Yeah, that's one of my favorite blogs on the Internet, alongside Iron Sleet. I believe the guy who runs it is actually one of GW's current model designers, and there's a few other people who also post really awesome stuff, including that one guy with the awesome Emperor's Children army with those lovely Obliterators. Here the new Daemon Prince for that all important boon roll & getting him ready for my gaming club event this weekend.  I just need to add soot weather powder, so hopeful get a spare moment tomorrow to get that done as well as adding Blood for the Blood God here & there.

 

The Salamander trophy is going to be base on the Salamander force I fought during Throne of Skulls Sept last month.

Then the next Daemon Prince for this weekend event.  As said in the last update.  This model was inspired by a really cool conversion I saw during Warhammer World 40k open day last year.

I'm just waiting on Chaos Knight shield to arrive & Maulerfiend pads.  I'm going to get the model base tomorrow & add any last moment stuff to the model.  Then with the Space Marine army I'm painting for a friend near complete (be finish tomorrow) for the same event.  It going allow me Wed - Friday to get this model painted.

I'm going to try & build another Daemon prince in the near future.  Just I want to try convert a Daemon Prince with a Dreadnought, sort like M'kar art work from the limited ed Iron Warrior novel as part of Warsmith Honsou serise.  So try get the finecast Daemon prince again & try get the model converted up before my next Throne of Skulls event next year.

 

Got some paint on the Knights.  I was hoping to have a bit more painting done by now but it been pretty chaotic that the moment.  Like next week going to see a lot of work been done to the house, mean from Monday all my hobby stuff like painting stastion, paints, all my models will need to be put into boxies & storage.  But once the work to the house is all done, it hopeful mean bit more time & get back on track with the hobby.

After next week.  I really want to push forward & start painting the Dreadclaw.  I'm most like going to try cut some of the legs parts & model it onto the base rep it landing.  Use green stuff to build up the ground around the Dreadclaw.

Forgot to say - In the last update, the Horus Heresy MkIV models where bought for my Daemonkin force.  I've got the FW upgrade set waiting there to use toward this unit.  So they will also get built on the Monday off in two week, along side my second Deathwatch unit - see Space Wolves army log for that.

Update

 

Just spent the weekend that my local wargaming club yearly tournament.  Aim for this year was to take Traitor Hate & just try out the formation as I've never really use them before.  Originally I was also going to use the Vindicators in a allies detachment & have them in one squad, again wanting to use a new update & I've been wanting to add a third Vindicator to my Iron Warriors for a little while know we'd get Chaos tanks in squads in the near future.   While I did enjoy useing the army during the weekend, I did miss useing 10 Chaos Marines squads, but it was really difficult to try get everything I wanted :(  Unless it 3000pts :D

 

It was also nice not to see a single Eldar Warp Spider list kicking about.  Just don't find that or Screamer Council Daemons any fun to game against & will flat out refuse games against.

 

But anyway - Here my force.  My Iron Warriors got second best army which I'm really happy with.  There was a lot of really cool armies on display & that what I prefer to see.  The Nurgle Chaos army (see below) that won over all best army was really cool with all conversion & painting.  Same with a Ravenwing force that got me thinking about trying find time to get my own Ravenwing force up to date as well as get some photos taken.
There also a really cool Tau army in white armour, inspired by the Games Workshop studio version, the person also have a really cool Khorne, Necrons & a few other armies in the past.

The third Daemon Prince incase of any boons.  He was just painted from 11am - 8.30pm on the Friday before the event, with the Water Effect still drying on the Saturday as I just arrive to the event.

As said I wanted to try out formation & with Warband I knew I wanted to get my unit of Bikers.  I want to try get more games with my Bike unit.  Again while it really great & I really enjoy useing the unit, I was gutted not to be able to get a unit of 10 Bikers in the list.  But as said I will get a 3000pt game arrange some point in the next few week or month.

Again with the Warband formation it was nice take my Contemptor Dreadnought model.  Really enjoy useing him in my games.  Round 2 saw him survive against four turns of Plasma Cannons shots, combat vs 10 Sternguard (help with Oblits & Warpsmith), 2x units of Vanguards & a few Drop Pods, defending Object 1 in a Maelstorm mission where I had to hold that object that all cost.

Ravenwing force.  Just all standard Ravenwing Bikers with there Grand Master? & Chaplain.  This army started in 2002 & I belive they have a full Ravenwing company now.  One unit allow about £200 worth of conversion with the older metal Dark Angels Robe models with Cypher converted up as the standard bearer.

Bronn Tal becoming a Daemon Prince.  All us useing Chaos Marines during the weekend had a thing going on with who ever got the most Daemon Prince where the chosen of chaos.  The Nurgle army above got 6 Daemon Prince during the weekend, while I was second with 4 Daemon Prince, two in this game against Marines.

So was a fun weekend.  Next event the charity event ran by DWARF next month.  I'm still waiting on a rule pack to be posted, just so I know what can & can not be take more than anything else.  I might take the list I've just use that Rapid Fire there.  Or I might change it, as I've got a Predator to complete for Call of Chaos & that could give me a deadline to get that done.

 

As well as painting all my Call of Chaos vows.  I'm going to jump back to my Space Wolves force & finial get around to update them as they've waited for ever.  So going to finial get around & order some Forge World doors for four transport I need for my Long Fangs & Blood Claws units.

So right now all of my models are current in boxies, case & going into storage while work happen to the house over the next few days.  So once that all finish & everything put back during the weekend.  I've got Monday off & aim on useing that day to get my Bloodletter all base & ready for painting so I can push forward with my Call of Chaos vows.  Then with Tuesday off, I'm going to try get a bit more painting done for the two Knights from the Renegade set I've had since April.

Kept find Flesh Hound models as well.  Just since the release of the Age of Sigmar box set, a lot of people been given me the Chaos models but forgotten just how many.  So this will help with a unit for my Daemonkin.  Suprise Games Workshop never release them as a box set yet with all the Khorne release both 40k & AoS over the past year alone.

As said before, just my Iron Warriors have been my main army over the years since 2001.  Just always prefer collecting armies that look cool, have really cool looking models & enjoy gaming with.  I'm not a big fan of collecting a army because it the "current" top army list - by this I mean, I find Eldar Warp Spider spam list, deathstar units & Screamer Council list really dull, boring & don't make the game fun that all.

 

Quick update.

First all sorry - just notice photos didn't turn out quite right as they where just taken a few moment ago (9pm).  Once the models are complete try get photos during the day later in the week.

 

Pretty much I had yesterday & today off.  Wanted to try get the back log of models sorted so they can get undercaoted & ready for painting.  Just building side take me a bit longer, but painting models has never been a issue - Throne of Skulls saw unit of Possessed, Rhino, Warpsmith & 2 Maulerfiend painted in space of five days - 48 hour in all.

 

But as well as building few models, also got time to just get a few current model varnish & just need to get last bit painted.

 

My Juggernaut for my Daemonkin force.  Still get around to buying another Battle force box set, which I'm going to try & buy during the Christmas holidays.

No doubt a lot of people have seen Games Workshop new video for the new Heresy box game that up for advance order this weekend.  Needless to say I'm looking forward to this release.

• Most of this box set going toward my Horus Heresy force - a Before (Heresy) & After (Chaos).  Always said if MkIII armour was release in plastic, then I would get a Heresy army collected.  I'm really looking forward to this & they will be added to this army log
• Librarian will be use toward my Black Legion.
• 5 MkIII models are going toward a brand new unit useing the pick weapons from the Genestealer cult.  The Champion will have the Hammer weapon from the Age of Sigmar Varanguard Knights.
• 5 MkIII models/part are going to go toward bring the second unit of Siege Breacher led by Dragoth Uthred

Then the other Razorback (prefer the turret look the Predators have) I just bought today from my local store along side the limited ed Heresy model.  Also got the Heresy box set advance order today as well.

Pick up the comic last Friday from Forbidden Planet, it bit short but it is pretty cool.

Since them, you can see he maybe one of the models who've change the most during those 5 years to this & still battling it out along side his Battle Brother as Bronn Tal unit see to be one of my most trusted unit & taken in the majority of my army list

I've also got a local tournament in a few weeks by DWARF gaming club that for charity.  I'm looking forward to it & it a good event to end the year.  I really enjoy going as there a wide range of armies (no Warp Spider spam or Deathstar hobby destroying list) & a lot friendly & great oppent to game against.  I'm going to take the Traitor Hate force I took to Rapid Fire, but I'm thinking possible swap two Vindicator to two Predators as it has been a while.

So thinking useing the Predator I done last year, I think this was the Predator I built around my week off during March last year.

While I do have another three Predator models.  I've got a Predator as part of my Call of Chaos vow & think of useing Winter War as the deadline to get the model ready for the event & to complete my Call of Chaos vow.  I'm going to pick up the Predator tank from my local store this week.  I think I might use some part from the Horus heresy box set release this weekend for the crew memeber.
 

Also as said few week ago work was going on with my house.  I've been trying to sort out & re-organize a lot of stuff & one of them was to get the Limited ed Iron Warrior art work & other poster I've gotten onto the wall.

Thanks Bio.  Yes I'm really enjoy painting the Bloodletter, while highlight them does sort get to you.  It just really nice seen everything pull together once the finial shade stage done with the Agrax Earthshade & then sepia both heavy mix with medium.  I think I just need two Soul Grinder & a unit of Bloodcrusher to get few games with my Daemonkin Daemon side of the list useing the Warhammer World book base on there Chaos vs Ultramarine display.

 

Was hoping to get a update for today.  But sadily some things, like the shades taken a lot longer to dry meant I was not table to get my Predator built today.  Or same, some paints seem be taken a little while to dry on the Bloodletter models I've been painting during today.

So that will get done tomorrow.

But for the time being...............

 

Pick this up today   I've trade the Terminators with one friend & sold the Sister of Silence to another friend who want to convert a honour guard for the living saint in there Sister of Battle army.

So with the Terminators, I got another 20 MkIII Marines.  While selling the Sister of Silence models allow me to order a few Iron Warriors shoulder pads from Forge World yesterday.

Not all the spure, but show there 50 MkIII models.  So as said before my aim is

 

• Use some part to create a 5 Chaos Marine unit, useing pick from the Genestealer cult models.  I want this unit to be the once trusted with the most important work when that all important bunker or trench need built or to protect the artillery .  There able to get the work done pretty fast rate.
• Use part toward 5 Chaos Marines to bring the second Siege Breaches get the unit to 10 models.
• Then rest, should still have enough to built 50 models.  They will go toward my Heresy army, before version of my Iron Warriors.  Which can be seen above in a very blurry photo of Bronn Tal.

Also this just arrive today.  I enter Armies on Parade a few week ago as I think it a really great event.  This year I enter with the same board from 2012 & then fix it last year.  Entering to support Armies on Parade event & over the past few years there been a lot of great board & armies all around the UK.

 

The really cool Nurgle Chaos army from Rapid Fire got first place.  While a really cool Space Wolf army came 3rd.  I think this was followed by another nice Nurgle Chaos Army & a Age of Sigmar force.  With lot of other really cool entry.

One of my friend suggested about maybe look into useing my Army of Parade board to get my gaming table sorted.  I bought the plastic Games Workshop gaming table a few year back before I moved house.  But it just been sitting there & not done much.  But after few week ago with the work to the home finish.  It look like there space to try set up gaming table.

 

I've got a few idea & I think having a really cool gaming table with cool terrain just as important as the models & armies we collect.  I've always been inspired by a lot of Armies on Parade display over the years, my local Games Workshop store & Warhammer world for the board & terrain use on them.

It also because I've been aim to try get more games over the past few years since moving home three year ago.

Also just order two set of the new Iron Warrior dice from Forge World.  I'm really looking forward to these.  I've got a lot dice I use in games.  From standard Black & Red dice from Games Workshop, to Battle Fleet Gothic dice rep run, flee, pin, the old 4th ed tank damage dice & then a lot of dice I've gotten from local wargaming clubs when I attend there tournament.

So tomorrow I'm going to try get the Predator built, along side the other models.  Just gutted a few thing like painted & shade taken agies to dry slow down progress.

So my Call of Chaos models are getting there.  When I start paint that never a issue.  I just need to pick up a Rhino for my Daemonkin unit & get them built.

So next week I've got a local tournament for charity ran by the DWARF gaming club.  I'm really looking forward to it as I've always had some great games, met lot really great people & it a wide range of diffrent armies & army list.

 

I though I'd get a new Predator painted for the event & also because I already have one vow for Call of Chaos.  Since I'd already had four Predator before, I want to (overall collection) to make them into squad/units thanks to the Traitor Hate book.  So making this one as sort of the commander, champion of one of the two units.  I also wanted to use some of the new plastic MkIII model

Was hoping have the Predator spray with Leadbelcher spray today.  But the Black undercaot was taken a while to dry before it got to late.  So get that done tomorrow.  Then try paint this model over the next few days so it ready for next Saturday.
While Warsmith Abhorred Riddick need fix & a few chip parts painted.  The bags all have MkIII part built just help out when I get around to build the models near my holidays.

Then box of models - Bit more painting done.  The second unit of Bloodletter is pretty much there.  Them & the first unit still need Chaos rune painted on the blade & few other finial part.  But there nearly complete.  Then this week & next week all about painting the finial 10 Bloodletter + the lone Bloodletter with Icon.  Then that a big part of my Call of Chaos vow painted.

I've got next Sunday off as well, which is going to be spent building the Daemonkin Marines.  I still need to buy a rhino transport for this unit & last thing to buy for my Call of Chaos vow.

Update

 

So during Saturday there, DWARF held it yearly charity tournament Winter War.  But sadily I ended up not been able to make it.  I've been really ill since last Saturday & it been pretty bad during the week.  It only been yesterday that I was able to get some hobby done, first time during this & it really help as I was getting really tired & fed up off how bad TV really is from barely anything been on or program I like shown repeat of a Ep I've already seen for the millionth time.

 

So it been pretty frustrating & I am really gutted to miss out on the tournament on Saturday, really wanted to use those new Iron Warriors dice & just get a day of gaming with the Traitor Hate book.  But just happy been ok enough yesterday to get some painting done & here how the Predator looking.

I might add a Mechanicus trophy onto the Predator.  Same if I'm able to find the Dark Eldar Wrack spure, still trying to sort out things since the house had gas heating & general work been done last month.

Just need to get the Champion model, but I need to try find some of the Age of Sigmar Chaos spure for the weapon I want for the Champion.

Then the Daemonkin test model I painted last year (left) next to one of the new models, just wanting to try out the Mephiston Red spray to help speed up thing.  Just see what they both look like, slight change in the red.

Then spent a little bit of time today finial pushing forward with the Dreadclaw.  I want the Dreadclaw to look as though it crach into the ground, so need to try add few layer of green stuff.  Then I want to use a lot of the Forge World soot weather powder really try to show the pod as been really burnt.  Look that the Warhammer World Chaos vs Ultramarine display for a lot of idea with the amount Dreadclaw models in the Daemonkin side.

 

I'm hoping to get to my local Games Workshop store this week & get few pack of green stuff to try build this up.

I might get another Dreadclaw in the future, I'd like to get one to transport Helbrute about or maybe my Contemptor.  But right now just wanting to get this Dreadclaw ready for painting & maybe try get a few games during the holidays with the new unit of Melta arm Chosen.

 

I just need to try pick up the Rhino for my Daemonkin Marines, then that everything there for my Call of Chaos vows.  With a month & a day left.  I am getting there, but feel like a lot been getting in the way.

I want to try & get the second Renegade Knight painted during this week.  Try get him to the stage that both him & the first Renegade Knight are both ready for varnish.

My Bloodletter are getting there.  I'm hoping to get some painting done to half the third squad during this week.  I'm going to try spend this Sunday to get a lot models varnish & I think I've just for Chaos rune to paint on the Bloodletter blades as well.
