Vindicators looking great mate, I like the reinforced armour at the back. I like the jaws on thr gunner as well. The squadrons gonna look good,will you have them all on bases like your rhino?

 

Thanks - I might do.  The Rhinos once where done for display during events.  But I might go on & add them to the rest of my tanks.  Again just for display more than anything else & just that way it help tie the whole army together look wise.

So the Vindicator will be varnish tomorrow & should hopeful get the Forge World weather powder added between Friday & the weekend.  Then next week I need to pick up the Nurgle single spure model to help toward my very last vow for Call of Chaos - Nurgle Lord in Terminator armour.  I'm looking forward to it & have a rough idea how I want the model.

I'll need to spend next Friday & weekend paint up the Nurgle Lord with only less than two weeks now until Call of Chaos come to a end.

 

Next

- Tech priest model will be all ready to paint next week.  I'll also be painting a few of my Horus Heresy models from the box game.

- Nurgle Lord, as said start painting him next weekend.

- Start my Christmas holidays soon.  Rebase to 32mm one of the main things I want to get done during the holidays.

- Sunday 20th, pretty much going to be a building day for my plastic Dreadnought conversion, Juggernaut Lord & getting the base done for the 2nd ed Metal Chaos dreadnought.  I want to try get them all ready & undercaoted so I can paint them during the holidays when time permits & when I'm take a break from assassin's creed.  I've also got another project line up, but sadily it not Power Armour related (it a Chaos model due for release this weekend for another system) which will also be line up as somthing I want to get painted during the holidays.

 

I'm also going to get my Forgefane unit of Iron Warriors for Christmas now.  With a box of Chaos Marines & a Rhino.  I'll hopeful get a Forge World order sorted for Iron Warriors Rhino doors for this unit & try get a few bitz for trophies sorted.

Update

 

Once again thanks to Biohazard for thr Vindicator/trade during the DWARF Winter War tournament last month.  Just got the Vindicator tank finish painted during today & mange get a bit of time during yesterday get all the weather powder done.  I've also added black soot weather powder onto my first Vindicator tank I painted a few year ago :D

 

I've just got one more to add to the squad, but I'll keep the third model until ETL time as one of my vows for then.

Now it just the Nurgle Lord in Terminator armour I just need to buy & paint.  I should be able to pick up the model during the week along with Archon.  Then paint him during next weekend & that all my Call of Chaos complete :D

The use of the Iron Warrior transfers is really good. On first glance they are so similar but it's the little details that set them apart.

Yes.  Just for the squad help tie in, so thing like the Dragon skull.  But same time want them to be a bit diffrent from each other.  Just like the idea of Codex Marines allow squad for tanks & somthing I exspect when a codex Chaos get updated.  I think be cool & though be nice to have this squad, a unit that been there during the Horus Heresy, that fought on the ground of Terra & Iron Cage just to name a few for that Armour company.  Like Armour 13 shown with the Black Legion/Son's of Horus.

That's the sort of imagery I really like about chaos armies, the veterans of the long war, fielding marines and vehicles that saw the great crusade through the heresy and the wars against the imperium. Sort of like living history, as opposed to the loyalists who have relics and a different connection.

With less than a week until Call of Chaos finish for this year.  I've got one more vow, Nurgle Lord.  I've just quickly built him just over a hour ago & want to try get him ready for painting on Saturday (Saturday & Wed are usely my days off & kept aside for painting my own models).  I'm just waiting on a order to arrive from Bitz Box & just add a few bit of plastic tube.  Then get him undercaoted on Friday.

The Nurgle Lord was inspired by the Nurgle Sorcerer shown in the White Dwarf & Warhammer Vision a few month ago.  It look really cool & very inspering.  Also a little nod toward the old 2nd ed clip together Nurgle Marines, I had a squad of them in my Black Legion force along with a lot of Khorne Berzerker back then when I started the hobby.

Tech Priest from the Leman Russ kit/release few week as Warlord for my Dark MEchanicus. Just add transfer that will get done on Saturday.

So as said there, Nurgle Lord will be painted during Saturday & once he done my Call of Chaos vows are complete.

 

Then I should also be starting my Christmas holidays from the 17th Decemeber & want to get some time toward the hobby/time to myself before the holidays get really busy seen family & when I get Assassin's Creed.

I'm aim to have Sunday the 20th set aside to try get as much models built, Plastic Dreadnought, Juggernaut Lord, get the metal Chaos Dreadnought I got last month all base.  I'll also be starting the re-base of my Power Armour models in my Iron Warriors force.

My last Call of Chaos vow is now complete.  After buying part I needed on Wed, then getting him built when I got home & then painted on Saturday & varnish Sunday.  After Rapid Fire, I though be nice to try out the rust Forge World weather powder I got from the event on this model.

Also since building the model I've been thinking possible building up a small honour guard of Terminators for him possible useing Grey Knight Terminators parts after find a spure (though not to many parts) while I was tidy up my room & painting stastion during today.

Once again I've really enjoy taken part in Call of Chaos allow me to add a few models & having the deadline to work to.  Also seen ton of other really cool vows from all memeber who'd taken part. 

Also this year allowed me to get my Chaos Guard army finish.  As said in the past, this army has been on/off for three years & was getting to the stage if it didn't happen now, it never would.  Now I'm looking to add a few units like the Death Korp Rough Rider models from Forge World.  Also seen Armour 13: Lost & the Damned for more units & also spotting it allow me to use my Dark Mechanicus models in the same list if I want to which is really cool.  Then there also my Cultist that been shown in the past who also double as Chaos Guard basic troops.

 

Also just got the new Techpriest finish on Sunday.  Use transfer from the Horus Heresy box game, along with Mechanicus & Chaos Marine transfer.  Since useing the FW IW transfer, I've been wanting to try them on other models & just get use to working with them.

Also spent a bit of today re-base part of my Iron Warrior force.  So far I've gotten Sorcerer Krull, Warpsmith Damocles & Dark Apostle I converted up back in 2012 around this time.  Along with the Havocs I converted up during the ETL with the new Devastator kit, as well as my Iron Havocs unit built last year.  Then the Breacher along with Be Graphicus led by Champion Uzas Vel & Apocalypse led by Champion Kroege Santarr both unit been veteran of this army & been there since I started this era of my Grand Company.

Along with his Brother Dreadnoughts.  To think the Dreadnought front left has been around since near this time in 2001 when I was getting my first Iron Warriors force ready for Conflict Scotland.  Also getting the Land Raider (see first post/page 1) on Christmas day.

I have notice the legs are a little diffrent on the new Dreadnought.

So as said there aim to rebase a few models tomorrow so there ready for painting during the holidays which has pretty much started for me now due to work needing done in the house during this week.

Thanks Blindhamster - It also great to see return of your Blood Angels, old grudge army of my Iron Warriors as well back 2002 on led up to Conflict Scotland :D

 

I'm just looking forward to my holidays now.  Christmas day will see the Forgefane unit added to my force & got a few idea kicking about for them.  Then tomorrow as said rebase what left of my current Power Armour models so there all ready.  Just 32mm base are cool.  But keep Cultist/Chaos Guards & Dark Mechanicus troops on 25mm base for that image/order/rank.

Fantastic work, as always. I may be a bit late, but let me still say that I love your squad of allied World Eaters: I am normally not a big fan of those NL terror helmets, but you somehow still pulled off the look in style. Excellent!

 

It's surprising how well a mere paintjob works in making that (very cool) Tech-Priest look like a Dark Mechanicus Magos. He'll work very well as a commander for your Dark Mechanicus detachment!

 

The Nurglite Terminator is an excellent kitbash, and the paintjob is also pretty much perfect -- I do feel the purple tentacles are letting the model down, however, as they seem to cartoony by far. I think you could instantly improve the model and make it even more awesome by painting those tentacles in sickly flesh tones.

It just the Night Lord Terror squad helmet has been somthing I've wanted to add to my Chaos armies for years but I'm not able to sculpt.  So grateful for Forge World release these parts.  Just lot this is like when you see movie's like Willow or the 2nd ed era Art work

It same, like when I get the Hobbit DVD, I'm always watch the design to WETA Workshop & just all the diffrent weapons & armour desgin.

With the purple, was just down to the paints I had & pretty much just having Saturday to get the model all painted.  Just due to Monday & Tuesday ben really busy trying to finish off a lot of stuff before I could stop for my Christmas holidays & enjoy time off. 

 

I might make a second version of the model in the near future & possible terminator bodyguard units when time permit in the future.  Just after seen the Age of Sigmar Nurgle Knight/Warrior spure recently as my friend been convert up a really cool Nurgle Chaos Marine force.  Also possible use part from the Grey Knights terminators.
But as said that be a while off/time permits.

 



I really like the tech priest. The use of the transfers was good.

 

Yes, the Horus Heresy transfer are really cool.  I'll be useing the letter/rune a bit more.

Got a bit of rebase done recently.  I'm going to start adding sand to the models I've already gotten up to this stage so there ready to paint during the holidays.

Going to spend tomorrow getting the Dreadnought finish.  Just add finial part, gloss varnish, Blood for the Blood god, battle damage.  I'm also going to try paint up the 3rd ed era Warsmith model try get him all finish.

 

I should also hopeful buy the plastic Chaos Dreadnought this weekend & get him built as well, along with the Juggernaut Lord so there ready paint on Wed & Thursday.

Just got the classic metal Chaos Dreadnought finish painted yesterday (Saturday) & now join his battle brother 2nd ed era Chaos Dreadnought on the display shelf.

I also spent a bit of time yesterday painting up the Iron Warrior Warsmith model.  I'm going to make a new base for him, with the whole army move over to 32mm base.  Still a few part tidy up painting wise.  Try get this done some point during the holidays.

  • Raptors are for the unit of Iron Warriors I should hopeful get for Christmas, the Forgefane theme unit.
  • Nids, same as the Raptors.  Just wanted to pick up these kits to be safe/not sell out that my local Warhammer Store & so I can build the unit when time permit.
  • Dreadnought & Sentinal & Assassin are the the coversion just shown below this.

Just spent a few hour building up a new Dreadnought.  Inspired by GuitaRasmus Chaos Dreadnought & Eddie Blood Angels+Salamander Dreadnoughts seen in Warhammer Vision &/or the Games Workshop what new today blog.

 

I might end up building a few Cultist squads to go with him as part of the Helbrute formastion & think it will be cool for theme/background.

Also built up the Juggernaut Lord.  I've been thinking of adding a Juggernaut Lord for a while now, part from seen all the really cool conversion on the forum in a lot of cool Chaos Armies.  Part as a nod toward the 2nd ed Metal Juggernaut Lord.  Part - Just so I've got chose when it come to gaming.

Loving the taller siege dread, great gait to him. Very amused you bought the assassin, threw the assassin away and used the base. You people and your disposable income :wink:

 

Who said he been thrown away............ I've still to add trophies to the Dreadnought.......... ;)  Which is going to be done in a few moment as well as adding green stuff to both models.
