All Terminator Space Wolf Guard

Recommended Posts

Space Wolves, apparently the 41 millennium's equal opportunity employer. Never have seen any Smurf, DA, BA, or other chapters with converted female marines. Always Wolves, though.

Looks like a good start there from what I can make out in the photos. Some closer/clearer pics would be great for the update. Interested in seeing the finished product as you're going for more in-depth and detailed work than just a pair of gs'd boobs.

While I enjoy the fluff of 40k, its no fun getting too wrapped up in it to play your army. If you want some wild half-naked chicks running around in TDA, go for it. Half the hobby is playing an army you enjoy (rules-wise and visually), so give the hand to all the trash talkers and do what you want. Just be careful with the WYSIWYG rule.

I wouldn't go for Logan's counter-part with a beard... to many LoTR dwarf chick jokes. Also opens up the critics to hit you with accusations of more than just manga fantasies. :P

Keep up the good work.

Hahaha! See, I did it because they were going to be terminators (so I could get 800pts as quick and painlessly as possible). So it was actually a coin toss between them and Dark Angels.

Maybe I'll make a first company army of girls for every major chapter. :D

Yeah, probably not. Maybe one DA girl? She would have to have pink hair (As it's a natural compliment to DA green, hmm DA with pink power weapons would look sweet! :D) lol again. Just spit balling.

Heck ´the more the better! And I will agree that the shield remains are a little creepy, and not really practical since a shields function is to absorb hits, so if her remains are strapped ot the front they'd rather quickly be obliderated.

Yes that's true. But my reasoning is that if the storm shield makes a force field, and the dead girl is wearing a crux still (Like as a necklace) than it would probably protect her remains in a "I'm leaping to conclusions about forcefields" kind of way. :D

Man I wanna see the models, did you sculpt the heads? If only it was a bit clearer. Well, I would give you the one I am making but she is a bit non spacewolfy and more Crimson Guardian like.

Yeah, all the heads I skuplted. A few of them to be honest are stamps of sisters heads that I sculpted for sisters. But i couldn't waste the head for a straight transfer so I did a stamp.

I currently have 8 completed. And the wolf priest is getting very close to a place where I will just call her done. She needs the rest of her hair, hands her wolf pelts and teeth and her stave.

I'm just hoping for the camera this weekend. :)

(I must be really bored or something to keep posting responses :))

Well I was able to strong arm a camera from someone on campus. So it took some finiking and fiddling. BUT...

I have some "real" pics of the Woof Grrlz. And Even some pics of some WIP Paintjobs.

I will present these to you in order of their production. Since earlier woof girls are a little stranger than the newest ones, but again the newest 2 (one of which i didn't take pics of) are in progress.

You may also notice that they have no arms, they are STILL In the mail. >:D

Ok Here's the first wolf gaurd I made her in a night (no joke) and painted her the next morning. This was right after I announced that I was making these. (Total production time currently is only about 2 weeks)

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/prototype.jpg

Her paint job was a lot rushed, and It wasn't the final one that I'm working twords which will be a lot lighter. But I liked how she came out. (At least as a rough draft of the first armor style)

This next one is the prototype of the second armour style, the kind without the front chest plate. Which may seem like senseless indulgence of my sculpting foray. BUT Because I am using some Black Reach Termoiz I couldn't effectively save the front armor plate and be able to remove the helmet (Since they are all one big piece)

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/prototype2.jpg

Her proportions are stretching it a bit, and her hair is a bit too "I comb this everyday" for a space barbarian but, It worked out nicely. I also like her eyepatch.

The proportions are also hard to visualize because they are made in 2 parts top to the waist and then bottom from the legs down. So I'm just going for broke and then trying to correct it once it's

together. Secondly your mind wants to try to make the proportions for someone who looks "the size of terminator armor." It's hard to explain but the armor is so big, you just want to make everything seem flush and huge with the plates.

This next one is the third one I did, and I spared no expense and making a third armor variant. Originally she was going to be sitting higher in the armor with her shoulders level with the shoulder joints and her neck and head would be straight up instead of hunched over. So I cut the top of the terminator off at an angle. Then it did NOT work out. So I bent her forward in a solem air sniffing sort of pose (I guess). And covered the massive blunder with...

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/wolfgirl1.jpg

... a wolf head.

This one is actually the 5th one I produced, but number 4 turned out SO well that I decided to try to paint her as my first attempt at painting these beasts.

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/wolfgirl4.jpg

I like the style of her hair, but it's not nearly manic enough yet.

Of the two Models I have undercoated so far, this is the one that I didn't get very far painting. You can still see the sculpting work I did on the head and the legs. But this is like the prewash stage of painting lol.

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/wolfgirl3.jpg

This is the newest girl which I started today. She needs some filling down in some places and some sweet loincloths or furs or something. But it's the second armor variant again.

I'm actually making my old Space Shark termininators into these girls. So the ones with the full chest plates are those ones. Since I could more easily remove the head and such from the real terminator models.

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/wolfgirl2.jpg

And last but not least. My Runepriestess (Not calling her a wolf0mancer anymore )

Since she's not technically in terminator armor.... I had to do a lot more work on her. Like from the ground up.

She's still missing her hands and staff (Sold separately). And her body still needs more wolf things and some fine details. And finished hair. But I think she's come out well in the last 2 weeks that I've been working on her. ;)

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/runepriestess1.jpg

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/wolfpriestess2.jpg

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/wolfpriestess3.jpg

I'm going to build her fur cowl area up when her hair gets done, maybe even a wolf head? Maybe!

This last terminator girl is the one I've been painting up, and boy am I rusty. I'm trying to build up Real Light Source (Whatever that is) because that's the only way my brain works. And it's looking ok but I have a lot of work to do. But this was the the 4th girl I made, and I like her the best so far. Since she's howling with bestial fury!

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/pinkhowler1.jpg

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/pinkhowler3.jpg

WOOOOOF!

If anyone has any suggestions, or could help me out with any armor painting tips, or anything else they might want to say. Throw it out there ;D

Bloody :D man, I'm loving it! Though the downside to the consept out of a "realistic" way would be the fact that the weght of the entire upper body is supported by her strength alone ( since the thighs are bare ). But since I view this project more in an comedy/artistic way than the realistic way I usually vew 40k I don't mind

Keep going my friend, t's looking great!

I was almost tempted to stop looking at this thread after I realised it was another female space marine project... I've seen too many people just stick huge greenstuff boobs on a space marine and use a female head and call it finished. Your models however are really creative and work really well (ignoring the physics of holding up the terminator body and the fluff of course :)) I look forward to seeing how these progress :)

All i have to say is AWSOME. This is great work way to push some dyi fluff out there. Kudos on all that sculpting it looks great. I real dig you sticking with an off hand comment like that. Also those hatting on something creative just cause it has boobs is just some how wrong. Good luck push on through march.

Thanks for the feed back.

Cardinal: There's going to be a bit extra hight once i clip her off the base and finish the feet.

odinswolf: "looks like a band of primitive barbarian women that have found the remains of dead marines and are using their armour without knowing exactly how to. I love the feel and the scuplts " Yeah, I kind of imagine each one as like a "mini battle suit".

Like they are in and out of it at the same time? It's kind of confusing... lol But I really like that idea.

Thanks for the <3 I'll be putting more pictures of later probably. Any tips for the painting? (I only just started the painting but I feel it's getting astray lol)

This "in and out" idea is how I imagined them as well. I would like to try this with some chicks in power armor parts, (and true scale to boot,) if only I could sculpt. Maybe I'll start practicing and make my own when I have enough skill if you don't mind? I find your ideas appealing which is odd as I hate the idea of female space marines. I think your combination of 40k and manga makes it appealing to me. Your sculpting skills also impress me as well. Keep posting the larger update pics if you can and keep up the excellent work.

(ignores trolling)

So I've taken a break from sculpting and decided to make a little update. I will probably have more to show at the end of tomorrow too. As long as i have a camera I will use it! :D

So today a spent a bit of time getting 3 more wolf-girl-a-nators done. Everyone at the local gaming store seemed to like where they were going.

I even test drove my army in an 800pt game. This will be the starting point for the escalation league.

So, I took my 16 models against a friends Tyrannids (the list he'll be running during the league)

And this really really weird think happened... I won. It was so afraid of getting boarded first turn because I only took 16 models that I forgot...

I'm still all terminators. lol

So anyway I got my first taste of the wolfies on the table. And I realized two things. To fit the "theme" of my army I am going to make a chart.

On this chart I will put a little face shot and name of each wolfgirl. This chart will keep track of how many "kill points" (aka victory points) achieved per model.

Then During the last month of the escalation league I will upgrade the girl who's proven herself the most worthy in the eyes of the Big Bad Wolf to a Wolf Lord.

It should be really fun!

The other chart I will make will be just like the first one, but It will be like a bingo card with each wolf ladies face and equipment, so I can set it on the table and allocate wounds

between each model. (which takes a bit of getting used to). And I can also cross off people who die! :D Anyone who's had new nob squads may know how I feel.

Anyway here's so pictures of my progress thus far.

The Rune Priest:

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/runepriest1.jpg

I started finishing off final shapes smoothing everything a bit, and adding her hands and finished her hair and other fine details. I am still debating if want to put her back pack on. I even thought of putting some old school chaos backpack bitz sticking from her cape. I like her tubes. :D

Wolf Gaurdz

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/wolfgirl8.jpg

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/wolfgirl7.jpg

The model that's just a terminator body with a head on it has an odd story. Starting with "I couldn't get the damn thing open" and ending with "screw this crap."

It saddens me to take such a short cut but I only have another week or so before I HAVE to start painting. So shortcuts will be taken. I like the second girl a lot. her belt needs something

going on in the middle.

This next girl is a wolf gaurd. But I made her special (that means REALLY SPECIAL when you are handsculpting ladies into terminator armor).

One of my favorite game series is Guilty Gear. My favorite characters were always ABBA and Potemkin. In the game Potemkin is a giant meat faced guy with big huge fists with guns on them.

One of his finishing attacks he knocks his opponent skyward! Then he leans back and gets ready to deliver the prodigeous punch that will put your lights out. As he leans back he gives his bit a little peck (a little heart even floats up) then Clobbers your face off. I loved that! I still love that.

So ahem!

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/potemkin2.jpg

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/potemkin1.jpg

I think it turned out really well. It needs some smothing and clothes and maybe a little heart ( ;) )?

But I will be really excited to mime this before I powerfist the crap out of a cranifex or land raider! :D

I think her eyes (being closed and all) came out ok. I'm not really sure though since I've never seen a model with closed eyes.

Her hair is also really cool.

Terminatorinhell send me a cool pic of his own terminator gal. He's supposed to post is here (or a link) but I guess it hasn't happened yet. :D

Here's some very quick picks of the finished potemkin girl, and the new girl 10.

I've been thinking heavily and I might want to add Grey Knights to this list at some point :)

Here you go.

The lighting on these is pretty terribad compared to the rest of the pictures, it's really hard to make anything out. :(

Also, regular grey knights, or bizzarro world girly grey knights? Either would be interesting to see next to these.

thanks for all the interest everyone. and other than tomorrow (which I am taking off for movies) I will be furiously working to finish these ladies, there are only 5 left and my arms finally came. I'm thinking I'd paint the arms and bodies separate? that seems like the smart way considering the immense size of the arms. so here's my schedule current schedule of updates to my army in the escalation league.

February: 15 Wolf Gaurd Terminator Girlz and 1 Runepriestess

March: 2 Grey Knight Terminators, 1 Grey Knight Terminator Brother Captain, 1 Grey Knights Grandmaster. (girls? maybe you'll have to wait to see the sketches). No matter their gender I'm going to be basically building the grey knights from scratch. Should be fun

April: Logana Grimgrrl (hand sculpted from her morikai to her belt of russ) Although this is listed in april I'll have to have her done by the end of march or buy and paint a real one lest I fail my LBC vow. :(

May: Hopefully Sisters Of Battle (wooooo!) If not I still have 1 HQ choice left, so maybe Ragnar-a Blackmane?

June: 1 wolf lord (the highest scoring termi-girl has won the big bad wolf's respect and been made a wolf lord! hooray!)

July: ??? I'm not even sure when this league ends ;D

so tomorrow i'll be putting up some new concept sketches of the wolves, and their new allies the grey knights.

;)

Oh and nothing can stop the Hate-O-Cane!

Here's the concept art for the grey knights.

I am going to be making them SUPER EMBELISHED! Far beyond the already sweet models.

Plus to fit with the girl-in-nators I will be making them Lady Grey Knights.

Should be fun.

:D

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/ginocoolowski/Woofz/ladyknights2.jpg

I plan to make the armor pretty big if I can. And put the torso of the "pilots" on top. They will have black bodysuits

probably with purity seals and big eagles and such on them, face tattoos ect. It should be fun.

Comments Suggestions General Humour, send it in. :P ;) ;)

I knew you couldn't stay away from girly grey knights! Anyways, I'm not so sure about the "sticking out the top" bit. For that to work out it seems like they would have to be absolutely gigantic. The concept art for the armor itself is pretty rad though, if you can get the actual models to have as much detail as is on that gauntlet it would be rather impressive.

Out of curiosity, have you thought about making a dreadnought at all? It would be interesting to see your take on one of those, I think.
