...when you see this excerpt from the upcoming Gathering Storm book and conclude that - as has been said since the v6 codex - a Marshal of the Black templar is at least of equal rank to a chapter master in other chapters.

When your bike command squad are so zealous, the five of them lower their lances and charge a 15-ork biker squad and wipe it out in one round of combat... The champion killing 5 on the charge... While the Marshal just watches and twiddles his thunderhammer, wishing he wasn't striking at I1 :P

When you rock up to a game against Imperial Guard, and they are outraged that you brought more tanks than they did.

When the enemy delights in outnumbering you 3-to-1, but you consider this unfair on the Orks.

When your opponent utters the phrase "I hate 'Hatred'..."

When the enemy says 'no chance, I'm not firing ove watch at them! I remember what happened last time."

When the enemy charges your command squad with four boyz to soak overwatch, a entire battle wagon full of nobz with power claws and huge choppas, and a unit of 30 stormboys, but you still win the combat. Twice.

When your Apothecary has been reading Helsreach and thinking 'not on my watch,' making nearly 20 FNP saves in two turns.

When the ork dive-bomma arrives in turn three, looks at the devastation and decides to end it all by just ploughing straight into the ground face-first.

...when you begin studying GLORIOUS MELEE COMBAT in real life.

...when said studying leads to a blood sugar crash from the sudden spike in activity and your response is to "walk crusade it off" (walk it off to work, work half a shift before finally eating and bringing my blood sugar back up so I could think normally again).

So yeah, true story. I've started brushing off the rust from my old military combatives training and am learning Jujitsu and the hour of hard cardio meant I wrecked my blood sugar levels for most of the rest of the day and didn't realize it until after I ate way later.

...when you argue with people on why guns aren't the best solution to a violent confrontation (my points included the fact that shooting someone doesn't always kill, even with a "kill shot". I mean just use a frikkin' sword. Not like he's going to walk off one of those through the middle of his chest :P)

When you see this gif for the first time and CHEER both because the Marines changed livery and it means the game will have an "army painter" AND what they changed into as soon as they did - Templars! HA!

Happened to me last night:

When you are trying out Inquisitor Greyfax for the first time (had her leading an IG unit) and she immediately suffers a perils of the warp and explodes as the dice themselves refuse to allow a psyker in your army....

When you go on to win the game anyway despite the violent witch explosion...

Always blowing up a witch for good luck at the beginning of a battle ...

When you play against a necron, most of your army get shot an only the emperor's champion manages to reach enemy lines to slaughter two squads in retaliation.

When the enemy says 'no chance, I'm not firing overwatch at them! I remember what happened last time."

The only two armies that ever really fire overwatch at me anymore are those who are firing at full or improved ballistic skill, and those that know if they don't then the squad won't do any damage anyway.

Do these desecrators know no limits?

My day:

Wakes up... goes to the loo... grabs coffee... check what's new from GW and Forge World.... check latest topics from here... sees this:

There are only two colors you are allowed to paint Sigismund.  Yellow or black, anything else is heresy.  I play Ultramarines and even I know this.

When even the Ultra poster boys with Him Cato Sicarius, the Spiritual Liege Calgar and even the new old primarch on the team still have to suck up to your First Captain and first Chapter Master. Because never in the history of their Legion and all of their Successor Chapters they had an Emperor's Champion among them.

Made my day :D

Apparently, Sigismund is the only one on the Imperial side who knows how to wield a sword.

No wonder the Emperor gave us the Eternal Crusade.

Seeing that ultrafethed Sigismund gave me a very, some would say heretical, some would say extreme, other would say genius idea. Sigismund on his scenic base looks like he's about as big as 40k Guilliman. Run Sigismund in 40k with Guilliman's rules? As you guys know I'm always looking for excuses to make kitbashes and such for counts-as to make cool combos, but is this idea going too far? :biggrin.:

40K Guilliman looks like a visual kei (Japanese boy band) member! The only way you can make Sigismund (CONFIRMED BADASS) look like the Ultramarines Primarch, is to put him in a literal DRESS, with lace, ribbons, frills, and flowers!
