Alright, so it's been a while since I've been properly sidetracked, so this was likely to happen sooner or later :D

 

I've recently come across a bunch of new stuff, generously donated to me by a good friends brother and that have led me to starting a small bunch of World Eaters :angel:

Since I have painted Angron it has been itching in me to do some more blood spattered maniacs, so here we go.

 

Let's start of wih Angron, which I've had featured on a few other threads, he's now the main guy in charge.

I've also been fidling around with another crazy idea I had, the hand splatter brush... It's been a lot of fun :D

It's basically a custom made silicone brush, made with the single purpose of splattering astartes in blood :evilgrin: 

 

I'll have an update soon with more of this... Until then, watch your back for chain axes...

The bloody handprint brush is amazing. You should get it registered as your invention before some big company "cough" GW "cough" steals the design and makes a load of cash. Then sue's you for displaying your home made version on a plog.

Anyway as soon as I saw your Angron I knew you would end up getting side tracked. But what the hell! As long as you keep making superb models and giving us great paint jobs, everyone will be happy biggrin.png

Why have one brilliant Heresy army when you can have 2!!!!

That Termie with the uber axe is tickling my heretical parts.

That handbrush is GREAT idea, could also be great on terrain/bases for some horror movie-esque blood trails devil.gif

Ohh, that'd be cool, I might try it out on some buildings at some point. Great idea biggrin.png

I find those brushes very disturbing. eek.gif They seem to work shockingly well though.

Haha that was the point, and it might be dumb luck that it actually works, not sure on that yet.

Haha my girlfriend actually said the same thing XD How awesome would it be to be the inventor of the bloody hand brush XD

And I must admit that my next sidetrack is already planned, and will probably come as no wonder that it includes Abaddon and Loken, I want to enter them as a duel in a painting comp soon so will have to order him as soon as I get my paycheck biggrin.png

Also, I've never been much of a mathematician, but 2 seems awfully low... I might end up doing a bunch over time tongue.png

I think the big guy might look cooler with a shorter, heavier axe. Like, trimming the bit separating the axe head from the hand, and making it chunkier or double headed....

 

It just sounds like it would be more appropriately brutish.

Those Tartaros Terminators are breathtaking. I've been umming and ahhing about Tartaros Termies for my Heresy-era Wolves, but filing off 5 Crux Termaintuses and 2 Aquilas makes me hesitant to invest. 

 

Suddenly, I'm thinking twice.

 

EDIT: Forgive the potentially stupid question, but where'd you get the lightning claw arms from, and are they an easy kitbash?

Soul? what soul ;) He'll be hacking apart loyalist marines I think, thinking of going siege of Terra on his base :P Got a bit of experience painting IF so they might meet the fury of the 12th son of the emperor.

A D-B? I didn't know my work attracted celebrities, I'm honoured to have you aboard good sir :D

And I can strongly recommend the tartaros kit, it's great and honestly removing the aquilas and cruxes aren't that hard. I use a knife but a file would do just as great a job. Just remember to keep the skulls from the cruxes, they make excellent decorations elsewhere :)

And yeah, the lightning claws are from the tartaros CCW set from FW and are okay, but mine took a hell of alot of cleanup.... They look ridiculously cool though :P

I can't believe you didn't ask me, dude. Is it because of the large numbers of Iron Warriors I'm churning out? msn-wink.gif

Wow, nice project. Terminators are looking great, especially the guy with the axe. Those hand brushes are a stroke of genius.

Thanks man, I gotta say it's hard to choose between painting blood soaked maniacs and starting on my fellblade, they're both so much fun :D
