One word... Consistancy

All my Commissars have the same red/black scheme... It is just so in this season ;)

Not much exciting to report this weekend...

Here is the Kasrkin Sgt in a little more detail

Plus I have been steadily working my way through the next squad, No. 190. The command elements are completed but I am still painting the lasgunner arms for the remaining squad members plus some extras for 6 x HW squads which I hope to have completed by next weekend. I may manage to complete a second squad too if time allows.

On a sad note I have been celebrating the life of my all time favourite author Terry Pratchett by re-listening to some of the audio book adaptations I have while painting.

If anyone is yet to be introduced to his Discworld series I heartily recommend it. He was a true observer of the human condition. I often caught myself laughing out loud to the point of tears but he also had a deep and thought provoking vision of what makes people tick.

RIP Sir Terry

It is sad as I always fancied painting up some of the Discworld models that have been released and never got around to it but that will have to be for another forum as it is not 40K related :sad.:

You met my hero...and more than once... curse you! I am sooo jealous. :wallbash:

After writing all the fluff for the 711th I am tempted to put it all together in one thread rather than it being split up all over the place... There seems to be more and more of it.

What do you think? Good idea or not required?

Thanks Mehman :)

Here are some more then...

I managed to keep my head down and get 2 squads completed over the last 2 weeks along with starting work on 6 HW teams (3 x Mortars, 2 x Lascannons and 1 heavy bolter). The HW teams are being done not so much for the game value but I hate to waste bits... The Motars are not far along enough yet for photos but all 6 teams should be ready by next weekend.

Turn my head for a minute and these pop up. These look great, as always :smile.:!

One question: are the bases (and I've seen what you've done with sinking the spotter into the base, which is brilliant) going to be based as well? Personally, being able to take off a wound- the spotter- from the base and it look like the dirt underneath the grass has been exposed (a la blast) would be amazing. That, and, if I have to base my models you do, too :tongue.:!

Keep up the seriously good work, Commissar!

I did not have any plans to, but now you have got me thinking.... curse you :P

Fantastic stuff, the chocochips numbers must be looking quite healthy now :biggrin.: Good to see the custom HWT bases in action, they'll look great once based

I hope to get another group shot next weekend when the next 6 HWTs are done :)
