I finally had time to paint a bit. I got a lot to do to finish my LPC.

Really been putting the brushes to work lately, and especially since I am eyeballing another forgeworld order, I'd like to finish what I've got first.

I moved into my new place, and to celebrate, I bought a new airbrush. It's way faster to pump these guys out. Even if I never win a game, I take home the moral victory, knowing I’ve blinded my opponents (With the truth of the Emperor.. Or the golden yellow..)

Argh! My eyes! Seriously good looking rich yellow. I like how you're going for a solid siege theme throughout and a huge amount of mk3 armour. I take it you've been reading Betrayer? I'm looking forward to seeing what a 20 man breacher squad looks like. I bet a Vindicator would be used by the Fists in a defensive manner. Big shield, big gun, heavily armoured and heavy looking, much like the mk3 guys... Go on.

I've read Betrayer, and given the Imperial Fists history with siege, MkIII seems most fitting (and most awesome..)

 

As for a Legion Vindicator, it seems viable and a nice addon to make 2k, since my current list is 1850.

Ceramite armour, combi-bolter and dozer blade hits 150pts on the nose, it's fate!

 

I know there's other artillery options available but for me the guard tanks don't look right aesthetically in Legion forces, except maybe Iron Warriors, and you don't want to be like them do you?

 

If you magnetised the demolisher cannon there'd also be the option for a laser destroyer if you found you were light on anti-tank. Don't glue the dozer blade to the chassis, or the hatches either for that matter and you leave plenty flexibility. The Vindicator can be a handy filler in a list, can go from bare bones at around 120pts right upto around 170pts with all the toys added.

The thing I'm reluctant about is that I don't have a mkI chassis for the guy. I'm ok with waiting, but I really want the new batmobile that was unveiled at the weekender. Unf

After this army, I’m never painting a rivet again. Going to get some of the imperial fists decals from forgeworld when times are a little easier… The only things I need to bring this warmachine to 3,000 points (Ignore the flyers) is a 10 man squad of Cataphractii terminators, 3 Predators, a Spartan Assault Vehicle, 15 more marines, and the rapier batteries. 

 

 I also traded away my magic cards for a big new toy..

After this, Im probably gonna start work on my Confrontation army (Drune Kelts), Infinity (Pan-O Knights) army,  finishing my UCM dropzone commander army. I doubt I'll start a mechanicum detachment, but I have a few space wolves I'd like to paint,

I tried fading with my airbrush, and I really liked how this guy is turning out. I need some strong ass monster magnets though, as his arms and torso arent magnetized..

Wanna buy one for me? I'm unemployed so all my extra cash goes to future bills.

 

The agenda for 3k points though, is pretty rad - once things start looking better monetary wise.

 

I'm gonna end up getting 3 predators, another squad of terminators, a Spartan, 2 more quad guns, and finishing out my squads (15 more MKIII marines, 5 more breacher marines).. I'm debating about doing 1500 points of mechanicus so I can do a battle for mars army. Because the Thallax and Castellax look rad.

Tried my hand at freehanding symbols, and I need a bit more work. I'm also not entirely sure if I want to have a white background or not for the symbol. no background gives me a bit more room so the fist will look neater, but the circle with black is more visually striking.

Wow, I love the freehanded IF symbols. They're, as you've said, not perfect, but the IF symbol is probably one of the hardest to reproduce so I applaud your effort and your results! (Plus 30k Fists are always great!)

With the new apocalypse rulebook, I can take defense formations and show them what happens when the advancing hordes run into a immovable object.

 

That said, I have plans for post heresy. Not sure which direction to take this ship, as I have about 80 marines just laying around unassembled and unpainted - I was thinking Ultramarines 2nd Company, as I already have Sicarus and the Ultramarines honor guard, but then there's also Iron Snakes, Minotaurs, Salamanders, or maybe Night Lords that were still loyal to the Emperor and were Terran Veterans who fled before the purges. There's a ton of options and I am not sure which direction I want to go with this.
