TITH I go some more work done on my Red Scorpions Kill-Team. Shades and Highlights next. Trying to speed up my painting and not obsess so much over each detail. Side note, Shapeways pads are awesome, and saved me having to pay insane prices for the Forge World transfer sheet on eBay.

Hah, nonsense Warriorhunter dude, your white is pristine and awesomely enviable... and you did a drop pod -stares at one and tries not to scream- Glad to see some mk. IV marines too, (still lov the basing you've got going on... gotta go check that blog to see how many ya got now, mate!)

Eh WarriorHunter, no problem mate. Got any plans for those mk. IV in general? They're pretty versatile figures, so going all bolter tacs or something else? (The number of support squads I have is kinda getting crazy when plugged into Battlescribe as 'havoc' squads, and I think my own Calth set ended up with 2 vets in each squad with a special weapon and one sergeant with a combi which let me get away with it). Always curious on what people do with a plastic contemptor, too so be sure to show us when it's done up!

That does sound pretty fun, Reough, getting that type of terrain on the table is pretty fun and usually quick enough. Man, still gotta get a game of Necromunda in (yet to play a game, too many excuses going around).

As for me, TITH, I finished up the last of my Luna Wolves on foot, figuring out how to expand it when my supply of mk. IV is exhausted (assault squads are a possibility, Contemptors are cool, drop pods I'm getting right now).

The MK4 will be built up for the game, so a Sgt, 7 tacticals, and a Heavy and Special weapons marine per squad. The specials are easy to magnetize so I only need one body each, but I have to build out a HB/ML for each squad in case I want to rotate. That's not a huge deal because I can then throw them into a devastator squad for 40k.

My contemptor is going to be primed soon. I'm waiting on some Las cannon and Auto Cannon bits so I can run it as a mortis in 40k and I'll get the kheres and combat arm done for calth. I did some conversion work on the contemptor to repose it since the stock pose is very static and boring.

TITH I got some KT Arena terrain primed and I decided to convert my Dark Imperium Gravis captain into a Librarian and got started on that:

Aye, WarriorHunter, I remember magging out the heavy bolter and special weapons too (second time around when I went with Word Bearers I just pasted them straight in.  Didn't have time for it and by then 16th legion became my go-to). Fun thing about running those 'vet/40K tac' squads is some nice weapon flexibility... for some reason I remember the mk. IV HB arm guards being a pain while the mk. III HB looked functionally identical but didn't have them.  Hmmm.

Ooooh veeery nice contemptor.  Glad to see the static pose got cut out and the base looks terrific for 'em. Definitely hear ya, the stock pose for the contemptor was massively disappointing.  Y'know, I've never seen anyone use the kheres and multi melta pose before?  Like, ever now that I think about it.  It's pretty cool, and yeah, a mortis with dual kheres (Are 40K dual las a thing for loyalists relic contemptors?  I seem to recall being frustrated that they were weirdly absent for traitors which is why I took the dual auto butcher cannons).

Looks like a great way to work in a gravis librarian, and... weirdly I don't even know what that new arena terrain looks like.  Huh, gonna have to look it up.

Well done mate, can't wait to see 'em done up!

TITHI found where my Dark Angels Battleforce box disappeared to. So, now I'll be working on building that box to a ready point for ease of painting.

I also did a count, and I actually have a decently-sized Ravenwing force right now.

Thewarriorhunter that looks great! Is it hilighted up from black or some kind of blue-black metallic?

Rattle can Rust-Oleum metallic base coat, Vallejo gun metal blue, gold, and red for the details with a nuln oil wash. I'm going to dry brush steel and call it done.

I tidied up some pre-built Dark Imperium plague marines (got rid of mould lines and smoothed off some sprue artefacts) ready for a base coat next weekend and ready for taking my youngest daughter to a painting lesson at the local GW the following weekend.

TITHI fixed a few bits that had broken off some models that were in a box that I dropped a few days ago. I think the repairs will hold (at least what I’ve done so far), but I have a couple more repairs that will be rather more delicate, and require a steadier hand than I usually have. We’ll see what tomorrow brings, though.
