Update

 

Spent a bit of today painting up the Lord on Juggernaut & squad Be Graphicus led by Champion Uzas Vel 32mm base.  Just getting as much hobby done during the holidays, with the next few days from Christmas to New Year going to be really busy.

 

I replace the Lord weapon with the Axe from the Khorne Icon bearer from the Age of Sigmar box game set.  Once the model all varnish this will get a lot of Blood for the Blood God added.

The Assassin added as a Trophie.  Quick bit on this.  I bought the Assassin game when it was release as the new model where cool, but selling off the Chaos side.  I was aim to use my own Iron Warriors, Cultist & Sorcerer, use this as a way to help build up some cool theme & background to my Sorcerer that I converted up on 2014/last year.

So though be cool to have this as a "what happen" to the Assassins strike force that where sent to take down my Sorcerer in Terminator armour.

 

I'll add green stuff to the right arm & legs to show it as torn up.

Eddie Blood Angel Dreadnought (From Games Workshop what new today blog during Throne of Skulls 2011) that I commented about in my last update.

Rebase to 32mm base.  As said for past while.  One of my aims where to rebase my Power Armour models from my Iron Warriors.  They look cool.

So here the first lot since getting the rebase done during last week/start of my Christmas holidays.

 

Sorcerer Krull.  Krull was converted & painted back in 2012, carry on his glory.  The orignaly Krull model (shown in past updates) has been a big part of my Grand Company over the years collecting my Iron Warriors.

Champion Uzas Vel.  I need to try get him & his unit back into some games as it has been a while.  Uzas Vel seem to get really good boon rolls as well.

Squad Be Graphicus, along with Champion Uzas Vel.  Built & painted during this time back in 2011.  Again a old squad name that been in all my version of my 5th Grand Company over the years of collecting the IV Legion.

I'm aim on spending tomorrow to try get as much hobby painted as possible.  As the next few days/week going to be really busy.  So tomorrow going to be spent painting up the brand new Dreadnought.  Try & finish painting the Juggernaut Lord so he ready to get varnish.  I'm also going to paint the 32mm base for my Iron Havoc unit I converted up last year with the assault cannon.

 

If I get time later one, I want to get squad Apocalypse led by Champion Kroege Santarr 32mm base painted.  Another Veteran of the 5th Grand Company since 2001.

Thanks Hydra.  Yes siunce useing the axe on my Bloodborn Khorne unit for Call of Chaos, want to try use that part on a few more future conversion.  It really cool & same with the weapons from the Khorne models release back in April? - see my Khorne Berzerker unit converted up back then.

Got a little bit of free time to paint up the Chaos Dreadnought today.  There still a bit more to paint, so hopeful get the new Dreadnought finish for next week along with the Juggernaut Lord.

Project rebase - Just spent a few hour there (7pm-9pm?) painting up the base for the current lot of models on 32mm base while watching few great movies on TV.

Apocalypse led by Champion Kroege Santarr.  Like squad Be Graphicus led by Champion Uzas Vel.  This unit has been a big part of my Iron Warrior history since 2001.  With this version of the unit built just around Christmas time 2011 when I got the Chaos battle force box set.

With this lot nearly finish - Just need to re-spray varnish to seal the sand/base.  Also got tuft grass to add onto the base before this is done as well.

 

Then it just 2x Havoc units (see below).  There the unit of Fallen Angels & then two units of Chosen I think are all that left to get move onto the 32mm base.  As well as a few HQ chose like my Warpsmiths.  I also need to try get around & buy another finecast Warpsmith model in the future.

Somehow missed this update mate. Everything's looking great, love the dreadnought especially the assassin trophy. Jugger lords looking awesome as well, love the colour scheme. Will you be adding a trophies to the Jugger Lord as well? Rest of the army is always impressive

Quick update.

 

Christmas has been & gone now until another year :sad.:  Hobby wise I got a box of Chaos Space Marines along with Rhino & Forge World IW doors.  Along with a few paint brush & shade/wash & medium.

The Chaos Marine squad going to be converted up & theme around those who made it through Forgefane.  Forgefane was a Iron Warrior planet that was over ran by Nids with the Warsmith eaten by a Trygon & the Grand Company taken heavy loss.  Background for this can be found in the White Dwarf when the Trygon was orignaly release & bit more on Armour 13 Lost & the Damned.  So idea this unit was pick up by my own 5th Grand Company.

This also came about when I was that the Warhammer 40,000 open day that Warhammer World back in October.  They had a lot cool armies on display & once of these was a Salamander force that led to the idea along with the Forgefane background.

I'm aim on painting these three models on Wed along with trying to get the Dreadnought & Juggernaut lord fully painted.  I've got another few Battle Brother to add to this unit.  I think bring this squad up to 7 models along with there Rhino transport.

 

I've got a week & a half now left of my holidays.  I want to try get a few days kept aside for the hobby & most of all get those last few units onto there 32mm base.  Current lot are almost there, it mainly been down to trying to varnish the new base which has been a bit difficult with the weather.  Also just how busy the past few days have been as well.

I think right now I've just got my unit of Fallen Angels, Chosen I built for last year Call of Chaos, unit of Chosen I added to my army back in 2012 & a few HQ's.

 

Also got money from few family memeber for Christmas.  I'm not quite sure what to get

  • Knight:  Get my Chaos Knight army ready that 1850pts.  But I might wait until March when I take a week/time off to get this done & gather the parts.  I've still lock down on a idea for the model which will be the Close Combat version.
  • Chaos Marines:  Get the following unit finish sooner & other boxies for parts toward the conversion.  I've got Champion, Heavy Bolter, Melta & one more Battle Brother to add to this unit.
  • Chaos Terminators:  Idea for Throne of Skulls March.  Same time I really, really wish Forge World release the Siege Tyrant Terminators models, would like to see what they are like & convert/theme as Chaos era version of them.

Also pick up this lot today with Christmas money I got during the past few days.  I ended up rolling a dice (1-2: Knight, 3-4 Chaos Marines, 5-6 Terminators).  So I'll get my Forgefane unit push forward.  I've also just place a order with Bitz Box for Heavy Bolter, pockets & spotted they had the Honour Guard helmets from Forge World in stock as well to help build up the last few Battle Brother I need for this unit.  I'll go for 7 models in this unit.

 

Then Assassin once more for the base.  While the Assassin's might get built as he is a cool model.

Models still waiting to get painted.  I was hoping to go to my local store yesterday & get some painting & little space.  But ended up not been to great with a headache on Tuesday follow by no sleep during the night due to recent bad storms.  But I'll hopeful get them painted next week or possible try get Saturday kept aside to get the Juggernaut Lord finish painted.

I also found this Terminator today, not sure what happen.  But I'm going to get him a brand new base built up & get him painted same time as the rebase 32mm for the models above.  I'll also add some new trophies to the Terminator Battle Brother.

Quick update

 

Pick up this lot during the weekend from my local Warhammer Store.  The Terminators just to bulk out my current unit so I've got a Battle Brother who carry the twin linked Autocannon.  I'll need to get another Autocannon Terminator converted up for the unit I'd built last year for ETL.

Bag of parts just few things kept aside for this new Terminator Battle Brother.  Still a few trophies to get & he will be ready to join Lord Narach Terminator bodyguard unit.

Juggernaut Lord - Sadly I've not been able to varnish the model as it been pretty bad with the weather over the past 6 days as it pretty much been a none stop storm with heavy rain & winds.  But once he varnish just allow me to add finial part like Blood for the Blood god & just few other parts.

So tomorrow I'm aim on getting all current units new 32mm base all painted.  Then once the weather a bit better hopeful in the next few days/week, try get them all varnish & re-add the Games Workshop water effect.

I've also still got my Dreadnought to get painted, so that will ether get painted some point tomorrow, Friday or during the weekend before my Christmas holidays finish.

 

I also need to start planning out for Throne of Skulls March.

Quick update.

 

Spent today painting up a few memeber of the Forgefane unit today & painting up the Dreadnought I started back on the 24th.  I'll get these three models & hopeful the Dreadnought finish painted by the weekend just before my holidays finish up.

Keep the other current two models for next week.  Also hopeful get there Rhino Transport built during the weekend so that ready for painting next Wed as well.

I'm wanting to try get the models varnish but it all depend on the weather right now as it been pretty stormy over the past week.  Though today not been to bad, just not great for getting models varnish.  So they may need to wait until later for that along with the recent 32mm rebase models.

 

As said there spent a little time painting the Dreadnought.  I'm going to set some time aside to paint him ether tomorrow or later on Friday afternoon.  I'll also need to work out what transfer I want to use & what I have left from the FW Iron Warriors sheets.  Also a friend just give me the transfer sheet from the Horus Heresy box game today which was cool.  So maybe use a few of the letter/rune.  Also still got to add a bit green stuff to the Assassin trophie to show the cloth rip/torn.

I've got a game this week, first game of the year.  Not sure if my friend going to use Salamander or Mechanicus.  But going to use the Vindicator I painted last year, given the model it first game.  I'm thinking useing the Maulerfiend, just I don't use them that often (nothing against them) so want to try get a few games with the model.  I think I have 105pts left so see what I can work out & look that a few models I've not use in a while.

Also my order from Bitzbox arrive.  Just parts for the Champion & Heavy Bolter battle brother for the forgefane unit.  I just need a few more parts before I can convert up the two models.  Also got one of the daemonic axe from the Age of Sigmar Khorne models kept to one side for the Champion.

Then it to build that Autocannon Terminator soon as well & also gather part for another Autocannon arm Terminator for the unit I built & painted last year for the ETL.

Just spent a hour & a bit converting up the Autocannon Terminator yesterday.  I really like how he turn out & hopeful get him painted during the week.  Just need to get green stuff added to the mechanicus trophie.

Mange to get this Necromunda model recently.  I did have the model a while back but he seem to have gone missing when moving house a few year ago which is a shame.  I was going to add the model to my Chaos Guard/Cultist.

On that note - since speicl (sp?) games are been brought back.  I'm really looking forward & hopeing Battelfleet Gothic return.  Also Necromunda so I can use a few of the models in my Chaos Guard, really wanting the Pit Slaves to get brand new plastic models.  So see how that goes in the next few years?

Just a quick update.

 

Spent today painting the Autocannon Terminator & two Battle Brother for the Forgefane unit.  Should have the models fully painted by the weekend.

I've really enjoy convert the Autocannon Terminator.  Just need to get one built for Lord Narach unit of Terminator bodyguards & get that sorted in the next few weeks.

Also just got a bitz order in the post today.  10x more of the Armour loin cloth.  Pretty much one of the importat bitz I need for my Iron Warriors.  5x of those will go toward the new Terminator unit I'll get built near Feburary.  While single one will be kept for the Autocannon Terminator for Lord Narach unit.  I just need one more for the Champion of the Forgefane unit.

The rest, I want to try add a few more models to the Raptor unit that was built last year as they where fun & where really cool.  I might use the other 5x to possible build a unit of Possessed Iron Warriors, with the theme of them just starting to go down the Obliterator virus path but want to wait until I work that one out.

I've got a game with Mechanicus this week as well.  I'm wanting to try use the Maulerfiend again.  One idea was possible use both of them along side my Chaos Knight, but same time it does mean dropping my Obliterators & they are one my favrout units & mean having little range fire power.  So see what happen, I don't want to taloir my army, never really been keen on doing that or having it done to myself (my past experince has been again people who desperate want to win there games) unless it a good reason like a campaign/theme game or my friend want to test out/see how a unit does.  It just more due to never really useing these models as much & enjoy useing the single Fiend in last week game.

So this weekend just to get the Terminator & two Forgefane model painted.  The Rhino almost ready for building during the weekend as well & I should hopeful get the Champion & Heavy Bolter models for the Forgefane unit bought & built ready to get painted for next week :biggrin.:

I am also looking at your latest dread and now cannot help but want to copy that build to make a Contemptor dread.

Thanks Hushrong.  I was meant to get a unbound game last week vs my friend Orks, while I use my Dreadnought by diffrent formastion, Armour 13: Lost & the Damned units & standard Dreadnought from codex Chaos.  But sadily never went forward due to there work/time change.  But hopeful get that arrange soon.

 

Quick update.

 

Got the new Autocannon Terminator painted during the weekend.  I'm now waiting to varnish the model, but as before waiting for the weather to get a little bit better - yesterday saw some heavy snow which thankful not stay around.  But it meant to be ok by next weekend so get him & all those units that where rebase.

Also spent yesterday painting the two models for the unit along with the Terminator w/Autocannon.  But as said there, I'm just waiting to varnish the models.

I'm aim to try get the Champion built tomorrow, some parts arrive but I need to get to the post office to pick them up.  I've got a rough idea & really looking forward getting the Champion built & ready for painting this week along with the Heavy Bolter model.  Also still need to try get around to building there Rhino transport.

Also while not Iron Warriors.  Trying to get a unit of Grey Hunter built & to push forward to getting my Space Wolves force back up & running & bit more updated.  If I can get this done, I'll hopeful get my Space Wolf army log back up & running - been a year since it last update.

Just want to throw in that as much as I like the models, the basing is absolutely fantastic. Really love the effects on the base of the Terminator with the rust and Oxide, they help bring the model to life :)

Quick update

 

Thanks to Hydra for the assassin base part which arrive today.  Along with bit order arrive meant I could get the Champion of the Forgefane unit built today & ready for undercaoting tomorrow along with the Heavy Bolter model so both model can get painted this week.
