Again, excellent work on the Kytan! I also have a soft spot for those ancient plastic 'zerkers: They do have some very obvious shortcomings, but I still think the helmet design is one of the best berzerker helmet designs ever! And that standard bearer, even though he's a little two-dimensional, is just a classic. Looking forward to seeing your take on those models!

 

Sorry KrautScientist just saw the post there.  Yes, as said there the clip to-gether Khorne Berzerker where the bulk of my Black Legion force when collecting them.  Then later seen the multi part models when they where release, converted with the 3rd ed Tactical Marines & later the Chaos Marine bikers.

 

I'm looking forward getting these classic models during the week.  I'm also going to keep a eye out for any more as there a local wargaming event happen soon. 

It can sort be hit & miss with classic models on sale that the bring & buy.  Then again last year saw me getting 2x 2nd ed era Metal Dreadnoughts, never built or been painted

Yes I'm really looking forward to the Iron Circle models been release.  I'd also like to try buy one to convert with Contemptor (sp?) Dreadnought for a sort of siege breacher theme with the shield.

Pick up my advance order Imperial Knight Renegade during the weekend.

So right now aim

 

1x Chaos Knight Paladin w/Mark of Khorne.

1x Renegade Knight.  Not sure if I'll go with the double Battle Cannons or the 2x S6 12 shot weapon.

 

I'm thinking taken idea from the Warhound titan from the Black Library novel horus heresy betrayer.  So try convert the hull Missile launcher to try have harpoon useing the spear from the Age of Sigmar Ogre range.

I'll also get a few of the hull weapon I've got spare built up so those chose are there for me to use from game to game.

Update

 

Got the classic Khorne Berzerker on Thursday there.  I'm really looking forward to painting them.  I'm also hoping that a local wargaming show next weekend, that there maybe a few more of these models on sale/kicking about.  As said last year I mange to pick up 2x metal Chaos Dreadnought with no glue or paint on them that all.  So see what happen.

Kytan all finish. Just added blue glaze mix with medium, along with typhus & sepia shade to try give heat effect on the weapon/left arm.  I'll try get around & do that to the Lord of Skulls model as well as adding the soot weather powder.

It look like I maybe seen that least one of the new Iron Circle models been pick up for me that Warhammer Fest in two week time.  Gaming wise he will ether be a Chaos Contemptor Dreadnought or few friends will be ok with me useing there Heresy rules.

Thurd unit of Bloodletter I've been painting during this week.  I've still got Chaos rune to add to the hellblades.  The fourth unit currently been built so they can get painted this week.
For my Daemonkin force right now I'm aim on useing the formastion from the Bloodoath book where all my daemon units get to return on a 4+ each time there wipe out.  They will be supported by a few Soul Grinder & led by one of my Bloodthister I painted last year.

So I just need one more box of Bloodletter & another Khorne Daemon Battle force for this 1850pts force.  Then start adding the Chaos Marine side.  The classic Khorne Berzerker shown above will be added to my Daemonkin warband.

 

I've also got next Sunday & Monday off.  So I'm hoping to get some models finish on Monday like the second Dune walker (?) for my Dark Mechanicus as it still need it base painted.  There also the Raptors I shown a while back who where been added to the unit that where built & painted last year.  So it just get them varnish & glue onto there flying stands.

It the Iron Circle painted by Forge World shown both there & Warhammer World facebook page as he will be pre-release that Warhammer Fest.  There the Lord of Iron bodyguard in the Horus Heresy Angels Exterminatius novel.  He has 9 as his own bodyguard.  Recent background suggest that some of the command with in the Legion also got sent one to a few as bodyguards as well.

 

Just posted that, as it look cool & as said few my friends are going to Warhammer Fest in two week time & said they are going to try pick up that least one of these models for me.

 

Midnight Runner - Yes, just with the recent trailer led up to season 6 Game of Thrones.  Then when you see the preview for tomorrow (UK) ep of Game of Thrones.  Just that what the Kytan remind me off.  Don't worry I'll have his name sorted soon.

Update

 

Been a little busy.  During the weekend was local wargaming show Carronade.  Sadily didn't see or get to much, just a few chosen models, some from Bio & a few friend friends selling that the bring & buy.  When last year I mange to pick up two of the 2nd ed era Metal Chaos Dreadnought :D

 

But does mean I'm getting two Iron Circle models this weekend from Warhamer Fest.  One of my friends is already travel to the event & going to keep me updated on this.

 

I've recently went back to my Dark Mechanicus.  I want to get them finish off to 1850pts, it will be a while.  But though I spend Wed there just paint models I've currently had but not finished painting yet.

Also just had my second game with my Chaos Guard force against my friend brand new Space Wolves drop pod force.  So though I'd take the time get some photos of the Chaos guards just before the game started.

 

Chaos Guards where a on/off army during 2012 up until last year.  Just got to the stage I wanted to get the army to 1850pts & ready for gaming, useing Call of Chaos to help with a deadline.  Other wise I don't think this army would ever gotten any further. 
I've recently went back to add a few bit of detail to the Tanks.  I'm also possible going to try spend the weekend adding some transfer to the Tanks from both Chaos & Mechanichs sheets.  Try help add that theme of this force been from a Forge World base planet in civial (sp?) war, with my Iron Warriors end up over taken & taken over the planet.

I'm planning on adding the FW Death Korp Rough Rider models & a few Hellhound to this force in the near future.

 

Also got another 10 plastic 2nd ed era Khorne Berzerker on the way, they should hopeful arrive tomorrow.  They will be join the other five I got a few weeks ago in ETL.

I'm also currently getting the Black Legion force built for my friend to use in a few local tournament, useing Battle of Calth models.  They will also be part of my ETL vow's when the event start this weekend.

Khorne Berzerker next to current Daemonkin Battle Brother.  As said in past update, the Berzerker will be part of my new Daemonkin force I'm current collecting.  I'll also have other Berzerker converted up in the future useing Age of Sigmar parts.  While the standard Chaos Marines will be the same as the painted Battle Brother shown in the photo.

I spent Saturday afternoon adding transfer to my Chaos Guards tanks.  I'm going to leave them clean looking & as a sort of contrast.  I've went with the Mark of Khorne with my Iron Warriors force been Khorne heavy.  As well as adding Mechanicus transfer.

It been good going back to the Chaos Guards.  There still a few things I need to finish painting on the models.  With a lot of stuff already built now, like the Khorne Berzerker.  I'll try spend a few hours here & there on Friday to Sunday just painting those part of the Chaos Guard force.  Use my game next week as the deadline, where they will be battle against my friends Ork army.

 

I'm looking forward to painting the Black Legion force.  It been fun building them.  I think all I've got left is Abaddon, 2x Rhinos, Land Raider, Dreadnought & a Heldrake.

 

Also my friend mange to pick up the Iron Circle models for me on Sunday?  That Warhammer Fest.  I should be getting them tomorrow.  I've seen a few photos of them already been built & they look really cool.
Also seen all the stuff on Warhammer Fest was really cool.  I want to add the Moritats model to my Iron Warriors or use him as a Warpsmith for my Black Legion force.  Then there the Iron Warrior dice which are meant to be release pretty soon, so going to stock up on them for my games :D

Update

 

Spent a bit of today painting up the 2nd ed era Khorne Berzerker models.  I can't quite rememeber how I painted the World Eater to the left for my Bloodborn unit & why it really helpful to write down note.
For the Khorne Berzerker I've use the Mephiston red spray with brown shade, sepia & then brown shade again before highlight.

There still a lot to get done & I'm hoping to possible get transfer added tomorrow during lunch time.  Not quite sure what I will do for the Chainsword, feel like somthing need to be done.  I'll have a quick look that the Forge World Horus Heresy book 1 see if there any scripe/letter for the World Eaters.

Also pick up this lot from my friends attending Warhammer Fest.  From what I've seen on facebook, seem to been 40 sold on Saturday & 40 sold on Sunday.

There really cool models & looking that the guide, it sorted a few worry I had.  For exsample I was unsure if I should glue the mask on or paint it seprate but so far it look really easy to paint it seprate & glue onto the model later with out anything blocking it.

I'm hoping to possible get these two models built on Friday afternoon.  If all goes to plan I'm aim on take Friday as a quick day off.  I just need to see if I've got enough spare Marine parts to add a Templars to the base.

 

Also I've recently been thinking about adding a Dreadclaw to my Iron Warriors.  Not sure why beyound one my friends talk about this recently & asking why I've not got one.  Possible have a unit of Chosen.  Seen the Warhammer World display with the Forge World model, it does look cool.
So maybe go with a unit of Chosen with 4x Melta, Champion with Combi Melta & Power Fist?  Maybe a little while, but aim to try get this done soon just give me chose & I think it'll be cool.

Took today off.  Part this was to get to Edinbrugh to get a few things, like going to the model store near by Edinbrugh castle to pick up plastic H beams & tubes.  Just try get stuff done before tourist season kick off in the next few weeks.

 

While this afternoon was spent building the Iron Circle models.  I just need to add the ammo & wire to the models, that will get done tomorrow as well as clean any mold line & any flash.
Then they will be painted next week.

They are easy to post.  It just the legs, while they are multi parts they are in the same pose with the left leg forward.  But things like the Hammer weapon you can easily change as it does comment about cutting parts off.  You could have a Iron Circle holding the shield a bit more closer like there just gone into a fire fight.

 

If I could, I'd like to get another one since Iron Warriors have a sacred number of 3 - Index Astarties & commented here & there in Angels Exterminatis novel by Graham McNeill.

 

Both models have just been undercoated today & the metal armour painted.

I'm aim get a update on Tuesday & also hopeful show some Black Legion as I should be painting the first unit tomorrow.

Update

 

It been some week.  Last Tuesday my lap top chose to not work quite right.  But after waiting a week, it been fix, the broke part replace.

 

So during the week there I've been getting the new Iron Circle models painted.  There really great models to build & paint.  I'd like to get that least another one or two of these models in the near future.

 

Just quick note - These are for my Chaos era Iron Warriors.  I still see the Iron Circle kicking about in the 40k era as much as other tanks & wargear are seen.  In games they will ether be Contemptor Dreadnoughts or against friends useing there Heresy rules as end of the day they know me as a oppent & know I just want to add cool models more than anything else.  I've been looking forward to the release of the Iron Circle models since they where first annouce that the start of the year.

So that it for now.  Just I'm not wanting to try upload to much for the moment.  But I'm aim to try get another update soon on

- 2nd ed era Khorne Berzerker.  So far I've only got five models painted, but still add a few things.  While the other ten plastic Berzerker are going to get undercaoted tomorrow.

- Black Legion:  The Black Legion force I'm painting for my friends & vow toward ETL are getting there.  Right now I'm painting in a diffrent mind set than I would with my Iron Warriors, with the dead line I've got to complete them.  So right now it just trying spend past few days getting a lot base coating painted.  Then focuse on the squads once that all done with detail.

Oh yeah I love the Iron Circle. I was hopeful hoping to see you paint these guys. The shields look great, that centre space was screaming for something like you have done and not just standard hazard stripes like FW did.
