DR's Consecrators

[Dark Rage]

Hey all,

 

So I recently decided to switch from DA to start making a Consecrator force, mainly because I like the old DA scheme from RT and also a lot of the old pre heresy stuff and since the Consecrators background states they use a lot of relics I decided it would be good force to use some pre heresy stuff in.

 

Made a start on them during the LPC with a Company Master and a Venerable Dreadnought, just got done finishing a Contemptor and currently working on 2 Tactical's, then onto some RW and DW support.

Excellent Dark Rage - I think your Contemptor is very imposing! Well done mate!

 

I think your attempt on the RT inspired Termie suit is impressive. I have the feeling however that it's only a matter of time before FW comes up with hteir own version!

@Captain Semper: probably right about FW, they have been really making a lot of new stuff for their pre heresy range and do hope to see a version of the RT termies, hope to see some of the old RT land speeders eventually as well in the future.

Dark Rage, that Contemptor looks fantastic! Awesome job with the plasma cannon. The RT styled Termi looks really cool too! Keep 'em coming!

A little update, kind of a slow painter when it comes to infantry, tend to lose motivation quicker than individual miniatures, Got 5 out of the 10 man squad complete but now going to leave them and focus on some units for the ETL since I missed last years. As for the terminator progress, I plan on redoing the arms with some different weapons since I think the current ones were a little bit to big.

 

Still thinking what to do for the ETL so will post a bit later with what I think I can mange in the time frame, need the motivation to start painting more often.

I like the "shield" added too the AC, but this is only one side (left) would not have made ​​more sense?

@Galthan Ironsturm - I agree with that way and I did try the shield with only 1 side shielded but it didn't look that great, I just think of the other shield as protecting the ammo magazine from being damaged.

 

Just got the Belial 'count as' finished for my ETL vow, starting on the tactical and chaplain next.

Thanks for the replies, working on the 5 man squad at the moment and was thinking about making them specific to the ETL with some B&C iconography.

 

@Stobz - Your right about the images had some problems with my camera recently, updated the images with some new ones which I hope are a bit better.

 

@Jeremy1391 - Not great with doing names but I decided on Zamiel, I think its the name of a demon from a novel.

Dark Rage, I think that Belial is awesome!!! Fantastic work on all your squads so far, they are looking great. I like the red stripe on the bone tabard, it really sets him apart! Where did the halo come from, it looks great!?
