TiTHI finished and photographed my Wall of Martyrs defense line. I'm quite happy with the result apart from forgetting to paint the cage lights.

LNITH I started painting a Stormcast Eternal to practice NMM Gold as a test, as well as did the best face I've done to date (full sized originals and crops because dang heads are smaller than I though):

Good table top quality at least.

TITH I remembered why priming with a rattlecan in summer is such a :censored: business. Screw this, I'm gonna get an airbrush.

Summer is usually one of the better seasons for me as the humidty is lower so it dries faster and is less likely to fuzz up.

That said, an airbrush is better in general.

The primer tends to have this weird, coarse finish for me, and I find it very hard and exhausting to save. As it stands right now, the airbrush setup I've planned out will cost me 250 bucks. Definetely not cheap, but at least I can prime and/or basecoat models regardless of weather or daytime, and most importantly, I can do it inside.

TITH I got pictures done, covering the results from the last few days. Check out a Herald of Nurgle and some Nurglings here, as well as Poxwalker-Cultists for Necromund here.

TITH I finished painting eleven Poxwalkers for use in Necromunda - almost tripling the amount of models I have painted in 2019 so far!

Waitwaitwait, you can use Poxwalkers in Necromunda?

They are used with the rules for Chaos Cults. The ones done so far (see the second link above) are (almost) not converted, so will only cover weapons like knives, clubs and some reclaimed firearms. I have some converted versions too though, and plan to have a solid selection in terms of weapons done soon.

"just finish those Luna Wolves," they said.

"It won't be that hard, they're practically done!" they said.

"It'll be in the next online battle report so it'll look great." they said.

I am Vykes, I have 4 drop pods to finish up in 4 days, and Today in the Hobby, I am in drop pod hell.

UUUUUUUUUGH!!!

No pictures tonight (I'll do a proper write up later for any Ork players who want to use my method though), but I primed and gave a Savage Warboss, 2 Wurrgog Prophets and 2 Wardokks a contrast coat for their skin. I also gave the stone weapons some base washes and did laid down some base work for the leather.

Still need to do all the Squig leather, add more Squigs to the bases (because why not?) and fill in the other details (like the war paint) along with properly basing the army.

Still, it's a start and these guys will be a nice breather from the biggest Smurf of them all.

TITH I made a tutorial for how I'm doing Ork Flesh. It's not quite as bright and cartoony as the Bonesplitterz box art, but I think the effect is ultimately better than Contrast out of the pot:

The tutorial: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/356839-zenithal-ork-flesh-contrast-tutorial/

I've also ordered my very first Ultramarine model today (the Big G himself) for my Everchosen entry, and will be building a bucket load of Ork models today at my FLGS as I continue working on the Orks.
