPG

Its a concept piece, but I like it so far.

Very nice, this one. Is it dire wolves with GS-fur? 'Cause I might do this for my fen wolves...

I noticed the link is dead now, expired on the 26th. No repost yet of the store sell of them. A shame I would have liked to order some within the month. Anyone know the link let me know.
