TITH I finished my Laspred despite the that the weather suddenly remembered that 'Hey it's summer!' and everything is currently horrendously warm and moist.

Now I can hopefully get cracking properly on my ETL vows, provided the weather allows airbrush in the next couple of days.

...Overall model color scheme is unremarkable, if effective.

Thanks for the compliments! To address your criticism I inverted my scheme for the Librarian. Normally it's light gray with blue detail but I didn't want to have an all blue librarian so I decided to keep the light gray for trim. I think it helps him stand out on the tabletop as a libby but he still retains the scheme of my homebrew chapter.

Oh, it's only mild criticism, after all. Actually, I think your chapter scheme seems a bit... pastel. But hey, it works in canon and it's a cool, unique color at face value, so whatever. Paired with the purple details, it reeeeeally works, though.

That's the first time I've heard pastel used, but not the first time I've heard people say they don't... 'care' for my color scheme... *shrug*. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I don't mind the critique, and if it's constructive I greatly appreciate it.

I'm glad you think the purple ties it together, as that was my goal. My wife came up with the scheme so I'm sticking with it because I like it and she thought of it. She doesn't participate in the hobby at all so when she put the colors together I was happily surprised and decided to adopt it for my custom chapter.

TITH I managed to spill the rest of my Nuln Oil. Directly onto my bed. Now I have to spend the $7.50 to get another pot of it before I can even touch my ETL vows anymore. Yay.

The Gods of Chaos have sought their vengeance upon you for calling my scheme 'pastel' :tongue.:

Just kidding, sorry about your loss. No one likes spilling their paint pots, especially on something that will stain.

Looks good! I feel like a wash would help the colour scheme because it looks very bright, but you do you mate, it's quite fitting for the theme that you seem to be going with.

Appreciate the compliment! It's darker in person. My light setup is not ideal for photos and everything is always brighter than it should be. I think a photo booth is in short order for me.

@thewarriorhunter: I think if your colors are getting washed out, a photo booth is definitely in order. On the other hand, it might help to push the contrast some more, perhaps by having a darker shade on the blue. Not make the overall color darker (it's a nice shade of blue), but deepen the shadows with some light glazes of a dark blue ink/wash in your shadow spots.

And I thought spilling half of my nightshade on my desk was bad—good lord.

Hopefully it comes out of fabric easily.

Oddly the first thought in my head was did it shade the recesses on the material? Seriously though, unlucky. I hope it doesn't set you too far back.

TITHI Almost completed a squad of ten black legion csm but got distracted by my niece and nephew, I'll do the argax earthshade wash (to mute the gold trim) tonight, then it's on to some greater possessed, obliterators and finally back to some loyalists to cleanse my palette:wink:

Rubber bands give +1 to saves against blunt melee weapons like thunder hammers and the clothes pins turn the Gatling Canon into a melee variant.

Seriously though I didn't want it coming apart... Ever. So I clipped off all the push fit pins and glued the components together.

Pre-ordered seven Contrast paints.

Added a metric ton of Space Wolves bits to my basket on Wayland, only to delete them again eventually. Trying to stop myself starting a new army. Actually two new armies... I want to do a squad of Wolves in brown leather, and a squad of Salamanders in red. Please help me.
