wickedcarrot
Hey guys! I have decided that I want to slowly build up a Nurgle 40k army, which will be a mix of Chaos Space Marines and Daemons. It will be fairly slow progress as I don't get much time to model and paint for myself, but I will keep you updated as often as I can! Right! So to start you off I have started converting my first Terminator. I have taken a few progress shots along the way. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j168/Thomas9287/SAM_0140.jpg I started by shaving the imperial eagle off a terminator chest and hacking some chunks out of it with some plastic cutters. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j168/Thomas9287/SAM_0141.jpg I had some old starter set terminator legs kicking around so I decided I would use them, I just needed to removed the rear torso. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j168/Thomas9287/SAM_0142.jpg I removed the purity seal with a knife as I didn't want him looking like an Imperial marine. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j168/Thomas9287/SAM_0143.jpg The messy bits were then smoothed with Plastic Weld, which when brushed onto the surface sort of melts the plastic and blends the tatty bits into the main bulk of the plastic. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j168/Thomas9287/SAM_0144.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j168/Thomas9287/SAM_0145.jpg I wanted to get some inspiration for the head convertion so I had a look though my bitz box for other Nurgly bitz that I could steal ideas from. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j168/Thomas9287/SAM_0181.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j168/Thomas9287/SAM_0182.jpg Cheers for looking! Lexington
Lovely! Great start to the project. Keep it up, and make sure to give Curis his proper daily beatings at the Golem lair. matchbox
looks awesome. i still swear that pre-heresy DG is the best colour scheme for Nurgle armies. But i may be biased XD Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/269924-wickedcarrots-conversion-clinic-of-nurgle/#findComment-3288598 Share on other sites
Lachdannan
Looks great in a horrid and diseased way. I too am interested in how you will paint them up. I also do like the pre-heresy look of the Death Guard but all made a bit dirty. Though I'm sure no matter what scheme you decide to do it will look good. wickedcarrot
Decided that I preferred the mouth without the tentacles on this guy, might add a tentacly mouth on another guy though :) http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j168/Thomas9287/Nurgle-Army-Test_zps67fe1483.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/269924-wickedcarrots-conversion-clinic-of-nurgle/#findComment-3313096 Share on other sites
