TITH battle for Macragge turned up in the post. Only bought it for the crashed lander. All the space marines are in it and so are the nids and termagants along with all the other bits and pieces. Only things missing are Lieutenant Varras and the fusion core. The minis have been overpainted so gonna strip them down and redo them I think.

TITH worked on a couple of Brazen Minotaurs.  Can only paint for about 15 minutes then my cast hand swells up.

Hey, didn't the doc tell you to keep it elevated? The trick is to lay on your back and paint up above your face. That'll keep it from swelling. :D

And TITH I finally finished my assault squad. I'm really happy with the job and the basing works for me. Now to figure out what's next. I also used Perfect Paper Adhesive for the first time today. @Subtle Discord has been going on about it and I thought I'd give it a try. Good stuff!

@reldn: (sung to the tune of rollin by limp bizkit)

Alright, partner
Keep on choomin', baby
You know what time it is
Throw your hands up
Ladies and gentlemen
(Redacted by the Inquisition)
Keep on chooming baby
Move in, now move out
Hands up, now hands down
Back up, back up
Tell me what you're gonna do now
Breath in, now breath out
Hands up, now hands down
Back up, back up
Tell me what you're gonna do now
Keep choomin' choomin' choomin' choomin' (what?)
Keep choomin' choomin' choomin' choomin'  (come on)
Keep choomin' choomin' choomin' choomin'  (yeah)
Keep choomin' choomin' choomin' choomin'

As for which legion to go for as a secondary, do you want a force you could field as a combined list ? (IE some more heretics) or just something other than your current colour scheme for a break?

If it's the former maybe some deathguard or emperors children, If it's the latter how about some imperial fists or raven guard

Back on topic:
TITHI Painted some more poxwalkers and bought a can of retributor armour spray for my inbound custodes purchases

:laugh.: . No he said if it hurts take a pill if it doe not take a pill . TITH looking through my bitz containers for a Sword for a one off Black Templar.

TITHI continued work on my command tanks. Most of the Primaris’s dish is painted, need to paint the antenna to complete that. Excelcior is having the front side doors repainted a nice white-over-bronze, which allows for some more differentiation with the colors and details of those peices. Probably try a marble vein effect tomorrow and see how it works (hopefully I don’t frag it up too badly).

Today in the hooby, I'm working on yet more Word Bearers. This time a 10-man Support squad with Flamers, working on slightly modifying a BaC chaplain to have a Volkite Charger in place of the Plasma Pistol and working on the Gal Vorbak...again... (I've been having a terrible time getting these guys assembled. The glue just does not want to set for some reason).

@Reldn Have you considered employing the dark art of pinning?

I find bonsai wire is ideal for it flexible enough while still being strong and as a plus it comes in decent sized rolls relatively cheaply.

TITHI Applied the transfers to my converted primaris captain, did some more work on the 30 (out of 40) poxwalkers and buying a coronus (the answer is yes just not yet)

Indeed. That's my next step. Just need to gather the requisite materials and I can begin the ritual. *laughs*

I'll keep an eye out for the bonsai wire and give it a try. Which size do you recommend?

Hobby plans changed a bit today: Got my Chaplain converted, and instead of starting on a Support squad armed with Flamers I have started on a second 20-man Tac squad.

@Reldn The stuff i use is about 1mm in width

TITHI Experimented with agrellan earth technical paint while helping my nephew base some of his 4th company smurfs, things i learnt

1: that stuff doesn't do many bases as it has to go on really thickly

2: use the wash afterwards sparingly

3: never leave the paints unattended when his 3 yo sister is nearby, she did her nails with the agrellan earth paint (quite neatly but her mum was unimpressed)

TITH I bought dark vengeance on eBay for £75 still wrapped up. Then went into my local GW and the manager told me he had copies in the stock room and they were £65 doh!!! Bought the citadel pin vice because the one I bought on eBay a few weeks back was cheap tat! And bought a load of paints too.

TITHI Painted yet more pustules and buboes on poxwalkers, only ten left to do then i can move on to their eyes, clothes and weapons.

Might actually get them done in time for the game on Friday night

N(ext)W(eek)ITHI Shall hopefully be painting lots of custodes gold
