Submitted for the approval (and hopefully acceptance into the ranks) of the Brotherhood, I give the following offers.

There are 3 more of these lovelies in the works. Ive basically carved off every Blood Angel symbol i could find, leaving what I deemed worked best.

A random Banner-man

Lord Shazzul's Twin Brother; Shazzel, Champion of Khorne

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v15/Joephus/IMAG0299_zps076b74e6.jpg

He'll either have twin hammers, or twin swords. Not quite sure which ill go with yet, but I am leaning more towards the twin hammers.

Apologies about the picture quality of some of these. I had to use a mix of Digi-cam and my phone >.< Once i figure out how to use my Girlfriends fancy camera, I promise to put up better ones as updates and new creations.

Speaking of new creations, to go along with Shazzel, I'm creating a squad of Khorne Beserkers that follow him.

You're not the only one. I've been buying the small box sets of clip together minis and practising on them. It's helped me quite a lot :D

Glad the brotherhood is back. Time to get my painting and army rolling again so here are my latest projects.

Represented by the chaos lord is Ru'athan of the Dark, my chaos sorcerer. Fluff wise he is a psychic vampire who feeds on fear and wears adorned armor without any legion markings. The chosen champion represents Captain Lahash of the 7th claw of the 8th company of Night Lords following Lord Commander Chyld.

I've got some other stuff for my Nightlords going on in my WIP thread.

Nice little touched to the DV Lords there Neph, keep it up!

Just a small update from myself today.

A little work done to the base of Shaz'zel, nothin fancy.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v15/Joephus/IMAG0314_zps5137d5fe.jpg

I've decided to go with Twin war-maul's as his weapons of choice, since my bitz-box failed me and I couldnt find the parts I wanted for twin hammers.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v15/Joephus/IMAG0315_zps1b153d50.jpg

And here is the first of Shaz'zel's followers, a member of the 'Silent Scream'. (name being worked on. Basic fluff(will be fluffied out more) is as a part of the initiation into Shaz'zel's unit, they must cut their own tongues out to match Shaz'zel's own lack of tongue/voice.) So you might be able to see on the model, and every one I make, they wont have a tongue at all. :)

Also as a small update, I went and purchased the latest WD and its given me lots to cream...I mean dream about when it comes to the future of these guys. Also...grabbed 3 LE:DV sets <_< So I'll be hacking away at them to make them all chaosy...except the Deathwing...they stay the same and will contribute to growing my already large Deathwing force.

Until next time!

On another note, 5 of my 7 Dark Vengeance boxes are missing! :o Stolen off the front porch.

I'm really sorry to hear this. I hope you manage to get them back again MCA :).

@ =][= Inquisitor Xenthor =][=: those tzeentchian marines look epic, can't wait to see some paint on them :).

@ Nephren-Ka: great minds must think alike, I converted one of my Chaos Lords in exactly the same way! :)

now I'm away to root through my bits box for some stuff for Battle Brother Ludovic and if there's time resume scraping mould lines from the rest of my Traitor Marines... I will get this army posted up shortly... and I will get it painted too because I want to add so much Forge World-y goodness to it it's unbelievable

Now that is certainly a nice bright paintjob Madwolf - maybe a little heavy on the edge hightlighting and you can easily rectify that by using a thinner brush, but they are still off to a very good start.

The only thing thats off - to me anyway - are the helmets. They just don't seem to pop like the rest of the armour. Try a thinned down wash just brushed into the edges where you would normally find shade.

I return with 2 questions while I tinker with the UM truescale captain as I await James and our little side project to be ready to go.....

1) I'm not convinced by this NonMetallic Metal nonsense - or rather by my attempts at NMM in particular.... This I think is my best attempt so far. It's kind of rough and based on one of the tutorials for colours I found on t'interweb. Let me know what you think and give me some pointers as to where to take it....

2) I've added a Laurel wreath to the shoulder as I wanted some form of heraldry or other to break up the plate. The UM chapter symbol is on the other shoulder so needed something else. I had the HH art book and the Insignium Astartes so was going to use them for some information and examples, but for the life of me can't find 'em :( Anyway my thought is now that the wreath doesn't stand out too great and so I have to decide if I stick with the subtler detail or go down the route of a white shoulder pauldron. My worry there though is that it'll look too un-Ultramarine.... Again, thoughts and opinions please...
