Alright, between all of the Chaos Knights I've been seeing here lately, and my own love of Chaos, I'm going to have to dedicate my Knight to Chaos.

But, by the unholy gods, that is a excellent model. If it wasn't for the greenstuff, I'd say that thing looks like it was meant to be assembled like that. The tusks are perfect.

@Dark Apostle - Glory to the Dark Gods, Brother!

@Candleshoes - Much appreciated, my friend. Much appreciated. :)

@The Warmaster - Then I know my job has been done. A hour of positioning, tearing apart and reposition all completely worth it now!

@ Jaspcat - I'm not sure I know what you're talking about, buddy...

Wow, haven't had this much activity over a model in a while. Thanks, guys! :happy.:

@Jaspcat - Thank you, my friend. Glad you like him

@Kizzdougs - Glad that 'brutal' effect I was trying to pull off went through. Hopefully I can maintain that sort of look whenever I get around to being able to buy the other Knights. I wants a Knight contingent, dammit! :biggrin.:

@Demon - Join us.......... Join us............

@The Lord Marshal - Little plastic men indeed

@Kraut - Appreciate it, my man. Yeah, I will admit they were a real pain in the ass to deal with those legs and took me three times to reposition the model on the base to make the thing fit correctly but I finally got it down after a while. Nah, I don't think I'll be adding a pilot to the inside. No its not a Daemon (yet) but I think it would just be too much effort for a detail no one's going to see because I'm going to be gluing the top on most likely.

@Flint - I'm glad you ask that question! To answer from the get go, yes I will be leaving it bare for painting purposes. Moving on to explaining why, well I suppose that just means I should explain a bit of detail into the Knight's home.

So, for this guy (and any other Knights I ever get) I decided that I would follow in the footsteps of my good friend Vazzy who used his own last name and family crest for the House. I will be doing the same, sort of a way I can drive my blade an a little piece of myself further into Warhammer's spine. To that end, my last name is Leleux, a word that comes from Archaic French meaning 'Someone who is cunning or untrustworthy. Also a title signifying The Wolf ' I suppose with a name like that, I was always destined to play Chaos... :unsure.:  I know its rather small, but here's the only image I could find on the internet of my family crest. Anything else and I'd have to try and take pictures of or scan some old documents my father has, and I'd rather not risk damaging them.

As you can see, the crest is a trifecta of bastions on a blue surface. I'll be attempting to paint this to the best of my abilities on the right shoulder pad and possibly on the coat of arms shield. As for the color scheme, I was going to continue with the theme and use either a straight royal blue or half it with black. The trim will of course be silver.

So what do you guys think?

as coat of arms go for us unimportant families, they are usually crappy. but yours is not bad. and it actually works well for 40k knights.  and yes i think you were destined for chaos

Hail to the Ruined King, Brothers and Sisters. So, as you can tell, I'm back from my trip to Massachusetts. No, I sadly didn't was not able to complete my Vow for the ETL, but my Brothers and Sisters of the Chaos boards seem to pull out a resounding win even without me so I guess its ok. Either way, I suppose I deserve and explanation to you guys. With that, I give you my excuse, and  I don't regret a single moment of it (or the fact that I am now completely broke...

And yes, I know I have an absolutely terrible smile.... :pinch:

But now back to why we're all here, yes? Little plastic men. So, with my return home and the few weeks that I have before the next semester of College begins, I almost immediately got back into the hobby. The first of the things I did, of course, was to build the model I had been so eager to work on since I got it as a gift from a friend but had been holding off on because of the ETL and the beginning of Grotsmasha's modeling competition. But now one has ended and the other has begun. So without further adue, I give you General Borcus, Seneshal of House Leleux and Commander of what remains of the Ibreian Defense Force. More models and fluff to come.

Enjoy.

First off, I think you have a beautiful smile (but who's that bespectacled bloke on the right?) ;)

Noctus, I couldn't sleep and decided to just go on here to wait for the sandman to arrive - read through your entire thread and I must say mate I am very impressed. I love your unorthodox conversions and your can-do attitude. It looks like you just dive into it - which to me is a trait to be envied for any converter and kitbasher.

I love the Knight - especially the pose. Brilliant work. :tu:

Hey man, that knight is literally a work of beauty. I look forward to putting it into the Earth....

Much appreciated, man. Here's to hoping that I can get him painted soon, eh? ;)

That knight is absolutely fantastic man. I find it's so damn hard to pose a model so that it looks awesome from every angle, especially the Knight Titan, but you pulled it off. Cheers man.

Awesome to see you back on here, my friend. Really glad you like the titan. I'm extremely proud of the work I've don with him :happy.:

Is it wrong that my favourite part is the left foot and how it rests.

Given that the positioning of the model's feet and legs alone took me nearly an hour, no its not wrong at all.

Maybe that means you should stick around and offer your input more often! I promise I'll make more Night Lords if you do~

  • 2 weeks later...

So nothing finished just yet, ladies and gents. I've moved the giant mass of bitz boxes into my work space and have started trying to simply just enjoy myself and build more Chaos Space Marines (among other things).

That being said however, gents, I have a little something to share with you. Can you take a guess who he is and where he's from? He may be a bit more familiar than you think. ;)

Enjoy.

I don't know the character's name but that's a brilliant use of the cloak from the DV Chaos Lord.  I've been thinking about how to use that particular bit myself.  The more SoH you post the more I'm inclined to build some myself.

Well get to it then, my friend. ;)
