I really love the idea of adding character to your army, so here is my addition.

 

Name: Rahab

Weapon: two lightning claws

History: Rahab is a terminator who is know for his cold, effective close combat attacks. He uses minimal movement in order to avoid incoming attacks, dodging or blocking attacks with only inches to spare. This usually carches his opponent of guard, because they think they have scored a killing blow. Only to late they realise their error when Rahab's lightning claws slice them apart. This style of fighting almost became the undoing of Rahab when he was confronted by a brood of genestealers. The genestealers proved to quick, even for him and great rends where scored in his terminator armour. Only due to the intervention of his battle brothers Rahab lives to fight another day. He has refused to have his armour restored as a constant reminder of the encounter.

Detail: His armour are covered with claws marks of the genestealers that almost killed him.

BTW Hemal... all that, they took care of in CC with the CF, PF and TH :P

Sergeant: Brother Gaius

Fluff:

Once an inquisitor chaplain, he saved Azraels life from an avatar by cutting through a metal crane support with his combi-melta. The crane fell onto the avatar, stunning it for just long enough for Azrael to snatch up his weapon and stab it to death. As a reward Azrael granted him one wish. Gaius was never at ease in the fortress monastery interrogating suspects so he asked to join a deathwing squad so he could fight on the battlefield more.

Appearance:

Give him a skull mask and crozius arcanum! (Maybe a use for the awesome terminator chaplain model?)

I stole the names from a list of Biblical Angels and I'm not too good at Fluff, but hey, here goes!

 

Brother Munkir - Armed with Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield has served with teh deathwing for over 100 years. His first action as a DW member was abord the Space Hulk Bringer of Sorrow where his prowess at close combat was duly noted by his superiors as he destroyed wave after wave of Genestealers in the tight confines of the ships corridors. It was also abord the Bringer of Sorrow that Brother Nakir was serving, having been inducted into the DW 50 years prior. Nakir is renowned for the destructive ability he has with his Heavy Flamer, and the unnerring accuracy with which he wields it. Both Munkir and Nakir have served together in the same squad ever since, building a competetive but mutual respect for each other and the high death count each is responsible for.

Name: Zuriel ("the Lord my rock". thought it apt for DA =P )

Weapon: Shooty Dread

History: Zuriel was in the Deathwing for many centuries before being promoted to the personal retinue of Belial smiting the heretic with his Cyclone Missiles, Zuriel was a crack shot with his Cyclone Launcher and could always find a chink in a vehicles armour. Belial was sent to destroy an Ork Warboss before he could muster a Waaagh that would threaten the sector, during the deepstrike Zuriel and 2 others became seperated from the main force when they spied the Warboss in question shouting at a group of Nobs, for the honour of the Chapter he and his 2 battle brothers launched a surprise attack and wiped out all but the Warboss and 3 Nobs, the Orks understandably a little angry charge the 3 Terminators, 2 Nobs assault the SH/TH brother whilst the last Nob assaults the brother with HF, the Warboss chooses Zuriel as he wants the "Big Shooty Hurty Thing" on Zuriels Shoulders, the Warboss grabs Zuriel with his Power Klaw crushing the Terminator, as the life is ebbing out of Zuriel he unloads as many of his missiles into the face and upper torso of the Warboss killing him.

Zuriel has since been entombed within a mighty Dreadnought so that his ever valuable skills will not be lost in a time of such Darkness

Detail: Zuriel carries the Boss Pole from the Warboss, so that the Greenskin may know his deeds.

 

May come up with more at some point as long as you're happy with that

I've got a tournament next 27th... and I'm gonna be begging all of the guys I know for their bits and pieces!

 

This is turning out so much fun...I really really hope I get some time this weekend to get the terminators finished and only waiting for their shinguards and details!

Name: Asfadel

Weapon: Shooty Dread

History: Asfadel is the most recent asset of the Deathwing. He danced with Death in the recent campaign at Anilla-Kens subsector in 157.997.M41.

He was a distinguished member of the DW, leading as sargent the squad Storm Bolter and Power Fist when the Lion's forces met with the remains of Hive Thoreg-en. Although he saw destruction in his path, whilst defending the cover of his brothers he suffered a full impact of bio-ammo that not even his venerated armour could stand.

Fortunately, his brothers retrieved his dying remains and got him to Sword of Justice, where decision was made for him to be set in a DN sarcophagus.

He just recently awakend and is eager to return glory to the Chapter.

Name: Lemaniel

Weapon: Chain Fist

History: Specialist in the CF usage, he has proven in countless ocasions his skill in the short distances both in space hulks and in the battlefield.

His greatest skill is in assaulting armoured transports so his brothers can saw destruction inside.

Name: Pontifex

Weapon: TH/SS

History: Pontifex is known throughout the Deathwing and the Dark Angel chapter in general for being headstrong and reckless. Formerly he favored a heavy flamer and power fist for his weapons. After a nasty encounter with some fallen he was strongly encouraged by his sergeant to adapt a thunder hammer and storm shield. His new shield would protect him from the hail of fire he so often charged into and his thunder hammer would let him fight on equal ground with all but the most powerful opponents.

Detail: Lots of bullet scoring because of his recklessness. If the model is not yet assembled maybe give him running legs and have the SS be up in front of his body with his thunder hammer trailing behind like he is about to take a mighty sweep. Kind of like this:

I had to pull out my BB since at work I can't see most pics... and I almost laughed, darn you! All of the terminators are built primed, base coated and waiting for inks and details.

well, i guess i'l submit one, here it goes:

 

Name: Raziel (an archangel," Keeper of Secrets" and the "Angel of Mysteries." fits pretty well, huh?)

 

weapon: Thunder hammer n' stormshield (in eagle of vengeance if possible)

 

History: Raziel is the oldest and most experienced member of his squad, he has been offered the leadership of the squad many times, but each time he has denied, claiming that he wasn't meant for leading.

Raziel is stubborn and calm, his features are like set in stone. he is seen by many Deathwing members as a inspiration and is often asked for advice by the "younger" members of the Deathwing

during Raziels first mission as a scout he witnessed nearly his whole squad being murdered by the necrons who was awaking on the planet, only him and one of his battle brothers survived.

after walking in 10 days with a broken leg that not even a space marines enhanced healing abilities could fix and nothing to eat or drink (it was a death-world, completely dessert, like Baal) he and his squad mate made it back to an imperial outpost, because of the slaughter of his closest friends Raziel is very introvert, his only friend being the squad mate that survived the attack, and is now a high ranking interrogator chaplain.

 

Details: some necron bits and pieces on the base, at least one head, with creepy green eyes please

Raziel seem to be a pretty prominent angel in some kind of jewish mythology, actually (if i got it right, he ranks higher than the angel EZEKIEL in the angel hierarchy ;) )

 

i also checked if he had any relations to 40k, didn't seem so.

 

nobody wants to have ONLY a power weapon and a stormbolter, a hammer is much cooler

 

EDIT: Ezekiel isnt an angel after all, he just wrote a book ABOUT angels (browsing through the articles on wiki i saw alot of familiar names, like Uriel, Azrael "the angel of death" and sammael.

it also appears that Belial and Asmodai are both high-ranking demons

Here is a Sgt for you, based on an actual Apoc battle last August.

 

Name: Acerbior Venator ( A green unfinished hunter) Formerly known as Brother Sergeant Rolund

 

Weapons: Storm Bolter, Power Sword

 

History: The sole survivor of a detachment (Det One) of two DW Sqds ported into the face of a green Tide of 130+ Orks at the battle of Orlando. Defending on open ground between the Ork Waagh and retreating civilians in the city only 500 meters to their rear Sqd Rolund and Sqd Antioc charged into the hoard with death on their minds.

 

Rembrancers chronicle the battle of the Orlando plain to have lasted only six to eight minutes, the time it took for reinforcements from the DW and Salamander Terminators to arrive in two Land Raiders at the scene. In that time orbital bombardments lashed out at a separate Green Tide of 150+ to the left of detachment One blinding all who dared look, and nine of ten valiant DW were buried under the bodies of Orks racing to their death. After action reports by the reinforcements acknowledge that Brother Sgt Rolund was above a pile of Ork bodies larger than a Rhino, buried past his waist in the dead and dying, his Storm Bolter useless from lack of ammunition, Brother Rolund was using his Power Sword two handed carving through all who came his way. There was only an estimated 12-15 Orks left at this time most of which were still at the bottom of the pile, unsure of who to attack they died to an Ork by the combined assault of fresh DW and Salamander Terminators.

 

During the recovery process Apothecaries extracted Brother Rolunds body from the pile of broken bones, blood and his Sqd mates. In his hand was the broken staff of the Waagh Banner impaled through its bearer, and to the hilt of his Power Sword the body of an Ork War Boss hung limp in death.

 

Brother Sgt Rolund has changed his name to Acebior Venator in honor to those that fell at his side. The Steele jaw plate of the War Boss has been affixed to his chest plate just below his helmet, and the Waagh Banner is worn as a tabard. His visage instills confusion and fear in any Ork that faces him.
