Jarl Bloodwolf
the title pretty much says it all im curious to know who peoples favorite non primarch characters are prior to the heresy. after reading multiple horus heresy books i would have to say my favorite character is either Nathaniel Garro of the Death Gaurd or captain Ehrlen of the World Eaters. there was also a White Scars captain who was mentioned briefly but i cant remember his name. MCCCXXXVII
It's hard to narrow it down to just one, but if I had to pick, I think it would be a tie between Garviel Loken and Solomon Demeter. I just love reading about how their legions are being corrupted around them. Brother Captain Alaric
All my choices are pretty generic, the Mournival, but Abaddon deffinately falls out of favor. I LOVE Aximand, I hope he returns to betray the traitors in the end. I like Tarvitz and Vairosean, whom I wish had been expanded more. I've only read up to Fulgrim, I haven't been able to obtain FotE, but I hear Garro is a crowd favorite. mob16151
Non-Primarch, Khârne, he is badass + overkill combined in one.  Anyone who gets ran over by a tank, and basically walks it off is alright in my book. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197625-who-is-your-hero/#findComment-2354499 Share on other sites
Rune Priest Ridcully
Uthizaar, Ahriman and the remembrancers generally, some of the most tragic charecters I have read, especially Uthizarr, who is proberbly the most tragic charecter in all of 30/40k, would love to see him as part of the legion of the dammed, plus I hope they do a model for him, my skills with green stuff are not good enough at the moment to do my own. Vissah
Abaddon cause he is simply the strongest and toughest character that walks around during the Heresy. He is a total badass and he hates everything that is not human how more staight forward can you be, I just love people who go straight to the point of things. He also is grumpy at times and likes to complain I like that part of him aswell :D Â Abaddon FTW !!!!! Tyear
Erebus to be honest. Something about him seems tangible and 'real' in a strange way. A true viper whispering in the ear of one of the greatest Primarchs to ever walk the stars. Well y'know before burning them ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197625-who-is-your-hero/#findComment-2354705 Share on other sites
Legionator
Ehrlen, he was crazy enough to challenge to his own primarch. I hope a book about World Eaters would be published in the Horus Heresy series. Verythrax Draconis
That drunken poet. I hated him in the first book, but he grew a lot on me in the second one. Â Same thing as Torgaddon. It's great when he start to go against the Mournival in favor of Loken - he is just like Loken, but without being the annoying self-righteous noob :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197625-who-is-your-hero/#findComment-2354881 Share on other sites
Jarl Bloodwolf
as was mentioned i chose erhlen because he was crazy enough to take on angron. even though he died that part of the story was awesome. also i started liking garro in the part of the book were him and loken are fighting those singing witchs and garro is wounded. just the things he says make him in my mind a grizziled old veteran whos tough as nails Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/197625-who-is-your-hero/#findComment-2354898 Share on other sites
valanus
I thought Grammaticus was very well written and the development of Ahriman's character was particularly well done, making him a very sympathetic and likable character for me. Not so sure about Abbadon, seems he was a tool even before he became the despoiler. Ashe Darke
That drunken poet. I hated him in the first book, but he grew a lot on me in the second one. Ignace Karkasy. Â I really liked Saul Tarvitz as well. He's the kinda underdog that Honsou should have been and he's a lot less irritating than Honsou as well. He had been told he would be nothing but a line officer but when it came down to it he lead the resistance against the attacks on the survivors. He even commanded people that held rank over his because he was that good at it. Verythrax Draconis
Thanks. Â And good rememberance on Tarvitz. I had forgot about him. He's one of the more fleshed out characters in the first book, and one of the characters that made more "sense", not indulging on the SM cliches. I'm just starting the 3rd book, and I'm really looking forward reading more on him soon. Â Too bad he just made a cameo on the second book when the ECs visit Horus just to get that sword.
