You know you're a black Templar when...........

You're leading the Imperial Forces for a 90 thousand point apocalypse game with your Templars and Sigusmund has already been approved by the Organizer to be your Warlord.

I need to convince people to let me rock him. I'll give up my second HQ slot just give me him. Also pics of him in that game would be awesome. Hope for the triple attack finest hour if you guys use those rules.

Not to one-up you, Zyth, but:

When you will buy him, paint him and play him as a chapter master with burning blade (or Legion Relic if that still exists?) and shield eternal because nothing less does justice to the first Emperor champion!

When you're seriously considering a Large army of 30k templar to be his honor guard.

Fixed that for ya.

I'm not sure I'd run him with the shield. I mean rule wise it would make sense, but model wise it seems odd. Why would he need a shield? I suppose you could just give him an awesome looking sword and claim the 3++ is from his sheer skill and unwavering faith in the emperor. Actually now I know exactly how I would run him, WYSIWYG be damned.

Ha! The fix is not a bad one, I just wish I had the income to get a large army!

The shield makes a lot of sense rule-wise: Sigismund's Black sword is two-handed, so no extra attack, and he has Eternal Warrior. As you say, WYSIWYG be damned. Everyone should know that Sigismund is the best there is.

What if you model the shield in the back, like its actually part of the armour?

You don't have to model him. If nobodies like Abaddon, Loken and Typhon have had model, Sigismund, the greatest warrior besides primarchs, will certainly get his model too. Then in 40k, CM + Burning Blade + Shield Eternal is the best we can do to field him with "40k legal" rules, if your friends don't want the 30k ones.

Never mind pictures, you'd better be filming this!

...when you imagine 90'000 pts of Black Templars!!!!!!!!!

I'm bringing something like 5k by myself, our team will have a titan legion, 10k of imperial guard, a company of dark angels and 2 different companies of Imperial fists that stand at the Ready. Many pictures will be taken on this day.

You know you're a black templar when, the other players on your team are talking about how to turtle up and Hold the line or something. And you and the Dark angel decide to write full on assault lists with as many terminators, land raiders and mech to push out of the palace as you can.

When you receive a vision from the Emperor, which allows you to don the Armour of Faith, wield the Black Sword and predict the IF Templar colour scheme before it's released in HH Book 3!

When... you're telling your missus(or whoever) about your next big project you want to do(knight titan) and say without thinking  " I'll accept the challenge no matter the cost"

Missus didn't get it, guess shes not a Black Templar.

That, or FW totally stole your idea. :teehee:

Good for them, because it was a good one. It came from a Crusading heart and all Dornian battle brothers have rejoiced.

Ok, lets keep it family friendly here.

Thanks,

Apologies, Brother I will seek out a Chaplain and make penance.

You should start a Crusade for that.

...when you saw the new FW Knight Lancer, and think "What an Epic BT Iconic knight"

...when you turn sad when you read it will probably be a Mechanicum unit, meaning 30k.

No problem, I could see that one heading down a dark road so I figured it was best to play it safe ;)

You are right I shall gather the fleet and put the blasphemers of Uranus IV to the sword!

Understandable, you know what they say about minds that wander in dark places haha

...when you plan to use Allied IG, and look for a nice name for your IG and all what cames is: "Implerial Templars / Steel Templars / Black Guards"

... And then realize that Imperial Guard Allies without the Old Man would be just plain HERESY!

The Old Man? (I don't know the reference)

...when you count your Rhino Chassis, and see you have only 10 of them and then you plan to purchase 20 more.

The Old Man? (I don't know the reference)

Old Man Yarrick of Armaggeddon. He's a BAMF Commisar that scares Orks and was accorded the honor of joining High Marshall Helbrecht to hunt down and finish off Warlord Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka after the Third War of Armageddon.

Ha yarrick, yes I need to purchase it.

Someone has obviously not yet read Helsreach.

... when reading Helsreach is a monthly ritual.

...when you feel guilty

(I look for it on every place I know they sell BL books, but none got it. I'll ask my local store if he can order one copy for me)

Has anyone read the 'Armegeddon' book that has Helsreach and another Grimaldus story in it? I was going to buy it but I already have a dog eared copy of Helsreach I couldn't really afford to shell out another £15 for what was effectively half a book.

Ugh... everytime I visit my LGS I look for it, but never find it. I might have to order it, as I don't mind having multiple copies of the same book.

EDIT: Also, you know you're a Templar when you are making a list, and whenever you choose the 'Veteran sergeant' option, you automatically write it down as: 'Sword Brother',  'Chapter Master' is likewise replaced by 'Marshal' and whenever you use 'Orbital Bombardement' you claim to throw the Holy Orb of Antioch instead.

Whenever your Crusaders fail a break test, you imagine them yelling: "Runaway! Runaway!"

Also, does anyone have any idea on how I could add swallows and a coconut on a BT model?

It's not so much that it's a second copy more that it's a lot of money to pay for a hundred more pages but I agree I can't seem to find it anywhere not even on bookshops, other than BL's, website.
