I have added more grey to the mix (no longer fixed measurements). I used Vallejo Game Color Somber Grey. I like the result. Surreal Cruelty Posted May 15, 2011 Share Posted May 15, 2011 Now that looks like a renegade wolf. That shade of blue grey works well as a contrast to the dark grey. If you want to paint the bolt pistol casing red, I suggest changing the extractors to black or dark grey, or silver. For the chainsword, I'm going to try to paint some yellow/black hazard stripes. Yellow is also a color associated with space wolves and doing both weapons in red will be too much I think. What should I do with the rim of the base? What color should I paint it? I'm not really enthousiast about the eyes. I think I will need to touch them up some more. And the last thing I still need to do is the chapter symbol on the shoulder pad. Why not paint them as a 'grey fox' colour if you can, either ginger with grey, or grey with ginger streaks Lookin good, I like the hazard stripes! There's even one that is less werewolf and more like a slightly feral space wolf. I think I'm going to keep that one for a terminator if I ever get around to assemble some. I also ordered a set of medium wolf pelts and also received more than the ten I was supposed to get. I don't know if this is a first time customer thing, but it's great non the less !
