DA Dice Commitment Time

Belial 212, that's good news I was genuinely starting to worry that something had happened to him.

The offer still stands, I'm more than happy to be a single point of contact for the UK/Europe guys if it helps speed things up and distribute when they arrive. I've got a pretty quiet month so can get them turned around quickly.

I chatted with Paul last night briefly. He's had some computer issues and been insanely busy. He says he'll post an update for us in the next few days.

Good enough for me :P

I dropped him an e-mail a few days ago and haven't got a reply...but its good to know some knows he's alive :)

Question is...will I have my dice before the new codex, whenever that might be? :P

Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay. My 3 year old dumped his juice into my computer and I just got back up and running last week.

I sat down tonight to finish these all up (customs and what not) and the online customs form is broken... I'm going to have to do them by hand. Means I'm goign to the post office tomorrow to get the paper forms and will work on this. Was hoping to ship tomorrow but I won't have time to do all the forms and ship.

I will make time next week to do forms and will ship the weekend after.

My sincerest apologies to my foreign brethren for all the delays.

Paul

Hey Paul,

That sucks that you have to fill all the customs forms out manually. I know I'm not alone in expressing how much we appreciate all the trouble you're going to on our behalf. Those dice will totally be worth it! Are you going to be able to ship anytime soon?

Dan/Belial212

I just cant believe how hard US postage appears to be, here in the dark ages we walk into a postshop with an addressed envelope/package, give them money, they put a customs sticker on it and post it. Done

Sorry Paul, getting a little restless, two months have gone by and I'm itching to try them out.

Cheers

Stobz

International shipping through USPS is a nightmare.

When I got to the post office to start shipping these last saturday, I didn't have enough copies of the customs declaration and as such, couldn't ship them. Got punted. I hate USPS, and I can't wait till it goes the way of the dodo.

I'm spending the evening re-doing all the customs declarations. This has become a snowballing nightmare and I can't wait till it's done. I'll ship as many as I have corrected tomorrow and post a list of who's have left my hands when finished. The rest will be pending.

Patience is appreciated and I know excuses are becoming annoying, but I am trying.

Paul

Now sure what you are doing Paul, but you just need to fill out a simple customs form that is then stuck on to the Priority Mail box. Each form (THIS is the one you should be using) requires the following info:

1. Your address.

2. Address the package is being shipped to.

3. Simple description of items in package, their weight, and cost (e.g. 120 dice / 1 lb. / $100)- there is a little chart to fill in that info on.

4. Purpose of package- check "Gift" so that the people don't get gigged for customs fees for no reason!

5. Your signature verifying the contents /info is correct.

The forms have multiple sheets. DO NOT TEAR ANY OF THEM OFF. The postal worker will do that. There needs to be one of these forms for each International package. It takes less than a minute to fill each one out, if you have your info handy. I do not recommend filling out 65 of them, one after the other, as fast as you can, at the post office, so that you can get them mailed before it closes, like I did last time around- my hand was twitching for the rest of the day! :( So, fill the forms out, stick them on the boxes, and bring them to the post office. If you are not sure where to stick the forms on the boxes, wait until you get the post office and the postal worker will tell you where to put them. They should also give you an itemized receipt which will show every address that you shipped packages to. I've used USPS twice now for dice orders, and they have been great each time. If you think you won't have to do any this stuff suing UPS, FedEx, etc., you are fooling yourself. As I found out myself, the problem isn't with the USPS system, it is with dumbarse people who don't know how to use their very smoothly operating system. That used to be me. Now it is you. ;) Once you learn what you need to do, and do it a few times, it turns out that it is really easy.

Paul, this is a massive undertaking you have taken on for the good of the DAs.

Yes it has been plagued by a few delays but such is life!

I would just like to add my appreciation for your hard work.

I'll ship as many as I have corrected tomorrow and post a list of who's have left my hands when finished.

Hope I'm on it :)

Well,

The form that they had me fill out this time was again incorrect. Despite what their website even says, it's still wrong.

Going for the 3rd round of forms now.

To all you american posters. Call your Congressmen and Senators. Shut the post office down and lets get something in there that works please! :(

Paul

Never thought USPS was that awful, it's so much easier in Latvia, you just write down the address and a nice lady does the rest for you :) . Nevertheless, thanks for your effort, Paul.

Gotta post some ingame photos with them, when they'll arrive.

USPS is a terrible entity that needs to be replaced. Most of the people have no idea what they are doing and if they do they act like it's your fault for not knowing what to do. Oh we lost your package? Oh well that's not our fault and it has no insurance because there was only a few dollars worth of items in there. Better luck next time! <_<

:D Long live USPS....

Going for the 3rd round of forms now.

Did you manage to get any packs out?

Thanks for keep pushing ^_^
