Amazing tanks! I had to resist the urge to go out and buy some Medusas for myself! :lol: Oh, with the squadron rules for the new Space Marines we're hearing about I wonder what terror the Guard may be able to unleash in the future? Excellent work commissar these fine war machines will add some much needed fire power to the 711th :D

They are a nice model to build plus they come with the bits for the Basilisk and the old style accessories sprue - Track Guards!!

 

What else could you ask for ;)

 

I will paint up the crew when I do the Hydra crew as a job lot to save time.

 

Hydra starts on Monday and will take about a week and a half so vow complete by end of June at the latest.

 

I am torn between Rough Riders or Ogryns after that but because of the amount of conversion/chopping required I do not feel comfortable in being able to finish a squad of either by the end of the ETL but we will see :)

More seriously though the tanks look awesome as usual. Like the potential on the bike. Have you thought about how to represent the lance? Maybe some sort of frag grenade launcher set up (think ironclad/LR crusader etc.) Could fit with the modern mechanised role?

Agreed, the Wyvern crew really pops in that scheme!  I wish I had the patience to do a spotted camo pattern.

Nice, the targeting screen is really cool, too.  I pondered having mine displaying a Pac-Man layout, but couldn't be bothered to actually paint it up . . .

I managed to get a chimera hull and I will be adding that to a Wyvern upper hull I acquired a few months ago so that will bring me up to 3.

 

The plan is progressing. Armour cloning :)

 

Still another 7 russes too.

My vow is now complete and owing to time constraints I don't feel safe with a new vow so I will be calling it a day with just one but it was a big one ;)

I will be continuing to paint more Guard and currently have 3 Ogryns about to get undercoated so there will be more progress...

Without further ado here is the last vehicle (Hydra/Wyvern) from my vow

Plus I added the crew to the 3 Medusas

And did not waste the Baneblade commander

And after all that work I just had to get another Army on Parade photo...

Seeing so many Guard models is a beautiful sight! Well done on yet another great vow, a solid contribution to the war effort :D The extra details on the shells and crew gives the artillery some real character, your opponents may find it hard to hate them as they obliterate his forces ;) Once the remaining models are complete looks to me like you still need some more heavy armour to round the force off... :P
