The BL champ is absolutely amazing -- as are most of your kitbashes, actually ;) The only thing that seems slightly wonky to me is the Thousand Sons loincloth - although the eye of Horus on it is definitely a nice touch, the composition just seems slightly off. Maybe that'll sort itself out during painting, though.

Some of the elements of the model really recall Horus (the fur cloak, for example), which makes me thing this guy would be an awesome representation of "Little Horus" Aximand.

Anyway, amazing work! :)

Really glad everyone seems to like him, makes me all the more excited to get him painted. Now as an added little bonus of what's in store, and a bit of a promise I made to Augustus, here's the next completed model I've made today, my counts as Fabius Bile. Many more to come. ;)

Enjoy.

Kizzdougs - Glad you like them, my friend. Loving how your Emperor's Children are coming, though I must confess I am sad to see you no longer working on your beautiful Chaos Space Marines. :sad.:

Thanks mate! Don't worry, the Chaos Space Marines have not be shelved for good. I'm currently working on a BL champion for the Daemonic Pact event and I've got some vehicle upgrade kits from Subtle Discord that need some attention at sometime. It's just a matter of waiting for the right inspiration to come along :)

Glory to the Ruined King, brothers and sisters. Yesterday has marked yet another year that I have survived on this wretched piece of rock we call home, filled only with spite and hatred where blood had run dry long ago....

Yay Birthdays! :P  In all seriousness though, folks, I had a wonderful Birthday. Got to dine on delicious fried Alligator (a favorite of mine) got a new display case being shipped to my house to put all my completed models in so that they don't have to get shoved in boxes and break constantly, and the best shirt from my girlfriend.

I think this solidifies the fact that she's a real keeper. :P

Now, on to my little plastic men, yes? Well about a month ago, some random fellow sold his Chaos army to my Local Gamestore, meaning the units were ripe for the picking. Sadly someone had bought the Daemonettes and Keeper of Secrets before I could, but I managed to grab myself a couple Plague Drones, a squad of Plaguebearers, and a squad of the older metal horrors. I only just recently got the chance to work with them and I will say that in their simplicity, they were such a treat to put together. I must admit, I was very skeptical of the newer plastic Plaguebearers up until now. The paintscheme GW gave them was hardly what I call flattering, and I will admit there are some rather dumb facial expressions on some of them. However, these guys are just jam packed with detail I didn't expect and are really a considerable step up from the 'ugly as sin' older metal ones.

Here's a work in progress of a simple herald of Nurgle.

I can't quite say the same for the horrors however as I'm absolutely in love with the twisted macabre visage of the older metal ones where you can see the horrors reaching out from the mouths of others. Its just so gruesome and awesome. Now I will note that I did NOT paint them. They came this way and while they do look great, I will not be keeping them this way. I must admit that I have always had an idea I really wanted to try out, sort of a mix of inspiration coming from one of the old Grey Knight books where they come upon a Tzeentch world made of flesh and blood aswell as the classic D&D 'Gibbering Mouther' creatures.

What I'm likely going to do is have these guys painted in an almost pinkish flesh color but then gorify them, blood oozing from their gaping fanged maws, skinless blood-soaked new horrors tearing their way out eager to absorb yet more flesh for the great evolution of the human body into something of ascension.

Aaaaand last but not least, a Work in Progress of a Nurgle Herald on a Palanquin. This one is completely custom made and will require a lot more work and additions to it. Essentially this guy is sort of a take on the Bakkus mythology, a bloated and jovial plague lord who has forsaken his duties as a tallyman, rather to indulge in a lascivious life of gluttony and celebration of life. While this can be construed as more of a Slaanesh thing (and I assure, he's quite fond of Slaanesh), I see this more as a Nurgle thing, delighting in the pleasures and joy of life as much as he does death. This fine fellow lounges upon his expansive platform, cleaver resting at his hip, a skin sack of pestulent and fermented ale next to him being carried aloft by some miserable beast of burden melded into the platform itself. His head is taken from the Chaos Shrine idol, something I'm intending to paint as an actual mask to mimic the Bakkus party masks.

Awesome update mate love the nurgle Deamons and that's a sweet shirt

I know, right? Thanks, mate, I'll be sure to wear it to the gamestore tonight :D

Looking great mate - keep it up!

*salutes* aye aye!

Happy birthday dude. You have my fav horror models. I think we see Tzeentch in much the same way. Looking forward to see what you do with them.

I will be sure to do them justice then, sir.

Happy belated bday buddy! Glad to hear it was an awesome one.

The lil nurgley bits look like they're coming on quite well. Can't wait to see them all painted.

Tnaks, gurl. Thing is though that most of them require a bit of greenstuff work before I can start really painting and for the life of me I don't know why but something in the back of my head is telling me I shouldn't touch it... Go figure. :wacko.:

Tasty nurgle stuff there. And great taste in t-shirts too.

And a belated happy birthday

Oy, thanks mate. :smile.:

really like the Count as fabius bile, the demons are very demonic, but i like the chaos marines better, mostly its cause GW demons are just too cute and silly.

anyways looking good and keep it up, we neeeeed more chaos! more!

I can certainly respect and agree with that assessment, brother. The problem is that Chaos Space Marines just have a much wider set of possibilities in terms of its composition and aesthetics in comparison to Daemons who are rather limited outside of outright sculpting your own. With that in mind, I find it much easier for me to work with daemons as it brings out a bit of my lazy side and I can just churn them out much easier than Chaos Marines. Know what I mean? :P
