Still haven't worked out the composition of my next Vow, but I'm sure I'll have something up tomorrow. Since I'm out of re-purposed Blood Angels I have to figure out new squad colors. Before hand I had like 3-4 total space marines painted, now I have a whole army worth over 1500 points. The key was you use very light layers and work your way up and then use white at the center of the eye......then lay a wash over it. Now I spent most of last night trying to get a good skin colour and some of today and well its been a while since I painted flesh and it sucked big time. So much so that Marshal no name ended up looking like the paint test model from the Emperors pointy sticks. So ripped the head off and gave him a helmet and a raised bit at the back of his head which was painted from bare plastic. So more work and all that set me back a fair bit. That alone makes you worthy. Each one of us brings what we can to the Eternal Crusade, and together we overcome all that is laid before us. With that, I make up for my lack of painting skill by painting in volume. Vow Eight. “I Mystech1 answer the challenge of the Unforgiven and vow to complete Two 5 man Crusade Squads w/ Missile Launcher and plasmagun; a 5 man Command Squad w/ Multimela, Plasma Cannon and Srgt w/ Terminator Honors, Combi-Melta and Power Fist; and a 5 man Command Squad w/ 2x Heavy Bolters and Srgt w/ Terminator Honors, Power Fist and Storm Shield; all models with Crusader Seals from Codex: Black Templars of total value 562pts on or before August 15. Success will bring eternal glory to The Black Templars and failure will doom me to bear the sign of damnation until the year-end” Barring a major W.A.R.P Catastrophe, I will have these and another Vow completed on time.
