Everyones stuff is looking great.

The landraider is coming along. A few more things to put on it and it will be ready to be primed.

I put together a model for my HQ choice for my classic collectors army. The colors for that army are white with one yellow shoulder pad. So I spayed the body with white primer, which by the way was on its last spittal, waited for it to dry and gave it a coat of white. Now...I was trying to make a wash with watered down black ink and it looked like it work for a minute till it dried. It seemed to bleed out of the crevices and leave a grey water mark. So I went back with straight black ink with a dab of water and it was too dark. Question: If I buy the Badab black wash will that also need to be watered down? I went back and cleaned up some of the black on the armour but it looks abit chunky. Not sure if this is because of the primer or the cheap white paint I have.

So I'm going to go today and get some Skull White and Badab Black wash and see if I get any better results.

Brother Anthony.

Looks sweet james the red is awesome, on the side note of halo reach if you want a game or two add me, I'm Death by Haggis

can i just say all these models are freakin sweet, i now want forgeworld armours (why's my wallet crying?). can i join this fine group of individuals?

i have the attention span of a gnat (i hear they get sidetracked often) so haven't been all the way through this thread - or don't recall if i have - but are there any rules/obligations?

and my gamertag is Eaglshard1982 - but i'm not sold on Reach yet, i may get it, but not strait away

@ slyen: thanks mate. I think that theplasma gun is the one from the previous Chaos Marine box set. It lacks th current one's spikey bits, but I couldn't tell you for sure as I recieved it in some stuff I bought from E-bay.

@ Brother Anthony: It sucks when paint doesn't behave itself :P. Badab Black can be used straight from the pot (I use it like this on all my silver metallics) or it can be thinned with water. If you're wanting to 'black line' with it, I'd reckon you'd need to water it down a little so that the white paint isn't so affected on the edges of your lines, if you see what I mean. Looking forward to seeing your Land Raider....

@ Brother Martemis: Rules (guidelines) are in the first post on page one. They're mostly just confirming that we'll abide by the rules of the B&C. There are no obligations to/for membership. You're not alone in your short attention span, I'm forever tinkering with some idea/project or other. I recommend you do get hold of some of the FW stuff if you can because aside from the usual 'problems' with their resin stuff they are abosulutely fantastic, full of character and they beat mk vii power armour for coolness with out even trying B)

cheers

James

Brothers, I was just looking through the first couple of posts on this thread, and was wondering...

Did we ever sort out what the seal would look like? Because if we did, it should be displayed at the top of this thread.

Replica designed one, he was gonna tidy it up so we could use it in here, on the IBH forum, add it to out sigs, etc but I haven't heard from him in quite a while come to think about it. Has anyone else heard from him?

According to his profile, he hasn't been online since the 10th of August. Lucky guy must still be on holiday (or unlucky guy must be back with a heck of a lot of work).

If it doesn't bother anyone, maybe I could design an alternate one, or perhaps adapt his?

OK folks,

Now that the Da guy is finally finished I have done my normal and completely ignored my current in progress jobs and started a complete new one like ost of us do

I have decided that with every new model I do I'm going to try something new that i cant do or dont do very well to practice and get better at that particular part of painting.

so objectives for this guy

1. Get the gem's right so they look as good as Chapter Master Astador's

2. Glowing Jump Pack like Pig Of Sparta did on his Sang Guard

Man o man! I go biking for 4 days and miss a whole heap of stuff!

Khornate, that DA guy looks good, and I agree with whoever said it, but watered down paint in the feathers would make that model.

I forgot who's it was, I think it was Pig of Sparta's, but the BA Mk 'old' power armor looks great, and MK III should look excellent too.

And to Astador: IF for the win!

I received a SM battleforce in the mail, and I have some deathwatch to construct and paint in 15 days, and I want to paint my chapter master and retinue soon, so hopefully you'll see a lot from me

Wowza... That is nice...why don't you come over here and paint my Chapter Master for me? :teehee:

So on another forum, I have 500 points to create a 'special forces' kill team type of thing. I have 15 days to start and finish these guys. I chose to do Space Marines, since their bitz are mainly what I have the most of. You can use whatever you want from the Codex, in any form.

I chose to create a Deathwatch elite kill team.

  • >500 points
  • Sternguard-Combimelta
  • Sternguard-Combiplasma
  • Sternguard-Storm Bolter
  • Vanguard-Power Weapon, bolt Pistol
  • Vanguard-Thunder Hammer, bolt pistol
  • Venerable Dreadnought-Multi-Melta, Close Combat Weapon

I will be adding an independent character later on, but I'm not sure what of yet. I may also change the Dreadnought weapons later on.

And whats really in the bag. The dreadnought is AoBR, and I couldn't pull it apart, so I just left it as is. I'll change anyways. The metal pieces on the sprue are Deathwatch bitz, and the others are SM weapons.

Thanks! It's from the Warriors of Chaos knights box. It along with several awesome halberds makes the box almost worth buying just for arms! ;)

Yeah, I love the kit but I never saw that mace... No matter. Again, great job! :P
