who is your hero

My hero has yet to make an appearence and I fear he won't since GW will probably bloody ret-con him out of existence;

They probably will. It'd be GREAT if he did show up, though.

I'm gonna have to say Talos, as because he's a chaos marine, he does kinda count.

Seriously though, when m'kchen kills the haunter al the other NL sit around and moan about it, whereas he chases her all the way to her ship, and is the one who actually kills her, not caring if the Eldar kill him simply because he refuses to run away when all his brothers do.

You might wanna spoiler tag that, but I agree he is very cool. I've read Soul Hunter which has prompted be to buy Lord of Night which I'm reading now, I'm curious about Sahaal's perspective on it all.

I doubt Talos will appear in the NL HH book though.

I don't know about that, he had a kinship with the Haunter no-one else in the legion did, which would make it an obvious character include right there, and I think you'll be more than happy with Lord of the Night

What about Sheng? weren't he and Night Haunter close??? I guess they would be because A) Night Haunter chose Sheng as his equerry B ) Night Haunter gave him the near heretical orders just before he "strolled" out of his "room" on that space fortress; the one where he was "protected" by Dorn's Huscarls and Fulgrim's Phoenix Guard.

He was replaced by a Terminator marine years ago I'm afraid. :D

I know :( And the termie was replaced by a Custodes after that so even the termie got screwed!

But since GW have been ret-conning things all over the shop in HH novels I'm hoping one of the authors with sense will point out that humble human Ollanius Pius against the almost god-like Horus will pack far more of an emotional punch than any marine or Custode doing the role. But that relies on the presumption that GW ever listen to sense or what the fans want.... :(

Khârn, being impaled on a tank by Loken, hasn't stopped him Killing, Maiming, and Burning 10,000 years later

Khârn is simply awesome. Not only does he totally survive incredible amounts of punishment, he also walks into a locked room with an angrier than usual Angron and soaks up all his rage... the hard way... And he doesn't even raise a finger against his primarch...

Hell, he even manages to calm Angron down. Dude deserves some kudos.

Does anyone know who the White Scars captain I mentioned in my OP is and where he's at in the original three HH books?

The only White Scars captain mentioned in any of the books is Kurgis in Descent of Angels; He's the White Scars commander who transfers compliance responsibility to the Dark Angels.

OH ok thats him. For some reason I kept looking in the original three books. Cool thank you

Ahriman of the Thousand Sons. Intelligent, powerful, compassionate; initally far more humane than many of his fellow astartes. Pushed into an impossible position by multiple betrayals and terrible decisions by those in authority (The Emperor's ridiculously draconian decision at the summit of Nikael, Magnus's arrogance in bartering with Warp entities, Horus's betrayal of the Impierum and subsequent manipulation of the Space Wolves, the Space Wolve's belligerent, unthinking stupidity in assaulting Prospero without pause or consideration). He could have been one of the greatest heroes of the Imperium and humanity itself. Instead circumstance turned him into one of its most potent nemeses.
