I am sending several models back at a time styygens but am hoping that once everything is done and dusted he will assemble them all in one crazy apoc game and grab some pictures for me, if that ever happens I will be sure to post! Saying that it seems to be never ending, still have a marauder, Aquila and several baneblade variants and now the possibility of a couple of storm ravens, an assault ram and possibly a Warlord could be added to the list!!!

I do play occasionaly Hogun but it is finding the time between painting that is the real problem! Rather liking Dust at the moment so that takes any tabletop time I do get

I know it's a power armour forum, but as these are clearly forming part of a 'marine' army surely we can keep it in? Inquisitorial henchmen are allowed so there is sort of a precedent.

I don't recall Navy fliers being in any Marine or =][= Codex.

While the paint jobs are supremely impressive, there's simply no viable connection between the Space marines and the Imperial Navy. Inquisitorial Henchmen are allowed because they are from a predominatly Space marine codex (IE: Grey Knights) while Demons are allowed because they can be used in the Chaos Space Marines codex. There's been considerable lee-way with this in allowing postings of Titans, another force that do not directly connect to the Space Marines. Lets not push it guys. If you can't point to a solid connection between the unit in question and Space Marines, chances are it doesn't belong on this forum.

By all means chaps, if your losing sleep over it feel free to move this thread to a more appropriate section, but do let me know where so I can find it!

However, please excuse me if my understanding of how the Space Sharks (or Charchadons to you younger folk who don't hail back to the Rogue Trader days) is a little skewed but I always got the impression it went a little something like this.....

Somewhere in a galaxy far far away..............

Outstanding painting!! :jaw:

It's a fantastic wing!!

To those people thinking it might not belong here, please accept, that the Carcharodons = Space Sharks are, according to the Badab War Vol. II, a spacefleet based chapter. Also, according to it, they requisition/borrow whatever they might need to fight the enemies of the Imperium.

So you should also read the passage of the attack on Badab, where they stated clearly that the Space Sharks attacked with a plethora of all kind of flyers! Oh...and just to keep you quiet for the heavy armour that is also comming, please read on, as they state that the Sharks had a lot of heavy armour and siege machines!

Now it is fully thinkable, that in their nearly 10.000 years of duty they might have gotten hold of these flyers, whatever of imperial origin.

As these models are painted in the same colours and with the same chapter insignia as the Space Sharks they are part of this army!

And as you might have noticed they are only usable in Apocalypse games...therefore no need to actually be in one of the SM codexes.

Bulldog told me that this might happen one day, but i always thought that people aren't so limited in their imagination, as we all play a sci fi game. If you have to blame someone, so please blame it on me.

I just registered to be able to reply, please feel free to bann me at your discretion.

miniholic, do bear in mind you're lecturing the site administrator, amongst others, someone who is much more aware than most of us the rules of this forum. If he says posting more Thunderbolts and Marauders isn't kosher, then his word is law. I do see where you are coming from but I think you've jumped in with both feet, without looking. I'm not knocking what BulldogUK has posted, far from it - I am envious of the skill on show. But Kurgan has spoken. That's the be all and end all.

It's not that the Admins are unrelenting in their rules. This is Bolter and Chainsword, a power armor centered forum. So good rule of thumb: If the unit in question doesn't come from a codex (Codex! Not army book, not Fluff book, not Art book, not background book) with a character in Power armor on the front, it probably doesn't belong on this forum. If you want to get right down to it, you can draw rational connections between the imperial Navy, Grey Knights, Black Templars, Space Wolves, Imperial Guard, Ordo Xenos, Ultramarines, Blood Angels, Necrons, Eldar and Imperial Guard.

The Space Wolves fought alongside the Imperial Guard at Armageddon. I'm sure there was plenty of resource sharing going on there. The Black Templars are a crusading fleet and make use of extensive transports and escort craft. Chances are they have arrangements with the imperial navy.

The Ultramarines have entire divisions of Ultramar Coalition forces (IE: Imperial Guard) that they can call on.

The Crimson Fists have been aided by the Eldar.

The Blood Angels indirectly fought along side the Necrons.

The Admins have to stop it some where. Kurgan has already spoken up and given a friendly warning to limit the amount of Imperial Navy materials that are posted in this thread. He's an admin. End of story here. I've had threads closed for less. Hell I had a thread closed because I asked about a part in the Valkyrie.

Back to the point at hand of the materials in this thread:

I do have a question for you Bulldog, what are those titans build out of?

Oh and just noticed the shark-eque lighting claws on the terminators. How did you do those?

Hi Maverike, slightly worries me that I have to actually ask 'which' Titans!

Regarding the shark claws, I am glad you asked! They are basically cut from plastic card, the edges 'sharpened' with a craft knife then simply glued on, gives an otherwise generic figure a more sharky look I feel, especially on board the space hulks (which is where they are intended to be used)

I have included a few pictures of the figure and claws below to help you out, the newly painted Aquila lander is simply there for scale references  (dons his power armour and prepares for incoming fire)

The army is commission work, right? Just out of curiosity how much money has the client already invested in this project?

Is this a standard TDA powerfist you used for the lightning claw? Would you do a tutorial, please? Do you think this would work with the PA powerfists as well?

Oh and both models are awesome.

Well, I was gonna be cheeky and do something similar to the Aquila until I realised I had posted all the previous 'non-codex' stuff before I took any 'scale' pictures....doh!

So, if your wanting to see the latest additions of another Lightning, THREE Baneblades, Stormlord, Fellblade and ANOTHER warhound! Please skip over to the website at Tanks and Trolls Sharks BTW if you a spare few minutes feel free to browse and click on a few links on there, only a few quid short of my next cheque from adsense and I aint too humble to beg :P

In the meantime here is something that can DEFO be used by Marines (yay)

FW StormEagle added to the army, real biatch to put together this one, not the best quality FW kit by far and lots of warped parts, one of those models that after assembly your picking superglue from your fingers for the next week. Overall though sort of grew on me and I think it's a really nice looking model for the tabletop

This is what comes in that nice brown FW box...

Once put together an interesting conglomeration of plastic and resin kit

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/StormEaglewip2.jpg

Bit 'o slap on and you got yourself a mean looking heavily armed marine minibus!

Next on the list, Assault cannon bristling Vulture and EIGHT Storm Talons!

Hi Quixus, they are just standard powerfists mate and I would imagine the method would look equally as good on PA fists too, maybe just make the claws a little smaller. I wouldn't say a tut is needed to be honest, simply draw the shape of the spiky bit on card, plastic or whatever your using, cut it out with a craft knife then, if you wish, for a better look shim the edges down to a blade. After that just stick 'em on with a little of the old super glue...jobs a good 'un :P

Thank the Emperor I'm not the only one who thinks this kit is a stone cold you-know-what to build. That said, looks like yours is a better fit than mine, I've got gap filler everywhere!

The paintjob is outstanding too and really provides some inspiration for me in tackling a Raven Guard Storm Eagle, loving that red canopy and the mixed grey tones :P
