WE Blue: Its Mordian Blue over the black undercoat, washed with Badab Black and then blended back up to pure Mordian Blue using thin layers of the colour and highlighted by adding white to Mordian Blue. WE Blood Stains: Its a mix of the old Red Ink, Baal Red and Badab Black thinned with water. About 1/2/(1/2) ratio. After the model is matt varnished i go over the blood with gloss varnish in the places i want it to look "fresh". If you don't have access to Red Ink, Coat D'arms red wash should do the job. SW Gold: A 1/1 mix of Scorched Brown and Vallejo Brass is applied over the black undercoat. Pure Vallejo Brass is layered on that, highlighted with Vallejo Brass and Mithril Silver 1/1 mix and washed with Gryphonne Sepia. Some touch up highlights are given to the sharp edges with Vallejo Brass and Mithril Silver 1/1 to finish. Abaddon legs are from FW's Lord Zhufor pack with all the Khorne/WE symbols taken off. No plans for Sallies or Thousand Sons in the near future guys, though one-off minis may appear if i get inspired to paint them. Cheers! :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rune Priest Ridcully Posted April 3, 2012 Share Posted April 3, 2012 Holy... that banner bearer is beautiful, and the best I ahve even seen that color scheme done, an army in that colour and your quality would both be breathtaking and a joy to face on the table top, even if it resulted in getting tabled. How do you do that green? I'm thinking of starting Infinity (Heresy I know, but hey, I collect Thousand Sons already :D )with mostly Domuru Butai (think space samurai) and I was thinking of going for sort of light jade colour, but that is so much nicer, I'd also use it for robes and such on my Thousand son Terminators as I have not been able to decide which color for their robes.
